As a Bears fan I can't take seeing another new QB. Fields is not the problem. It's the Bears coaching that continues to fail the team. If the Bears get a new QB they will fail him. Get rid of the coaches!
Two really good QB prospects right now, and the Bears will probably be able to get one of them. JF still has tradeable value and his winning record is just too atrocious. This has been proven during the last two games (two wins by a backup smh). Fields may be good one day, and may be good for another team, but his time with the Bears needs to end. Maybe a fresh new start (like Geno Smith) might turn everything around, but right now enough is enough. Get one of these super hot prospects and don't look back. Best of luck for Fields, and might want to do something about the GM and coaching staff too.
@@broq9194 you make very very very good points maybe it is time for JF to move on and refresh his career before it's to late but as far as the backup qb win the last two games those wins wasn't against very good teams and those wins had more to do with the running game
Reminder: Mac Jones=25-years-old; Justin Fields=24-years-old; Daniel Jones=26-years-old. I may throw in Zach Wilson, too. He is 24-years-old. (Not everyone can be Mahomes or CJ Stroud right out of college). Aren't you giving up on those aforementioned QBs a bit too soon?
Zach had the best performance today against Houston. He just may be good enough to be traded for a 7th round pick to somebody who needs a backup QB next year.@@ChillConservative2k15
I feel like Fields has had his head messed up in Chicago like they put him in a box and tried to make him a pocket passer. It got to the stage where he was second guessing himself and getting to worried about not throwing picks. He needs a HC that can rebuild his confidence like Mike McDaniel did with Tua. I think of the current coaches in the NFL that could get Fields back on track Brian Daboll makes a lot of sense but i personally would love to see Jim Harbaugh come back to the NFL with Fields as his QB.
Jets, Falcons, Panthers, Colts, Las Vegas, Bengals, Giants, Steelers. All of them got QB problems. Bryce Young and Kenny Pickett are humongous busts already.
Why bengals? Think Joe needs to renegotiate his contract to keep some weapons and get a good o line so he's not sacked like a speed bag every season but that dude is an animal. I don't fault the panthers qb either, bad situation to be in rookie year. Jags bounced back nice, think panthers just need to for a few things right. Agree with the rest though
The Broncos definitely need a new QB. Mentally and physically, Russell Wilson is not a Football player anymore. The Broncos 2023 season is pretty much over already.
Sure, why not so he can go with that idiot Pace who drafted him. Pace had the last laugh before leaving Bears when he drafted Fields, fully knowing that Fields sucks badly and wanted to throw a wrench in the Bears' system for the next 3 years. His wish came true as we're suffering big time with Fields' atrocity.
So if he would be so good for the Falcons, why can't he just stay in Chicago and make them great instead of going to another team and making them great?!
There will be no rebuild in Las Vegas. The Raiders with AP as HC and Tom Telesco as GM they will acquire a QB and improve the Defense and reevaluate after the 24 season.
I would put the Jets in the mix. Do you think Rodgers if he does come back will be playing for years and years? He may last a year at best. I would be looking for a franchise QB in this years draft. Wilson looked fantastic in one game this year which makes you think is it the coaching staff putting the brakes on this kid. Something seems off as they make this Kid Wilson look like he's never played football before. Something seems fishy in Jets camp. Which makes you think Wilson is not a QB the Jets want moving forward.
With all the issues the Bears have, drafting another quarterback doesn’t make sense. Use that draft capital to get much needed defensive and offensive lineman.
dude, have you seen chicago games ? of course its managements fault. they gave him nothing, he still was able to convert impossible first downs for a RB as a qb. of course he has no arm like lawrence, but he has better feets than jackson does. others in this draft ( wilson, lance, jones) had better overall concepts (okay, maybe not wilson bit compared to him fields could be named the embryo goat). give him a mediocre OL, at least one reliable wideout and a TE, a solid RB so he doesnt have to make every rungame himself and fields can suprise many ppl if he isnt burnt out until then.
Josh Mcdaniels overrode the advice of the Raiders staff when they told him CJ Stroud was the best option going forward because he wanted Jimmy G to start-moron.
