to my Weight Loss Story. My name is Katherina and I am documenting my WLS. I will be having Gastric Bypass Roux En Y. My highest weight is 356 on January 2020. Since then I have been attempting to get my health in check to relieve the struggles of diabetes, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure and endometriosis. I am a stroke survivor and want to ensure that I don't have another one. I am the mother of two boys and the the step mother of a wonderful young lady. I have been with my husband for 17 wonderful years. With the love and support of my family and friends, my medical team and with the strength and protection of the All Mighty, I commit myself to beating my food addiction and get rid of my binge habits. On this channel I will share my struggles and my successes and perhaps help another soul who is struggling with the same issues. I want to be healthy, mentally and physically. I hope to bring value, motivation and encouragement to this channel. WELCOME to my Journey. I hope to see you here, often! In this video I share about my second month Post-Op Gastric Bypass Surgery. I talk about how much weight I have lost, how many inches and Foods I consume in this Post Op stage of my journey.
Being 5 months post-op Gastric Bypass surgery is a transformative experience. The first few weeks after surgery can be challenging, with strict dietary guidelines and recovery from the procedure. However, as time passes, the body begins to adjust, and the results of the surgery become more apparent.
The most significant change is often weight loss, with many patients experiencing significant drops in weight in just the first few weeks. Additionally, the surgery can lead to improved overall health, including reduced risk for obesity-related diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
Just in the past month I was able to fit in a Restaurant Booth, Ride a Ferris Wheel with my 11 year old son and Dance the night away at a Janet Jackson concert!

You are an inspiration for me. Even with you going through a stall your attitude and your contagious smile is so encouraging. I am 3 months post op and also going through a stall. But I will concentrate on the positive things I can do now that I couldn’t last year, like gardening. And it feels fantastic.

I had RNY on 4/7/23 in the US. I gained 15 pounds from surgery and it took me almost 3 weeks to lose it again; Then I stalled until THIS week! SO frustrating, so I feel your pain. LOL All we can do is just keep on keepin' on doing what works and stay off the scale as much as possible. But now that Im losing again, Im on it every other day again. I know, Im obsessed now because Im so close to Onederland. lol

Thanks for the update. You look so happy! I am currently on day 6 of preop diet. Surgery on june 8. I have a question for you. I know you said that you eat things in moderation. Do you ever get frustrated that you cant eat more than a few bites? What do you do to cope now that you cant binge anymore? I have used food for comfort in the past. I am concerned that i dont have the tools to handle my stress without being able to stuff it.

How did your surgery go? How are you feeling? I am still working on my food addictions and sometimes I eat something that I shouldn't. The key is to remove the negative feelings associated to the binge and remove the guilt. If you "fail" take it as a moment to reflect on what and why you chose that food rather than something that is more nutritious and allow yourself to learn and grow from your experiences. Never compare yourself to others and learn to look inside yourself rather than look for validation from food or others. I don't get frustrated that I can't binge the way I used to. I feel 10000 times better now and the need to binge has drastically reduced. This journey is a difficult one but it's definitely worthwhile. I wish you all the patience and perseverance to push on through.
