The Aztec whistle is probably the most terrifying, simply because the Aztec had so much experience in human torture and sacrifice that you can bet your house on the fact the whistles closely resembled those sounds people made.

"Brrrt" isn't creepy. The sound of the A-10's GAU/8 Avenger is one of the biggest morale boosters for troops on the ground. It might be creepy for the enemy. But everyone fighting alongside the A-10 has a boner and can change into a new pair of underwear when they hear that thing firing. That's what you call a "Wargasm"

If an enemy hears the A-10 gun, they haven’t been spotted as a target yet. The cleanup after that jet rips through an enemy unit is probably the worst detail I’ve ever seen. You might find an intact finger or toe, but the rest is just red mud.

Trinh Thi Ngo or "Hanoi Hannah" as she was often still famously called after Vietnam did a bunch of interviews in the early 2000's clear up to the time of her death in 2016 & she said she actually had nothing against the US or the South Vietnamese. Instead she was a powerless woman at the hands of the NVC for her naturally high pitched but calm voice paired with her knowledge of the English language. I know in 2008 my 2 Uncles along with the surviving members of their Army SOF Green Beret units went back to Vietnam for the first time since they left it for the last time in 1971 after being there on & off for 5yrs. They actually managed to find "Hanoi Hannah" in Ho Chi Minh City after asking about her & found that she was actually a Radio Station manager at that time & so they figured they would try to see or speak to her & tell her just how "unsettling & creepy" her voice was when the NVC would sometimes crack the US forces airwaves & she would be broadcasted right to every US radio operator's speakers. They say that they didn't expect her to even wanna look at them after what all went down in Vietnam but to their surprise they said she was a very nice, very kind, highly intelligent, & be it a lot older woman than she was in the late 60's early 70's but she invited them into her station building & since she has still been speaking English since the Vietnam war they were able to actually communicate & said they all sat in the meeting room at her station drinking tea & eating some "amazing food" as they called it & held a conversation with Trinh for over 3 hours just discussing times passed & also about Vietnam from each sides perspective. Since she was very curious about the famous "sky soldiers" or "silent death from above" as the NVC called them BC they came floating down from above so she was curios since the NVC didn't have airborne infantry so they told her what it was like from their point of view & said that she asked "weren't you scared of getting shot when you you were coming down?" since the parachute basically held them at a fairly slow pace until landing & they said "yes mam very much but you must remember we all knew what we signed up for when we went into the Army & ultimately the Green Berets." They all had voluntarily enlisted before Vietnam got as bad as it did so they chose the Army & then went Army SOF & Green Beret training. Trinh also told them the war from her side & had some "insane but very educational at least of the history side in showing just how raw combat was in Vietnam!"

The only one that gave me chills was the Aztec Death Whistle.

My uncle was in the Vietnam war, and he has severe PTSD from it. He could only tell my dad one horrific story that he encountered near a village, but the rest, he would always say “We don’t talk about that one.” I always feel bad for him, and can’t imagine what he had to go through

I think the Aztec Death Whistle is a good cheep addition our troops could use in close combat. Play recordings to throw off the enemy to our troops location, or if our troops get into a bind....have them (our troops)start blowing on them when the enemy gets close. Might scare the enemy off.....or even scare the enemy enough to mess up their plans and give us the upper hand we need! I could see that sound making the superstitious enemy crap their pants if used right.
