@@vexvesper u are missing the point and u did not listen to Yammie It has nothing to do with motorcycle noise, it is the noise of the wind that hurts your ears 😉
The Thinking Man's Templar girls don’t care about cars unless they’re doing it for the money say like a ferrari cause they’re expensive and they want your money which isn’t gonna get you a good relationship long term
For every rider, sliders should be the first one on your list on what to add after buying a motorcycle. Not only does it save you alot of money during a slide, it also helps you keep your feet intact when you drop your bike.
6. Plan ahead or check your route before traveling, there could be constructions going on which may cause delays or add you in a situation you're not comfortable with, case in mind landslides, muddy roads, slipper slopes etc. 7. First AID kit, especially if you're touring keep it with you. 8. Tire flat kit, they're cheap but will get you out of trouble, also having a tire pressure gauge handy and a hand pump for trips IS not a bad idea. 9. Keep your bike maintained and check the important items like drive chain, brakes, fuel, oil etc before riding out.
Video Information I ride a GSXR 1000 with off-road tires , and Super Sonic Turbo boosters with no helmet , therefore none of that s*** above you're talking about matters either Blaze right through it, bunny hop over it or rev my motor until it's out of the way
6. Nobody is going to literally drive their entire route just to see if anything happened to the road then go all the way back home and get their motorcycle. I guess you can gps the route but even then on roads your familiar with nobody will do that. Not a big deal really 7. That can be pretty handy so I agree there but it isnt mandatory. 8. Only for really long trips to different cities I can see that being a thing. 9. Yeah
As a third generation biker I was taught not to rely on people seeing me but to rely on the fact that they can’t see me and my years at high speeds have taught me that being seen only means more speeding tickets
I wish there was like a +15 mph speed exception for motorcycles. I don't like it when bikes are near me, I have to extra focus to see them. I'd rather them come up from nowhere then dissappear in the distance again. Safer for everyone I thinks.
Excellent suggestions! I went a step further on front LED's by installing lamps that do a three flash sequence. Only pulled over once and I was amused as the LEO searched local and state regs for saying flashing white lights are illegal. We had a pleasant chat and went on our way.
I started A2 license classes 2 weeks ago cause you inspired me Papa since I watched a video of yours back in November . I am a car guy, but now it's bike time ! Love from Portugal
I love how he is just shamelessly using other peoples youtube content in his videos. Got the balls to even use big channels like fortnine and revzilla. Class act
Just started watching your vids in the last few weeks. You are a nut job, and I say that in the nicest way! I am definitely old enough to be your dad but have just finished a long hiatus of 39 years and decided, screw it, I'm going to ride again, LOL. I know you love the new bikes but the reason I am getting back into it is I found the bike I wanted way back in 1980 with 13,000 miles on so decided it was an omen. I have nearly finished it and am waiting for all the legal stuff to be done. Glad I found you, Keep up the good work. :)
@@allenlipscomb9872 How about nothing. People use lol or emojis even if they aren't in the mood that is used in said format these days. It is difficult to understand emotion through text, never mind sarcasm.
I just crashed my bike last night.sliders saved the shit out of it.was in almost perfect condition and rode it home Edit: get full height boots to.riding shoes will not stop you from twisting your ankle bad
I'm going to get a Honda CMX 500 I'm going to mod it to a scrambler I'm a short rider standing at 5ft 5in tall and adventure bikes are to tall for me is this a good idea to do this
“And that will do it for today....” (five minutes later) “This is a perfect way to end this video....” (five minutes later) “Fun fact...” it reminds me of when you’re at a concert and they finish the show, and everyone knows they’re going to come back out and do an encore. Bring it on buddy!
I wear a completely reflective Red backpack all the time when I ride, the only problem is that the bulls here follow me all the time. Good thing my bike is fast enough 😜
Ibrahim Mohsin your bike is a fast the only thing you need is supersonic turbobooster sliders then you'll be completely safe you won't even need it f****** helmet and that point but you will need earplugs
Note: Simply replacing different types of bulbs in a car or motorcycle is ILLEGAL without also replacing the enclosure. If your motorcycle came with halogen lights, then you can't just replace them with LED light bulbs even if they fit as the reflector was designed around reflecting halogen produced light along with the enclosure having a lower heat dissipation that isn't designed to accommodate the higher temperatures produced by an LED bulb. LED lights must be in enclosures designed for them.
