First on the list is the ultimate backpack for your DJI Mavic 3 Pro. Designed to keep your drone safe and secure while on the go, this backpack offers ample storage for your drone, remote controller, spare batteries, and other essential accessories. With its durable construction and ergonomic design, you can confidently carry your gear and explore breathtaking locations without any worries.
Next up, we have control sticks that will revolutionize the way you fly your DJI Mavic 3 Pro. These ergonomic control sticks provide enhanced precision and control, allowing you to maneuver your drone effortlessly and capture smooth cinematic shots with ease. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pilot, these control sticks are a game-changer.
To elevate the visual quality of your drone footage, we recommend the Freewell ND Filters. These high-quality neutral density filters reduce glare, control exposure, and add cinematic effects to your aerial shots. With a range of filters to choose from, you can capture stunning footage in various lighting conditions and unleash your creativity like never before.
Safety is paramount when flying a drone, especially in low light conditions. That's where strobe lights come in. These compact and lightweight lights attach to your DJI Mavic 3 Pro, making it easily visible from a distance. Not only do they comply with aviation regulations, but they also ensure your drone is visible to other pilots and help prevent collisions, providing peace of mind during your flights.
Last but not least, we have a battery charger that will keep you flying for longer. With multiple battery slots and fast charging capabilities, this charger ensures that you have enough power to capture every breathtaking moment. Say goodbye to downtime and maximize your flight time with this essential accessory.

In this video I accidentally said nautical miles instead of statue miles. Strobes must be visible from 3 statute miles, also I need to not work around boats so much before recording videos like these or next thing you know I'll be talking about how many fathoms and leagues the strobe needs to be visible from...

I know a good strap for the DJI RC or RC Pro is a great add on as well. Avoiding slippage out of the hands when when very hot 🥵 or very cold 🥶. I have a protector for the DJI RC that protects the controller front and sticks from damage and also can be a shade from the sun 🌞 to help you see the screen better when the sun is at its highest peak. Thank you for the video Jake.

Hey Jake, I was literally going to ask you about those adjudtstable length sticks when you mentioned them in one of the last few videos you put up. I actually put a (very) slightly SHORTER set (couple millimeters, not much) when I first started using it. The extremely low spring resistance was throwing me off, being used to RC-N1 & RM500 Smart Controller. It reduced travel just a tad, but helped me a lot! Went back to stock, I'm going to try these.
@JakeSloan
@JakeSloan Год назад
let me know how you get on with these. I love the longer throw personally
@BlairAir
@BlairAir Год назад
@JakeSloan I can see how the extra length in the stick could provide higher "ratio" of control, which translates to finer control - always desirable! 😉 I'll let you know how they work for me.

Thanks for another good video. It would be nice if Freewell produced a set of filters for the Mavic 3 Pro where the different camera ND’s were better balanced for exposure like they did with the original Mavic 3 as the ones that ship with the fly more combo aren’t great for matching exposure. It would also be good if they had ones in between in density because sometimes going from ND 8 to ND 16 is too big of a jump on the two tele lenses where you can’t change the aperture value and so have to change the shutter speed and then the frame rate unless you want to go to a higher ISO which isn’t always the best quality!!
@JakeSloan

agreed and I have mentioned it to Freewell so hopefully they are working on it

I never realised screen protectors help prevent broken screens. I thought they were more for scratches. Or are they different from standard? Thanks for the info and great video.

They give a layer to break first so hopefully your screen underneath survives

I also use freewell filter for my Mavic 3 Pro. I think they filter are a bit too heavy when compre with DJI one. I found Mavic 3 Pro gimbal will get more jerk stop than DJI filter.
@JakeSloan
@JakeSloan Год назад
Interesting I’ve not had that issue with filters but I have noticed it more with the mavic 3 pro vs the mavic 3 due to the extra gimbal size and weight

Hey Jake, I don't have a drone (yet) but I want to say that you make drone photography seem approachable. I will be saving up for a Mini 3 Pro (or likely a Mini 4 Pro by the time I can afford it) and in the meantime will keep watching your videos. ...also, as a former Yukoner, love the Northern content!

Flying drones is actually super easy now, as companies like DJI -sort of the Apple (or Samsung Ilif that's your style) have made the experience "consumer friendly" -these are no Amazon toy drones with poorly translated instructions and a huge gap in promised abilities and reality (other than flight times that everyone overstates) You will find the experience fun, inviting and after a few "getting to trust the tech" flights, the primary challenge is very similar to traditional photography. Not hard to learn. Reasonable to get decent with. Incredibly difficult to master, lol. As a lifelong "amateur photographer" I was immediately enraptured by the perspective drones provide. 3.5 years and some 44 drones (not a typo) I'm STILL trying to close the gap between knowledgeable and pro, where our good friend Jake keeps inviting us to join him! Don't wait too long, nor wait for "the next great drone" -when you csn afford a Mini 3 Pro/Mini 4 Pro, jump in. The water's fine (analogously speaking) 😮

@@BlairAir thank you for the words of encouragement! The biggest obstacle right now is financial (I'm a person with disabilities on disability assistance)... What's great is having stoked people like you and Jake in this community to keep the dream alive.

@mtcrun absolutely understand. It's an expensive hobby. Keep DJI Refurbished in sight. They are indistinguishable from new and have a decent warranty. I strongly prefer those over straight "used" mostly because batteries are in better condition. Good luck in your quest 👍

ngl, i dont think there will be a 4 of a mavic series cuz if so that would be a lot of new mavic. I think by next year there will be a new series of mavics or even an eve different type of DJI drone.

Hi Jake. I been meaning to ask you about batteries. Can you launch a drone even with a partially charged battery? Say from storage level or higher just to get a quick shot. I assume these batteries don't hold a charge memory.

Hi Jake. I brought the Mavic Pro after watching your videos (and others). Unfortunately, I seem to have gotten a bad drone. The first day the recording worked great. However, on day two the playback of the video was less than stellar. First, the drone would just stop recording and the start a new recording (multiple times) after only 1 or 2 minutes giving me numerous files instead of just one. Second, the playback would freeze after only 1 second of playback, then jump forward 10-15 seconds and freeze again. Third, there was on overlay of flight information on the screen that I could not turn off. The overlay was five lines of information that included Frame number, Latitude and Longitude (among other info). My question is, have you heard of this happening to other people, did I do something to cause this, or am I just the lucky one? Thanks for your time and videos.

is it bad to charge your battery right away? say for example, I used all of my 3 batteries in taking pictures for sunset....then after sunset, I would charge right away all the batteries for blue hour cityscapes... or there should be like hours of interval time before charging again..
@JakeSloan
@JakeSloan 11 месяцев назад
that is fine, the charge process doesn't put enough power into the batteries to produce heat that would damage the batteries. If they are too hot the charger will not charge them until they cool down a bit anyway. I generally wait 10-20 minutes before charging mine just to let them cool down a bit, but I don't know that it really matters
