Your business journey shows that there is no easy path to wealth or success. Start in a spare bedroom and you end up in a warehouse with multiple machines and staff. Your other videos are a testament to your very hard work, including long days and nights and constant marketing, in addition to raising a family. You're an inspiration.
I love your straightforward approach. I’m not into embroidery yet. I’m thinking about getting into it, but I will be watching more videos and hitting that like button. Thanks for the great videos.💯
I've always wanted to start an embroidery business with a focus on home goods like towels and pillows cases with monograms and simple yet sophisticated designs. Is it hard to learn to use an embroidery machine or is it more about mastering the software? I'm sure it's both but do you think it's something you can teach yourself? BTW I found you because you made a comment on another embroidery RU-vid video from years ago when you were just thinking of starting your business and buying the first embroidery machine!! I decided to click on your name to see if you did it so I'm thrilled to see it happened! And you're kind enough to share. God love you!
I have Embrillance on my 2015 Mac. Every time I try to update my program that lets me see the thumbnails and thread change instructions won’t work with the current OS update. Have you been able to get around that problem?
Worked in an embroidery shop at the beginning. Definitely feast or famine, either crazy busy or slump. Plan for those down times, and market your business!! Also, if you're doing one-offs, CHARGE FOR YOUR SET UP TIME. Find your niche - it may be doctors and dentists, bursing schools, plumbers, etc. but find your bread and butter first.
Hi Jasmine, can you talk about how someone who is starting off can get a small business loan or personal loan to be able to purchase a multi needle machine. I'm not sure where to start.
Just a note to anyone listening….to slow down the speed of this video (so you can take notes 📝), go to the ‘gear’ in the upper right corner of your screen, touch it, then, touch ‘Playback speed’, and choose which speed works for you. Angela talks fast (no bad, but sorry ❤). I use the 0.75x….give it a try. Thanks again Angela!❤️
@@AngelaJasmina No problem. I was watching ‘DeLonda’ and she shared this ‘help’ with everyone. What do you think of “GoDaddy” for setting up a webpage?
Bigger is better with embroidering!! You think I would have learned from all the heat press machines I bought. I added a SE2000 to my business in January 😢.. thinking I needed to start small it’s already for sale and now I have the Baby Lock Capella. Great Video and Info!!
I've had my business since 2011 and started embroidery back then on a Husqvarna Ruby (I still have it), but always wanted a Melco when I would go to the trade shows. I started watching you back in 2016 and watched you grow and it's great. I did buy a Melco from Todd in 2022. Had several set backs with eye surgeries, that I'm just now using it and still watching your videos. Keep it up!
if ordering just one mighty hoops, will it be wise to go 8x9 or 8x13 ? some suggested 5.5 for logos ? i see there is even 6.5 and 7.5. if i get 8x9 / 8x13 i can still do adult left chest logos right ?
Hi Angela, I have been watching all your videos I really hoping that this embroidery small business can be successful I have a baby girl and only me can take care of her my husband can't provide enough so I'm very emotional compromised with this, I'm very creative so wish me luck and advice please 😊
Hi, thanks for all the great info. I already sell gift boxes and I wanted to add embroidery baby clothes or gift towels(personalized) to my gift boxes. Embroidery seems expensive to up keep and I'm worried about my margins. I will definitely increase my prices if I do. Is embroidery products in a gift box worth it to add to my product line?
Hey Angela um Chris from Zimbabwe Harare, I love the brand of your machines, I would like to know what’s your brand name and I would love to source them…
Do I already own my own embroidery business? Yes. Am I going to watch the entire video anyways? Also Yes! Even when you already own a business you can still learn a lot from experienced people!
Thank you for all the videos that you do! I've learned so much. I've had a flat bed embroidery machine for a few years but mainly used it for personal projects when I had time. I recently retired and I just purchased my first multi-needle embroidery machine. I'm so hooked.... and I'm having so much fun! My next step is to open an on-line business. The information you provide has pointed me to additional steps I need to take. I appreciate your willingness to pass on your knowledge to help others. Thank you again, I look forward to seeing your next video.
I worked for my mom’s embroidery business. Most of her clients were schools. Covid wiped it out and never recovered. Been thinking of starting my own but not sure I want to take the financial risk. There’s a lady in our town that does a lot of the schools and businesses and gets ruthless if anyone tries coming in. I mean she will get downright nasty and run people out
I am starting and paying for all in cash. My question is do you recommend the 4x4 or the 5x7. I am doing dog bandanas to start with and would love to work my way up, but just to start which would you recommend. I have the cash as of now for the 4x4 or should I wait a bit and get the 5x7 brother single needle
Can you talk about licenses how many you need what permits to get , do you need to have an accountant and also how to make inventory and keep track of all what you have, and how are you able to fulfill every order yourself.
Thanks for the video. I’m trying to get started and trying to research the best one to start with. Will PE900 be good to start with robes and baby clothes?
Hi There, I have an EMB16X but at the time I received it my mother passed away and I was her caregiver I am trying to find hands-on training to run the machine 2 days were not enough time and I had my mind on my mom, will you direct me to resources to help me so I will not damage the machine.
I enjoyed this video and the helpful information on starting an embroidery business. The satisfaction of owning your own business and working the hours you want makes embroidery a great business.
I found you online when I was just starting with a PE400 back in 2019! I have a 12 needle BAI. The field was the most important thing for me as I do church embroidery work. I wanted to go to the Impressions Expo but couldn't get away.
I started watching you 4 years ago and it's amazing to see all your hard work pay off. I wsh I had done a little more research before upgrading my little 4x4 combo (needed to replace my sewing machine and try embroidery). I got a BL Pathfinder and I wish I had gone with even a single needle free arm over the flatbed. Still wishing to upgrade, maybe I will make it happen one of these days. ❤
Hello Angela, I have been following you for a long time. Can you tell me where you buy your t-shirts, your embroidery threads, water-soluble threads, fleece, etc. I want to dedicate myself to the embroidery business.
Thank again for all the information. You are always so helpful. Also it was nice meeting you in L.A the Expression Show. I'm still working on getting a machine. I'm starting small.
Thank you. I really started embroidery for my own fun creating things and i didn't think people would like my stuff. Now I'm thinking of leveling up. Thank you again for the info
Great video. I’ve been with you since the beginning. You’ve came along way. I must say you’re an awesome, talented, business minded person. Very inspirational. Thanks for all you do. Stay blessed!!

You’re Amazing…God bless you !!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great vid girl, my gf and I would also love to start that business, but first with a beginner machine I guess. Can you do a recommendation for that? Like which one would be the best to start with, more or like something you can hide behind the desk if you dont need it ;)
Hi Angela, just came across your videos. Such helpful information. Quick question for those starting off. What are the top 16-20 thread colors you use most in your business ??
