I would use a nice shower curtain (cloth kind) for covering chairs! It is already designed to repel water and is very cost effective. There are SO many pretty designs that are less than $30 and that might cover 6 chairs. Also, my magic cleaning mix is blue Dawn and hydrogen peroxide...it is AMAZING and works great with microfiber cloths to get even old stains with! I use a diluted version in a spray bottle for clothes stains too. Love these videos so much!

I will have to try this for my rocking chair. It has a microfiber cushions. I have noticed though that I can replace the blue dawn with seventh generation unscented soap and it works just as well!

Have been using the Dawn and Hydrogen Peroxide and recently learnt that it works for any dish detergent as well. For fixtures and mirrors I use a little rubbing alcohol or baking powder. Will have to try the shaving cream and see which one works best.

For years I've used laundry soap in my carpet cleaner.. makes the house smell like a fresh load of laundry .. love it!!

i've gotten ground in mud that ive been battling for years now and i have a good carpet cleaner but i thought about oxy clean, i have cream colored carpet and a area rug i wanna clean do you know if that will work

Use about 1/2 cup of salt in the wash to get blood stains out. Even old set in blood, salt doesn't bleach out fabrics like hydrogen peroxide does.

I used to use shaving cream on my student desks at the end of the school year. Just rub it in and it takes off marker, glue residue, tape remnants, everything. I never though tof using it on chrome!

Weds/Fri the Pre-K teachers have shaving cream "art" class. Kids get a pile of shaving cream on their desks and have to smear it around and draw a picture in it. Its fun and it wipes up the desks quite nicely! Lol 😉 😅

I bought those chair covers from Amazon a few months ago and I absolutely love them! Very inexpensive, but they look great. They fit my Megan armless chairs from Pottery Barn (discontinued). Baking soda balances the acids and bases in your water (which means it softens the water). So your laundry gets cleaner and you can use a little bit less detergent. I use it every time I do a load. I also add white vinegar to the rinse water. It helps remove any lingering soap, therefore making your laundry softer. I don’t need to use any fabric softener anymore!

My favorite cleaning tip is to put my stove drip pans in a trash bag with ammonia over night. The next morning all of the burnt on crud comes right off! I even did a video on it. I'm still amazed 😍

I need to try the shaving cream one! My fav is for the shower head: pour vinegar in a zip top bag, put the shower head in it and secure with a rubber band (I often use an elastic hair band) and let it soak for a few hours. Gets all the buildup off and makes it run so much nicer!

Its easier to just unscrew the head and set it in a plastic container with vinegar. Rinse, then re attach.

Try lemon juice vinegar and baking soda together it works great and mix all three to pour down your sink drain to freshen it up

Thanks for the hacks! Vinegar in the wash "side hack" for getting vinegar into the rinse cycle without having to camp out at the machine. Use the in-wash Downy Ball. Fill to the line or a bit more (but not more than 3/4 full) and just as it would deliver softener, instead it releases the vinegar!

These are great, thank you. A tip for stainless steel refrigerators, sinks etc, is wipe with a damp softner sheet to clean and dry with a microfiber cloth. It takes it all off and makes it look brand new. Using shaving cream to clean your mirrors in the bathroom prevents them from fogging up from a hot shower.

Back when my husband worked a job where his clothes got road greasy(he was a tow truck driver) someone told me to use about a table spoon of salt when I washed his work clothes and it would get the grease out of his white shirts(why his work thought white shirts were a good idea..I have no clue). It does work.

I'm sorry if someone already posted these. 1. Baking soda and real coke both clean toilets sparkling! 2 I use lemon pledge to spray on spiderwebs. Spiders don't like the lemon feel on their legs. They'll soon be packing their bags 3. I sprinkle cinnamon all around the cracks to the outside. Ants will not cross cinnamon. 4.finally, I knew a guy without any trash cans, wastebaskets in his house. All trash was immediately taken out to the garbage cans. He never had an odor problem.

Baking soda a is soooo great for all kinds of cleaning tasks, right down to our teeth. My mom used to make us brush with baking soda at least once a month it doesn't taste great initially but leaves your teeth sparkly and makes your breath extremely sweet. 😊 Thanks for another great quick-hit, useful video with tips we can use immediately 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

PinkVanilla Pastry I put about a quarter cup of baking soda on top after I put the towels in and run the dryer as normal. Works great! Especially if you use dryer sheets, too!

Great video, years ago I used to buy a product called 20 Mule Team Borax I believe. It primarily is baking soda. Don’t know if they still make it, but it worked great for laundry. I also sprinkle baking soda on my stainless steel sink, then add vinegar to it to make a paste and scrub it with that mixture. It will bu. Le up at first. It really makes the sink shine.

I accidently dropped one of grandpa's denture tablets down the toilet whilst cleaning the bathroom... it cleaned like magic...over the years ive now started using denture tablets mixed with baking soda. Throw in ur cistern ... amazing results

My favorite cleaning tip is one cup vinegar, two cups water, for cleaning bathroom, counters, and glass. But, I love all of your tips, Kathryn, especially natural cleaners, like baking soda in the white laundry. Enjoy the rest of your summer!! Love your channel!!💪

Yes baking soda and vinegar is great for laundry. Been using it for years. It's a great low income laundry hack also for budgeting

How do you actually do it? I have a front load washer and white linens can't stay white. I use bleach but doesn't work. I'm not sure if it has something to so with my water.

White vinegar keeps clothes from fading. My dad taught me to put a bit of white vinegar in the wash and rinse water to keep new jeans from fading.

@@jessh1659 they sell a white booster in laundry isle doesnt cost alot , many different kinds saved my whites when I bought new . Didnt take old dinggy out though . So it helps if you always use it .
