Nah. The double Bladed lightsaber is basically a spear. You’d hold it as you would a battle spear or a staff. The weapon is made for brutes. The single saber or one in each hand requires thought and precision with attacks. The double blade? Just pure aggression. Weaker Jedi/Sith are drawn to it. Maul, who has minimalist training looks pro because of it, Exar Kun was so good with it because his was not a double bladed saber, but a heavily modified originary saber. Darth Zannah wasn’t much of a duelist, her strengths lied in deception and the force. The double blade comes off as a dangerous and unpredictable weapon to most opponents, causing them to hesitate when Zannah needs to build up or break away from the fight.

To be honest he did said "Incompetent Sith". Like probably best Sith Lord ever Darth Traya, did eradicate own Order leading to creation of true Sith'ari (who happen was a exiled Jedi). But that was her plan all the time. From perspective of Sith Darth Gravid was mostly just a fool.

Had some of these Sith Lords, especially Dooku, Gravid, and Kaan existed during Vitiate's Sith Empire, they may have thrived. Middle managers like, arguably, Lana Beniko, were in some ways even more important than over-ambitious ego-centered Sith like Darth Baras. Skere Kaan isn't that dissimilar in personality to Empress Acina (middling powder Sith Lord who was better at politics than fighting and gained a ton of power as a result). The Sith were strongest (as a culture) when they had an overwhelmingly strong central figure like Vitiate in control so that ambition of individual Sith was kept in check. Had Vitiate not played games with his empires, the Sith Empire may have thrived for longer than it did. Just look at how well he did with the Eternal Empire following a melded method not unlike Gravid. Unfortunately, Vitiate seems to have been just using his Sith Empire as a big life battery for whenever he needed to extend his immortality. Given all this, maybe he might even be considered incompetent himself. Had he used the Eternal Fleet to buttress the Sith Empire instead of playing the Sith against the Republic to absorb life force (or some other nonsense), he might have actually been able to wipe out the Jedi and have absolute rule over the Galaxy.

It's a technical term for that in English, too. I dunno, it's not what I usually think of as the usual Sith image of sinister menace, but pregnancy hormones _can_ certainly make women crazy. Maybe the writer/writer's wife was expecting?

But he wasn’t trained as a sith or a sith apprentice, maul was trained as an assassin which means he was only trained in the dark side with combat in mind, no sith alchemy or mind tricks or force clouding, no all his skills were tailored to help the sith achieve wet work without themselves having to do it

Savage definitely counts as a Sith, being the apprentice of Darth Maul makes it official, being less skilled than other Sith of the era doesn't take that away from him.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Baras the Wide? I thought not. It's not a story the Inquisitors would tell you. It's a Warrior legend. Darth Baras was a dark lord of the Sith so overweight and so wide, he could use the food to influence the calories and create fat. He had such knowledge of the hunger, he could even keep the food he consumed from digesting. The fat side of the Force is a pathway to many belt sizes some consider to be... Unhealthy. He became so overweight, the only thing he was afraid of was losing that weight, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, his apprentice was one sassy piece of shit, and his apprentice murdered him in the Dark Council chamber. Ironic, he could save others from heart failure, but not himself.

He’s more of a Sith than Maul ever was, Maul was simply an assassin, Dooku orchestrated a Separatist Movement

He does have a point though, sith are by their very nature incredibly back stabing shit stains. For every good sith like Darth Marr there were 10 rats. The sith empire spent more time fighting among themselves than their enemy. So it makes sense in that way.

But it enabled them to grow even stronger without those pesky Jedi breathing down their necks, and it eventually culminated in Order 66.

@@cheekibreeki904 I wouldn't say it made them stronger. Heck, what it really does is weaken them, plus put them at risk of being wiped out. Think about it... how many Sith apprentices kill their master, or at least attempt to? All it takes is one worst case result, with both dead, and it is all over. A single hyperspace accident... wiped out. A bad encounter with some wildlife, a natural disaster, or an opposing force user... wiped out. Try and recruit a Jedi as your apprentice, pick the wrong one, and wiped out. For that matter, it means you want to keep an upper hand over your apprentice, so you either want one that isn't as strong as you, or you want to hold back teaching stuff so that there is a weakness you can exploit. Every time one bit of knowledge isn't passed down, for whatever reason, that's a bit of knowledge lost, unless the apprentice happens to find it on a holocron. The whole system puts everything at risk and weakens the Sith. So weak, that all they can really do is hide. Just look at what happens in the end, when they do make themselves known... And, for that matter, for all the Rule of Two stuff, well, look at how well that actually plays out. Sidious has Dooku, but Dooku has Ventress. Vader has an off the books apprentice. Just makes sense, right? If you want to overthrow your master, well, making it a two on one fight is just smart. Then there are the Inquisitors... only two, except there's these guys as well. In the end, Palpatine goes for a Jedi, a strong apprentice. But when he tries to replace that apprentice with a new one, that one being the newest Jedi, his choice doesn't want to turn. As a result, his current apprentice picks that moment to betray him, killing the master, and becoming mortally wounded as a result, dying shortly thereafter. Sith order wiped out. The Rule of Two at work. Bane was an idiot. Gravid's way of thinking was far better. Stop the betrayals, reduce the hatred, work together, and become far stronger.

I think he was aiming for the Grey Jedi. A Force wielder who can use both the light and darkside of the Force

its weird that Grevious in the comics was strong enough to take on both Ventress and Durge at the same time, when you look at Ep 3 Obi Wan was beating Grevious with relative ease before he starts running away. both Ventress and Durge have proven themselves a match for Obiwan several times and to be frank I dont see why Ventress didnt just hide and snap Grevious's neck with the force, Legends Ventress wasn't exactly averse to stealth kills as Anakin and that Clone battalion he had can attest to.

@@anthonyrodriguez8788 When Grievous fought Ventress and Durge he had made sure to enrage and unnerve them, so they fought him head on where Grievous had the advantage of brute strength, plus knowing most if not all of their tricks. As a result Durge got beaten up until he fainted and Ventress didn't even THINK of using her Force powers, the latter being precisely why Grievous is such an effective Jedi killer. Obi-Wan, on the other hand, is literally the worst possible opponent for Grievous: he's too cool-headed to be unnerved or scared, and mastered Form III, whose absolute defense completely counters Grievous' overwhelming strength and speed approach. Thus in their final duel Grievious ended up throwing his hands on Obi-Wan's blades twice and ran. Interestingly, it seems Grievious had seen it coming, given how many times he tried to just kill Obi-Wan while he was still learning... Proving once again how dangerous Grievous actually is, since he knew better than letting a potential threat becoming an actual one.

Savage is a Sith, being apprentice to Maul makes him an official Sith Lord. I agree that Alans logic is flawed regarding Savage however I would also argue that he is still incompetent, Savage is just brainless muscle content to just recieve orders never really contributing in any meaningful way to any given plan beyond his huge muscles and force powers. the Savage style of Sith died with the Sith Empires for a very good reason.

First of all, this would make a great video. I guess you could kind of classify the Mandalorian Skull Squadron during the third battle of Mygeeto to be a PMC since they were not part of the Grand Army of the Republic, but were more like volunteers.

and savage wasn't even a sith for more then a year or so when he died. yet he still went up agents other sith like Dooku, ventress, and finally palpatine. yet still was able to hold ground and not die instantly like most others would have.
