Excellent wee video. Superbly informative, great and well used footage and most of all... inspiring! It must say something about my Munro journey that I have climbed two of those you listed in my thirteen 😂 Again, an excellent vlog and now Schiehallion is in the sights. Keep up the great work!

Thank you! Glad you found it inspiring, hoping it can give people a wee idea of where to start, although there are a few others that could possibly have made it in. Schiehallion will probably be a good one to try with the weather becoming less friendly.

Thank you for your fantastic guides. I'm not the fittest, I take too long going up but have just completed Ben Chonzie there and back in 4 hours.

Thank you Tracey! The great thing about hiking is you can take as long as you want to get to the top and back down again. When the weather is good then taking your time is well worth it.

Thank you for that list, and the Munroes are noted for my next trip. Apart from Ben Nevis, my first Munroe was A'Mhaighdean. Stunning climb.

Nothing beats having the mountain to yourself. When I hiked Beinn Chabhair for the second time I never saw another person between leaving the car park and returning to it, was magical.

The easiest Munro in my opinion is The Cairnwell I think that even climbing on Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh is more difficult:))
@HighlandHikers
@HighlandHikers 2 года назад
I remember going over Arthur’s Sear taking part in Survival of the Fittest a few years ago. It certainly didn’t feel easy that day! 😂 The Cairnwell is definitely going to be up there amongst the easiest Munros especially if you take the chair lift to the top!

Somewhere like Callander, Strathyre, Lochearnhead or Killin would probably be good.

Thanks for watching Scott. I suppose everyone is different and some people may not fancy the amount of ascent involved in tackling Ben Nevis without building up to it first. If they feel up to it then I’m sure plenty could manage it if they are fit enough.

I am a writer/poet with a blog, and I have hiked all over the Smokies and up the Appalachian Trail; but I am befuddled by this word I have never heard. I know the surname that is similarly spelled; but what in the world is a Munro? Did I suddenly enter another realm?
@HighlandHikers
@HighlandHikers 4 месяца назад
They are a collection of mountains in Scotland that are over 3000ft or 914.4m tall. They were once part of the Appalachian Mountains when Scotland and North America were once part of the same land mass.

£3 parking all day ?? You Scots make that sound like £3,000 lol! 🙂
@HighlandHikers
@HighlandHikers Год назад
Parking charges in Scotland, particular in more remote areas like this, are fairly new so as hill walkers we’re not really used to it. Sadly it seems to be the way things are going.
