5 New Features I'd Love in the Minecraft Nether Update 

Yeah I didn't think through the brimstone vanishing in lava the second you find it. I guess that could be part of the challenge or maybe it's in an air pocket instead? All just rough concepts and ideas!

The “piglin village has already been announced and is called a “bastion”. They literally only wrote one line about it though so there’s not much to go on

I think the geysers should fire intermittently instead of only when you jump on them.

The “blue and red nether wart forests” are actually called warped and crimson

I’m only seeing this after playing 1.16, getting lost in the nether, and finding a broken portal. You, sir, are amazing.

ngl, i'd love to see dyeable nether portals in minecraft like just imagine the atmosphere you could create in some builds like a gray nether portal hidden in a cave base wouldn't that be awesome?

The broken portals could lead to something like a dungeon, I think that would be a cool feature and it would add another purpose to them.

The zombie pigmen wont be replaced. They are just going to get renamed to zombiefied piglings

It would be cool if those used lava sponges actually have to be used as fuel to empty them; kind of the opposite of the normal sponge drying.

It’s awesome that the bottom 2 things were actually added to the game in the Nether Update XD.

I feel like they should add something like lava goggles, so basically you can see much better in the lava and for the lava temples, I think that the lava sponge should be like netherite (doesn’t burn in lava) and that there should be mobs defending the temple, like there are in sea temples

when Grian predicts what the Piglins will be like in the 1.16 update... "Piglin village" = bastion remnant. "Piglin Trading system but you still don't want to mess with them" = you trade with them with gold ingots and keep them from attacking you by wearing gold armor.

How about making nether fortresses with "stages"? Something like: "outskirts" would be poor like the regular fortress, the "near center" would have more buildings and rooms but with new mobs and better loot and in the center would be the larger castle with many rooms and a boss on the top tower and maybe low chances of getting netherite from chests. In my opinion everything needs more endgame structures to make exploring more intresting.

I’d like to see lava gain water’s ability to combine flows into infinite sources, but _only_ while in the Nether. I’ve always found it strange that lava is a finite resource in the Nether.

Imo, while it would be great if it were possible to live in the nether, but, it being literal hell, it should be way more hostile. I think it'd be great if it were highly rewarding for going into the nether, but also very difficult. I want to be attacked by freaking shadow demons. I want the nether fortresses to have traps and a boss. I want souls to rise out of soulsand to try and silence you. etc etc But perhaps there's a rare ore in the nether that makes awesome gear. Or some exclusive items, even a mobility item even. An obsidian boat would be dope too, so you can literally sail the lava oceans. etc etc.

I would love to see like, a lochness monster type mob/boss that swims around the huge lava lakes in the nether

1:45 with the broken portal shown in that time you technically could dig the corners to complete it and activate it

It would be cool if you could add an enchantment to your helmet or something to improve your eyesight in lava. Also adding to the brimstone idea, with normal sponge if it is used you can put it in a furnace to make it useable once again, with brimstone that wouldn't work due to the lava in it will not dry out, so I suggest putting it in water to make it useable again. Or possibly some thing else.

Wow the broken portals got added! The piglin villages were added in the form of bastions Trading too Brimstone=striders (both help u get around lava)