Definitely. Jordan Love has been extremely suspect. A lot of poor decision making in crucial situations. I completely agree with this, Packers need a new QB.
You must be buggin...Jordan is on his way to the top. You're either not watching his games or you are on some "I hate these black quarterbacks" trip. I'll bet you think Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts should be replaced too, huh?
Justin Fields is worth a 2nd round pick? Are you sure about that. I mean trey Lance only went for a late round pick and he barely got to play in the league.
Yeah but Trey Lance looked way worse in limited time than Fields has in my opinion. I think there's multiple organizations that feel as if their coaching staff could get the best out of Fields.
@@PaytonTalksNFL No my man, Fields is horrible. I mean, when Poles had the 1st overall pick, NO ONE called to see if we will trade Fields. NO ONE. If they truly wanted Fields cuz they knew we might be taking a QB with 1OA, they would be calling for a trade. Either that, or if Fields is desirable, they will do whatever possible to trade for Fields, yet NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE called about a Fields trade. They know he's bad and cancerous to any team Fields play for. He will most likely be a backup for a team for the next 3 years before going to his true job, flipping burgers at the local joint in Macon, GA or Kennesaw, GA.
@@jonnycameron2850 It still early on Fields. I am not sold on him being invevitably horrible yet. There is a world of difference between Justin Fields and Zach WIlson
Fields isnt going nowheres is is good as hell and as alot of talent with no offense he is playing way to good to take a chance at a rookie qb .they will darft down and take Harrison that will be a stud in the nfl
What about Jordan Love? I dont see it. I agree 1 more season with weapons then you gotta go. As a Cowboys fan I absolutely love Daniel Jones. I knew last year was a fluke and Jones could never beat us. Hate to see him go. 😪
With his contract pretty much they are going to need a lot of rookies he’s gonna be there atleast 1 more season his dead cap hit is still too high unless the owner allows Peyton to just take the 75 million cap hit which of the designate him as a post June 1 cut they can split it for 2 years
@jimbowlan5804 They still need a quarterback. Russ is average at best and will be 36 years old this time next year. If they draft a quarterback and he sits for a year like Mahomes did, that's fine. But they can not afford to pass on a quarterback.
@@PaytonTalksNFL And for keeping Fields as our QB when we should have traded Fields for a vet QB and draft BPA with the 1OA. But Poles still have time to redeem himself and the way to redeem himself is getting rid of Fields ASAP.
Ooh no not another NFL pundit, making calls without having been in the Firing line😂🤣😂🤔🤥🤫 bruh would've, could've, should've.. ..get back in the darkroom & lock the door QUICKLY .. ..😱💅🐓
Mac jonee is built like a potato 🥔rip pats bet on em to lose Daniel Jones was not bad at all and is missed rip giants bet on em to lose.fields is loosing hard rip bears 🐻 I'm betting on Vikings tonight over buying points .picket is trash rip Pittsburgh
These numbers take only Fields last four FULL games - the Minnesota game in which he was hurt was not a complete game effort... YPA --> 8.09 YPC --> 11.66 Comp. % --> 69.4% YPG --> 251 TD-to-INT --> 9 to 1 Rushes --> 45 for 245 yards (5.4 ypc) Again extrapolate to a full 17 game schedule: Total Yards Passing --> 4,263 yards TD-to-INT --> 38 TDs - 4 INTs Rushes --> 191 for 1,041 yards Soooo....based solely on the results of Fields LAST FOUR COMPLETE START-FINISH GAMES: he accounts for 5,300 yards, at least 38 TDs and 4 INTs???? And the dumbasses in the press and the restless fans want to dump him and move on to a finger-nail painting, crying-to-momma, not-talking-to-mean-press prima donna future epic bust????? If Fields does that same level of production for the next 5 weeks, you would have to be a TV talking head or a piece of Samsonite to pull the plug on him and move to ANOTHER rookie (3rd time in less than 10 years!!!)....JF1 is QB1 and the Bears are in SB 60 for the 40th anniversary of the '85 Bears...write it down!