I had a dent in my frame because of frame slider. Slider was very strong, i thought that would be a good thing. Sliders should be viewed as sacrificial to save rest of your bike and should be pretty weak compared to rest of your bike. It is also recommended to have hearing protection when you drive a convertible. I think you can actually hear more with hearing protection in (speaking to my passenger). I even started wearing them at concerts and is a real +++, I high recommend it. No beep in your ear afterwards and you can have a conversation without shouting in someones ear. It is incredible how much more you hear.
I love having a m'bike, can't wait for the spring. Wish you all the best and hope you get sorted out with a m'bike, you won't regret it. Don't even need a big cc bike as some of the small bikes can be a hoot. If you start small you'll live longer, don't rush into getting a powerful bike too soon.
Matija B make sure you go to the Suzuki dealer and buy a GSXR 1000 for your first bike you'll be amazed at the sound of the stereo system also may not know this but they can also be used as dirt bikes, snowmobiles, snowmobiles as jet skis. Just Google it the Crazy Russian stunt bastards
The hearing protection one is no joke. I'm a career truck driver. My truck is MUCH quieter than any bike out there that's not battery powered, but my personal experience, as well as studies that have recently been published, has proven that PROLONGED EXPOSURE is WAAAY more dangerous than temporary, albeit much louder noises. Recent studies have shown that 97% of truck drivers lose 6% to 12% of their hearing, over the course of 5 years, and as much as 26% over ten. My ophthalmologist has put me at a 22% loss in my Right, and a 15% loss in my Left, after 16 years of driving. At this rate I'll need hearing aids before I hit 40. ...Food for thought.
Is it me or does it seem like LEDs have a higher propensity to break from sustained vibrations….? Like they would last longer than normal bulbs if their cheap internal connections didn’t break…. Any suggestions of a quality LED brand to go with?
Something else worth mentioning; especially for new riders, get a loud horn. Ive said it before but if you're a 'euro bro' then chances are you're starting on a 125, not all of them can have a loud exhaust installed, or they can just with great difficulty. Denalli soundbomb is my choice, I have it on my 125 and frankly I will be getting it future bikes. Assume the worst of other drivers. If you're on a roundabout and see someone coming up too quick, give a honk, not to piss them off but more to say "Hey im here be careful".
I had someone almost try to pass me on a roundabout. I didn’t think that was a common problem. I was in the far left (hugging the corner) of the single lane and seen them coming up almost next to me. Next time I’m getting those vibes in that situation I’ll take your tip! And try to stay near the middle of the lane. 😅
That "then all of the sudden anything you attempt to do to your motorcycle causes you consternation and annoyance" part describes me so good.😂😂 couldn't have said it any better 👏papa noob... Always relatable AF👏😅
For the A2 video, you're basically looking at anything that tops out at around 47bhp (35kW) .... As a student looking to buy an A2 bike, Royal Enfield's new 650 Twins look promising (I'm obviously leaning towards the café racer), but there are many others besides. Tons of small capacity sportbikes, even a few classics... BMWs G650 GS and R65 just about make the cut. Probably not much help, but just thought I'd inject my two cents for what it's worth.
Higher visibility from LEDs can be good, but keep in mind that bright lights can hamper other drivers' vision when they need to look at you. You can't be more visible if cars are averting their gaze from you.
Jos tarkoitat Hondan ja muiden monisylinterisiä 50cc kilpavehkeitä, ne on sairaan upeita. Mopot? Niillä on huono maine, koska niiden kuskit on idiootteja.
Great vid, Yam! Thanks for the content, BUT just because Cardo "invented" the communication between motorcycle riders doesn't mean they're the best. Motorola, for example, invented the cell phone; when was the last time you heard of people rushing out to get one?
While you‘re talking about frame sliders: If you‘re planning on getting some for the 07, check out the ones by SW Motech. They‘re designed in a way that they are less likely to break or cause highsiding. And they look less ugly than most alternatives, I have them in my MT07 and actually like the looks.
Hi, I am walrus, and i'd like to bring to your kind notice, we have officially declared South pole as "yammie land". Open to all bikers; do bring slow tires. Long live yammie sama
I have an odd novice gear question: How [potentially] important is it to wear motorcycle boots for the "style" of bike you are on? Does it actually matter if someone on a touring bike gets cruiser boots, versus someone on a sport bike getting touring boots for regular daily riding like the commute to work? Besides aesthetics, what is the difference?
