5 NEW Weapon Kit Ideas With THE NEW SPECIALS! (Kraken Royale, Super Chump) // Splatoon 3 

hey, im also a competitive player of about 2 years, would try to relate my experience but you didnt specify what div you’re in. i appreciate that you take the time to rate all my kits, but i have a few things id like to say in response 1: the point of kraken on explo is the survivability, the startup lag doesnt matter when explo can see you from so far away (ive played explo since the custom kit dropped btw) and because of kraken being invulnerable, it can drive the attacker away from it and allow for the explo’s teammates to get the kill before kraken runs out, which is feasible in a team environment 2: torp on brella would be great for it! i dont know if youve seen kunder fight but that thing can do a lot with torpedo. now imagine that with a much better main weapon+an invincibility special and you’ve got a really strong fighter 3: yeah i get what you mean but that was the entire point of the kit was having fizzy so that squiffer could paint much better as well as force people out of an area, and maybe in hindsight the kraken could be like 220p but it wouldnt be able to spam it as much as you think due to squiffer requiring a good deal of ink to fire and fizzy chunking it’s tank 4: the whole point of rpd was that it has crazy pressure with it’s kit+i dont think it could cause an annoying meta. rpd last game had the same kit but it had ink armor, which is probably way more annoying on rapid pro than super chump will 5: yeah this kit kinda sucks ill be real- couldnt think of anything to give it besides beakon or mist, and it already has mist. i figured itd be a strong location-heavy weapon that counters ns, but its not much different of a kit from the vanilla which is a mistake on my part its cool that you play comp, but it doesnt mean that whatever you say as a comp player is facts. i appreciate the ratings tho, just wanted to voice my opinion on your opinion lmao

@@jacobcats_spl yea yea i hadn't known so i figured i would drop my take on it and yea we arent always gonna say factual stuff ofc only only the 5th kit is very mid i wont lie and i see the point of all of them just play styles it what concerned me bc i dont want a end splatoon 2 2.0 lmao

@@polygawn i think wall would encourage a more midline playstyle with stamper, and i dont think that would be very fun or healthy for the game+stamper’s offenses are very reliant on combo damage, and wall+kraken kinda gets rid of all the combo potential that it could have from it’s sub and special

@@jacobcats_spl Wiper is probably the better pick of the splatana's to get kraken. Something like splat bomb and kraken would be the ideal kit for it

I think the normal kit already has enough lock down, and I think a more aggressive kit would be better for it. Suction is a bit too ink hungry for bow, and splat bomb is fine (though it takes a decent bit of ink but yk it's OP, it's a splat bomb). Utility subs are usually better for stringer, but I really like the idea of torp on it. Probably the best backline to get torp, good get off me tool, combos well with the weapon unlike having it with a charger, and helps counter chargers; one of bow's weaknesses.

yeah everyone seems to share a similar sentiment. in hindsight i shouldnt have made a kit for a weapon i dont really have experience with. really appreciate your input though! will def be more cautious with my weapon kit ideas in the future for sure

@@JulesLeoDirect thats a good question because i dont really know for sure. if anything id like to have the weapon take design inspiration from the Black Inky Rider clothing (glossy black), and if anything would look good with that color scheming id probably put it on squeezer. As for the kit, i have no idea. Splat Bomb would be cool to see on it again, and maybe wail or kraken would be cool to see. Squeezer would be stupid good with Splat Bomb+Kraken tho so idk

yeah ill admit that kit kinda sucks, i just didnt want to give it a bomb considering how strong that would be also ive played a good bit of tri-stringer after releasing this video, and i understand what it’s about a lot more (i dont necessarily agree with “supportive charger” but i get what u mean) also point sensor is kinda slept on- have you seen the stuff that nautilus can do with it? running point in a comp can be really strong due to ninja squid still having a presence, combine that with tri’s strong chip and aggro positioning and you have a good ns counter

@@jacobcats_spl i get it if it somehow gets crab then point censor makes sense if it gets ink storm, burst bomb should be fine it depends on the combo for balance reasons and yeah i mean it more in the sense that you dont always have to look for one shots like eliters and splatchargers do, just a half charge supports and slows them down same with lob shots over walls and all that, its something snipers cant do

oh honestly i wouldnt mind a beacon either lol

I'd nominate ink mine as one of tri-stringer's better sub options, it offers good chipping that kills off the damage from two arrows and still tracks targets like point sensor. Rounds out the weapon pretty well.

@@GoldStorm07 id still prefer burst bomb or beacon, but id take ink mine over the point censor yeah
