This made me laugh because my thought was that he's got the vibe of, like a, "What's up guys! Today we're doing the embroidery challenge!" Style of video. The info is good either way.
The net in the box of thread is not to keep the thread in storage. It is designed to go over your thread spool while embroidering/sewing to help it come off of the spool more smoothly. 👍
it actually came with specific directions that it is for storage. they gave a card with the box explaining that its for keeping your thread from coming unraveled 😅😅😅
@@sedan_dad Not having read those instructions I’m going off of my own experience. The thread nets generally come with machines that use thread cones (sergers, embroidery…). Since the thread generally feeds horizontally off of the spool it can sometimes come off (unravel) too quickly. By putting the net over the thread cones they keep the thread more contained so that it comes off of the cone more smoothly and uniformly.
I know it's been 11 months but I just learned thay today because I got an embroidery machine and it was in in a picture then I just sat there feeling RIDICULOUS 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I was like, that makes so much more sense, and it will solve many issues I was having with thread messing up in the machine. I'm self taught so even reading ny other machines manuals I never saw it!!
I loved this so much, thank you for making this video!!! It literally addressed every concern I had for starting embroidering, and how COOL was it we have the same machine *__*
I believe we have the same machine. I have a dumb question - do I shove the back of the shirt or hoodie to bunch it up behind the hoop so the back doesn’t get embroidered as well?
I have tried your trick to rotate and replace a font but it isn’t working for me. Any hints? It only shrunk a little bit and I used the smallest font size. The first set of fonts.
Here’s an issue I’ve been having. My word is too long even in “small” size. Can you type part of a word, rotate it diagonally or resize it then go back into the word and add a letter? Or does that letter have to be a whole new word that has to be resized independently and placed in the correct spot?
This is what I came to the comments for! Can you use bigger hoops on this?? It seems so from watching this video! Please answer as this will be my final factor in making a decision!

Ok how did you attach your hoop without turning you project inside out?
Loved your video. I just bought that box of thread and was trying to figure out how to keep the thread contained. It’s already becoming a mess. Your energy and enthusiasm are contagious. I’m a grandmother. Your F word actually had me laughing. I showed my husband and he came up with all the F words the previous poster listed. All kinds of people enjoy all kinds of crafts. Make it your own. Keep it spicy, sassy or simple. There’s an audience for every style.
Thank you for showing the programming of your design, font, spacing, and what the buttons do. I'm new to the brother embroidery machine, mine is a SE725 the screen looks the same. Please continue to show the programming, so helpful!
I would highly recommend a digitizing software like hatch or something. Really unlocks the potential of the machine. And you don't have to deal with that annoying screen and built in tools.
It has been my understanding that the thread nets are supposed to be used on the thread spool AS you are sewing. They keep the thread from catching on the spool as you are sewing. Fun video. Good to hear about the Brothread. Some have said it shreds easily so was concerned to try it.
It's very handy to have a place for your snipped thread. I use a empty square tissue box. Works great and keeps my area neat. I enjoyed your video ....... keep it going.
Thanks for the video. FYI the thread is polyester, not nylon. There are many brands of stabilizer, not only pellon. And there are many weights as well. BUT great job on the embroidery and your enthusiasm will encourage others to join you in machine embroidering.
Those nets are for your spool when you use slippery thread ... like monofilament etc. It prevents the thread from coming off too fast. IT"S NOT FOR STORAGE!!! DID YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS???
I like that you showed me that white fabric can you tell me where to buy it? Also I like your detail instruction and that you showed doing a really thick material I plan on using my embroidery on vintage 1940s also, do you have a link that you use for your thread 🧵 🪡 you get it for a good LOW price?
Would you have any advice I'm after a cheap starting out machine. I'm after just starting out doing logos and with multiple colours. I'm after spending less than £1000
Use a click lighter and very carefully run the flame over the design to melt down the little connector threads after you cut them(at least cut them close first). Be extremely careful when burning on nylon or poly. Also when cutting backing I make sure to keep a finger from my left hand holding the backing between my embroidery and the scissors to make sure I do not cut the garment.
You recommend cutaway stabilizer, but that leaves some of the stabilizer in the finished product. That's not always a good idea, if you're dealing with something where both sides need to be visible or comfortable against the skin. What do you do in those cases?
I’m so glad I found you!! You explain things so well!! I haven’t even got an embroidery machine yet I’m currently doing my research!! I’m pretty sure I’m going to get the same machine!! Thanks for all the info!!!
Awesome tips & tricks! I think you cover the basics of hooping that others may leave it -great job👍. The only thing I would change for your coming video is selection of word choices (In my opinion). Yeah, folks looking to sew that may be much younger would be awesome to leave out unnecessary choice of words. Otherwise, love to see more videos in this category. Great job👏I subscribed 😎