Interesting I mention hearing protection. This is something I just started doing before whatching this video. It helps and has made riding much more enjoyable. I notice that I can hear everything just as well or even better than before.
First I have to admit, I'm an experienced rider, older than you and don't have many questions regarding motorcycles. I get a laugh out of some facts regarding specific models that you get wrong. That said, love your content. Why? You're self aware. You'll qualify the things you're unsure of by letting your audience know you're unsure. That means you're learning all the time and ,in turn, so is your audience. You're also an entertaining content creator in general. I primarily enjoy your, "It came from Craigslist" vids. Those are entertaining for new and experienced riders alike. Less of the green screen is probably a good thing. That's not a dig against you, it's actually a compliment. I enjoy the clips you use and how you edit them to make a complete vid. They're entertaining. Just remember that even though your audience is primarily "new" riders, you do have some experienced riders out here watching you who just enjoy some good motorcycle related vids. Maybe give us a tip of the hat every now and again.
No offense or anything but just because cardo created the idea of communication devices doesn’t mean it’s the best. Ford created the first car, creating the idea entirely and they are still shit to this day. I’ve never owned a cardo so I can’t say wether they are bad or not but you know, just because it made it first doesn’t mean it’s the best
Tks... just subscribed 👌🏻.. just bought a 2013 kawasaki ninja 650r, would you advise me on safety Accesories like the sliders, com devise, led Lights ant anything you may think of to upgrade it... like moder rear view mirrors and engine led color lights.. 😅😅, my apologies in advance for "The list"..., God bless You. Happy Holidays 🙏🏻
Yo! I've got an A2 licence (UK) and done EXTENSIVE research into it, pretty much takes most fun or exciting bikes away and that's why the dreaded ninja 400 exists... A few slipped through and I've got an Aprilia shiver, no turbo busa just yet 😓 anything you need to know, hit me up!
Thank God for frame sliders. I was in a pretty bad accident last week, broke my ankle and hand in a couple spots but, the frame sliders did their job. They saved my plastics almost 100 percent. Besides a broken windshield and broken shifter theres a couple scratches on the left side of the bike. All my bikes have them and always will.
Hey clammy yam daddy. If you are doing A2 euro bikes. Do you mind doing the LAMS approved bikes from over here (New Zealand) and Australia? I would love you long time and open a church of Rossi under the yammy lube name.
I think something really important to know about LED turn signals is STAY AWAY FROM THE CHEAP EBAY STUFF. They are so dim that you can barely see them even on a very cloudy day.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO, I DIG THEM, YOU SHOULD HAVE GROWN UP WITH ME IN THE ATE 70’S, 80’S RACING RD’S 400 DAYTONA SPECIALS UP, AND DOWN HOLLYWOOD BLVD, AND LEGENDARY MUHOLLAND DR, BUT THEN I HAD KIDS, AND GAVE UP RIDDING, PLAYING MY GUITAR LIKE MF RIOT, BUT NOW MY KIDS ARE ON THEIR OWN, AND KICKING ASS IM MIGHT ADD, MY SON JUST BOUGHT A HARLEY, AND HE’S ABOUT TO FINISH UP HIS CAREER IN THE AIRFORCE NEXT YEAR, SO I TOLD HIM IM FINALLY GOING TO SAVE UP FOR A MOTOR CYCLE SO I CAN GO RIDDING WITH HIM, AND MY DAUGHTER WHO HAS A NINJA, BY THE TIME HE’S HOME, BUT HE’S LOOKING FORWARD TO ME GETTING A HD LIKE HIM, BUT AFTER DOING MY RESEARCH, AND RIDDING RD’S IN THE PAST I CAN’T SEE MY SELF ON A HARLEY, AND SO FAR IM LIKING THE KAWASAKI Z 900 RD, BUT IM CURRENTLY VERY CURIOUS AS TO WHAT THE NEW 2021 MIGHT CHANGE, LIKE MAYBE A NEW PIANT SCHEME, OR SOME OTHER EASTETIC LIKE MAYBE GOLD, OR BLUE ANODIZED FORKS THAT WOULD BE A COOL ADDITION, IVE ALWAYS LIKED ANODIZED PIECES. WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD BE A BTTER BIKE FOR ME TO GET BACK ON, IM 57 NOW 6,2 210 LB ? THANK AGAIN.
I'm a big fan of engine cages (SW-Motech on my 919, Canyon Cage on my FJR1300) over frame sliders, but cages aren't really as practical, or even available for a lot of sport bikes. My SW-Motech did an admirable job along with soft bags protecting my 919 in an ~20mph slide on gravel.
