Speaking of Christian black metal, there a ton of good ones. Antestor, Slecthvalk, Extol, Lengsel, and Crimson Moonlight to name a few. Another couple classic Christian metal bands who I consider to be the two most pivotal Christian extreme metal bands are Mortification and Living Sacrifice. Definitely give them a listen too.
Another fun bit Hellhammer the drummer for Mayhem and many many black metal projects actually did the drums on several of the songs on antestor and he is literally who pioneered Black Metal Drumming so it's funny when people say Christian black metal isn't actually black metal can sit and spin lol 😂 also Another fun Christian Black Metal band is Pantokrator
I have always liked Haste the Day's music as a Christian, but got confused at their breakup when I read that they broke up because guitarist Jason left when he announced he was "No longer Christian", because the way I see it, is that you were never really a Christian in the first place if you decided you are just "No longer Christian", but I learned that he was actually asked by the band to step down and leave for what he said. So I'm super happy for Haste the Day for doing the right thing and only keeping true people of God in their lineup.
You can be a full on Christian and backslide which turning away. Once saved always saved or a person no longer being a Christian must have never been really saved is false doctrine. The devil's whole goal in the life of the unsaved is to keep them from ever coming to Christ while his entire goal for the believer is to sift us as wheat and get us to deny and turn away from Christ. John 6:66 And do a bible study on the topics "backslide", "backsliding", "fall away", "fell away", "drawn away and enticed", "become a cast away", "if you still be in the faith", and "the parable of the sower" [and understand that example is a type of believer; even the ones who were not successful like the final example]. We can be all Christians as fall victim to the whiles of the devil and fall away.
Thanks for these videos. Since becoming a Christian, music has been my biggest struggle. Finding good Christian bands that are heavy has been challenging. To add to the list, For Today, though defunct, were a huge influence in my conversion and Memphis May Fire are great too.
See? Some people (rather very few) comment on my channel and others' about Christian messages shouldn't be on heavy metal music, but I'm like, this music is keeping a lot of people centered in Christ! I agree that beautiful sacred music is "better" or more appropriate, at least in worship/liturgy, but we need to have Christ everywhere! Even metal.
Hey Josiah God bless you bro. I just wanted to say I found this video and your previous video on this topic encouraging and edifying. I create music for the glory of Jesus Christ. Specifically centered around ambient posthardcore and other metal sub genres. I don’t mean to plug myself in here like that, but I agree 100% about finding bands that actually share gospel and who’s lyrics are biblically/theologically sound. I say that because in creating music for God’s glory I want to create the music I want to hear, music that professes the name of Christ without ambiguity. Solid video brother. War of Ages is hands down my all time favorite. So much passion & uplifting lyrics to encourage my walk with Christ. Another favorite of mine is Your Memorial though they are no longer together. Not sure if your only sticking to currently active bands or not. One of my favorite Christian metal bands is mortification one of the heaviest Christian metal bands. They kind of vary from brutal death metal and thrash. Pretty good.

Sleeping Giant and Holy Name have some of the same members and are basically "Worship-core". Look for Sleeping Giants song Tithemi and Holy Name's song Creed. These two songs are good examples of songs that if you take the metal out, could be worship songs on a Sunday morning.
Killswitch Engage's lyrics often seem to point directly at God. Though in their case I don't think it's intentional. In fact I think they've even criticised christianity but don't quote me on that. Songs like 'this is absolution' and 'reject yourself' seem to use a lot of Christian terminology and definitely mirror the message of the gospel. I always find it frustrating when an individual or group is so close to the Christian message but won't acknowledge what it actually is.

Great list! You need to check out Pantekrator. More of a black metal missionary group than just a band. Their love for Christ is infectious! Check out their version of "Awesome God". Every song they play glorifies God in every way possible. Either through scripture or life experiences.
Some bands you should know are Antestor, Crimson Moonlight, Slechtvalk, Drottnar and Horde. They are all Black metal. Some great Death Metal bands are Sacrificium, Mortification, Inevitable End and Extol. Some awesome Doom Metal bands are Morphia, My Silent Wake, Dalit, Sawol and ofcourse Paramaecium. And some other bands you should know are Tourniquet, Stryper, Blood Good, Deuteronomium and its not metal but really really great, Saviour Machine!

I just recently started putting out Christian rock and metal music. I'm probably no where near as good as these guys on the list but still check out my songs if you get the chance. "Vengeance" is about how God's patience toward sin will not last forever, and "Sandcastle" is on Jesus's parable of the man who built his house on the sand instead of the rock.
There’s so many good bands out there like my favorite Undefeated, Protest, Chaotic Resemblance, Divine Martyr, Relent, Vials of Wrath you could make at least another 10 videos and still not get them all 😂

Hey Josiah, how are you doing? i found some christian metal bands and i wanted to share them with you. Fit For a King is a heavy metal band i think, i'm not 100% sure that this band is christian thoguh, because they have some songs that are quite doubty, like Dead Memory, i don't know if they are showing a man who is struggling or they are talking about themselves, but then they make a song like God of Fire and you say "ok this is obviously christian". next is In the MIdst of Lions, i think they don't make more music, but the 3 albums that they made, are awesome. same happens with these bands: With Blood Comes Cleansing, I Built The Cross, A Thousand Times Repent, This Divided World, Flesh War and A Prophets Exlie, the made some albums some years ago and then they dissapeared, but those albums are pure fire. then, to finish, is Unto The Beast and Becoming The Archetype, i happened the same with these two, but they started making music again on 2022 and 2021. they are in total 9 bands, i'm sorry for the extra-large comment haha (pd: all these bands excepting Fit For a KIng and In The Midst of Lions, are deathcore bands, similar to Impending Doom) btw, i love your videos, they helped me finding my music genre, and most important, thanks to you i came back to the Lord's perfect love, thanks for everithing and God bless you bro! edit: i forgot to mention these bands: Abated Mass of Flesh and Admonished lol

Flames Of Fire's "Our Blessed Hope" is a must-have album for Christian metal fans! Their music glorifies and praises our Lord Jesus Christ like no other. Highly recommended for those who love powerful and meaningful metal music with a Christian message.
oh, sleeper is a great one for one of these lists. they are super controversial but once you really dig deeper, you can easily tell that they are truly christian.
My personal favorite Christian bands are The Chariot, Harp & Lyre, Showbread, and Silent Planet they're all so creative with their respective music and their lyrical content really displays the Gospel at work
I know I'm being picky but is there a Christian band that's not "core"? Not rock like pillar and skillet, something heavy but with mostly clean vocals.
All your picks for "heavy metal" seem to revolve around the bleh, the growling. There are many styles in heavy metal, which I was hoping to hear a few. My personal picks would be hard rock style. (Even Jon Bon Jovi was considered "heavy metal" back in the day). Gimme some Folk Metal (like D'artagnan) & some Power Metal (like Dan Vasc, Sabaton, GloryHammer, DragonForce. Etc). Your lists are stuck in the bleh modes.
Check out celldweller/circle of dust. Not every song celldweller has is exactly Christian themed , but circle of dust is. Celldweller/circle of Dust is the same guy that makes the music. The theme of the music is how our modern technology sort of makes a disconnect from god.