LED headlights are the Bain of my driving existence. They are TOO bright. I flash my lights thinking that this asshole won't turn his high beams down, then he turns his high beams on and I can't see anything at all, including where the road is going, especially on country Farm-to-Market and black tops
Sliders completely saved my 2009 R6 I just had got it in 2010 with 2k miles on it flawless bike mint and my sister takes it for a Cruze and sure enough as she is turning onto our street some dick head come over the rail road tracks around the curve on her so fast she had to whiskey throttle it to get out of the way and she had got to much speed to finish turning in and hit the ground. I looked at my wife and said well that’s that it’s destroyed and I walked down the street (100 yards) and made sure Sis was ok she was pride hurt more then anything her words. But sure enough the bike was still perfect exept the slider it was chewed up but I was soooo happy 😃 I was like yes now I can get the really nice ones I wanted anyways 👍🏽. Two days later I road to the Yamaha dealer and ordered my new ones. Bikes back in my day just got killed if they took a 15mph spill. Plastic be all hanging off and tank all scratched up. Seen it for years. The cages are even better you can abuse them a little with sliders and a full cage not that I would want to.
Papa Yammie, I tried your suggestion and I plugged both of my holes. Not as much fun and when my ex boyfriend helped me with one, but it'll have to do for now. On the plus side, there is no danger that I could had gotten pregnant, so do 't worry, you won't be Grandpa Yammie any time soon. At least not because of me. Thank you for the suggestion as I was not aware I needed by holes plugged as bad as I did. Boy I feel less tense now and happier. What would us children do without you?
BEWARE. If you drop your bike with a frame slider and it gets cought even in a small road bump, the bike will flip and it will probably brake your frame as well. While they work great on the track, on the road they can bring hell to your bike...
A2 bikes are literally all bikes below 35kw, you can also have any bike below 70kw reduced to 35kw by a licenced company (400 bucks ish) or get a busa from the factory and have it restricted there and open it yourself
I'm a fan follow your work I would love to win a motorcycle but I live in Brazil you got to fix that because you're in the world wide media and you're only rewarding US citizens. Come on buddy don't forget it's even harder for us here to get a motorcycle then you guys there. Thank you anyway your work rocks !!!
I shot guns my whole life, worked construction projects since I was a kid and ran a DJ business for 8 years. The tinitus is no joke. It never stops. There are some great ear plugs at Guitar Center that are designed for DJs and musicians that let sound pass but block harmful frequencies.
You WILL get permanent buzzing in your ears in only one road trip... the trick is to watch the one minute video of some guy from south america, properly rolling up without creases his ear plugs, and then reaching over top his head, pulling up ear and fully inserting the rolled plug, then holding it pressed in for 10 seconds to let it stay in place. Wish I'd picked up on that sooner.
You appearing in the videos wasn't bad but mostly pointless. I would prefer if you kept this simpler format unless you want to show your audience something specific. Like maybe give a description with body language or such. Also the random text was hella annoying no offense.
Like the A2 bike comment, you can also check out some bikes from the Indian market, they consider the A2 bikes as an epitome of great bikes here in India. Probably because of traffic, inexpensive bikes and such huge population.
Is such a pity that I don't live in the states, so I would be able to enter sweet Papa Yam's Hentai Hornet contest. Who wouldn't want to ride a bike touched Clammy Pube's gracious but sweaty hands. Anyway good luck to all you Yanks entering the contest. #praisethelordrossi
Man, I can't believe the ad. for pubic grooming! I hate Rossi! He must be in league with the dark side, to have caused so much grief to others and still not had karma turn him(?) into a quad'. I do love all things Italian though.
Problems with Led. In the EU and Germany ists not road legal to swap the halogen bulb with LED bulbs. You need a full new headlight which was made for led....
crazzy job you doing here :) P.S. if you stumble across this comment please let me know if i can change bulbs from a projector lamps to leds? for better illuminations :P
Get musicians earplugs. You will still be able to hear things around you but it reduces it by 10 DB. Thunder plugs or Eggs are Good ones from my experience.
Why people insist on wearing all black gear, on a all black bike, I just don't know. And I wish manufacturers would offer more color in their bikes and gear
POINT- get a frame slider if you're not planning to be a Low racer , No point training those stance if you're normal being, Cool for pedestrian but useless (doesnt need that low to turn a bike) useful for racer on a track.