There is no such thing as a franchise QB. Franchise tries to get QB to fit their team. Which QB won a superb owl without a super team. Teams have won Superbowls without a QB. Example is Dan Marino. He passed for all those records only went to Superbowl 1 time. Got crushed.
LOL sure buddy. Definitely his fault for playing for OSU, a team who's notorious for deceiving the NFL into thinking they produce top shelf QBs when they actually play in one of the weakest conferences. Pace fell for the biggest lie and drafted him or you can say, Pace knew his time is coming so before leaving the organization, Pace drafted one of the worst QBs in the NCAA so he can give the Bears a big, fat middle finger and laugh his way to the Falcons. Who knows, but either way, Fields was good at making "incredible" throws but it was actually his WRs making acrobatic moves to catch Fields overthrown/underthrown balls.
That would be ironic because they passed on Fields in the draft lol. But honestly I like your point. Atlanta has to get rid of Arthur Smith first though.
I still can’t believe the Raiders thought Jimmy Garrapolo was the answer. >< I dare another team to take him. Him sucking had nothing to do with injuries.
That was all McDummy, who is gone now but has left a QB room on par with with a porta-potty. Aiden is a nice kid but sure doesn't look like the man, as we speak. Jimmy G will be gone and Hoyer will be selling timeshares
Not a whole season I hope. He has glaring deficiencies. If we are 2-5 after 7 weeks and still have a playoff shot, lets get him out of there! That is why we need a proven veteran like Foles, Flacco, Mariotta or even Cousins. To step in quickly! BTW 2 of those guys have SB rings!
The funniest thing is all that "Fire Canada" stuff when the Steelers are actually 5th in the league in seperation, 4th in the league in open targets while being 32nd in overthrows and 31st in off target throw%. Not their OC, but their awful QB is the reason for the inability on offense.
@@zerronprime9683 If you're 32nd in overthrows, (meaning you have more overthrows than 31 other QBs) and 31st in off target throws (meaning you have more off-target throws than 30 other QBs), that's completely on the QB unless his offensive line doesn't give him enough time. Has nothing to do with the OC. I think the OC is a convenient scapegoat and the gap between what Kenny looked like in the preseason compared to what he looks like now has a lot of fans wanting to blame _someone._
Kenny was a human target for the first half of the season from incompetent line play and terrible Matt Canada plays, and play calling. The O line has come around and Matt has changed his plays. The Steelers now have a run game. I will judge Kenny from this point to the end of the year. The coaching had been sub par for years and I would not mind a clean sweep after the season.
As an outside observer, Daniel Jones got the deal of a lifetime. According to this video, he had 15 TDs and 5INTs (plus 7 rush TDs) for a 92.5 passer rating. If you actually watched the games (or stats for that matter), you know he’s not worth $40 mil per year. That contract may sting the Giants for a while. To his credit, in a prove it year, he apparently did enough for the Giants to say “he’s our guy!” 😬
This is so true. Everyone acted like last year was his breakout season. When in reality, the stats weren't really THAT impressive, they were just better than before. And to your point, I never watched Daniel Jones and thought "wow he's a quarterback who can lead this team to a super bowl". And while $40 mil is not really breaking the bank for a qb anymore, it's certainly an over pay for a bottom 15-20 QB in the league.
I feel bad for the Raiders, Chiefs, The Giants, Dallas, Philly, and Washington in 2024. Because they have a face a very tough offense and defense of the Baltimore Ravens. Now here is what I would do with Mac Jones. Trade him to the Raiders after 2024. Fields to the Falcons or Tampa. Jimmy G to Chicago. Sean Watson, I am not sure if he going to stay healthy in Cleveland. Pickett to the Vikings. To be the backup to Kirk Cousins. Now Devito should have a new head coach. While the head coach of the Giants should step down and be the offensive coach!!!
Chiefs need to dump Mahomes while they can still get a 3rd rounder draft pick for him. Chiefs dumped Alex Smith just before he broke his leg. Mahomes is no more than 1 year away. TRADE HIM while you still can.
Plus all his family baggage is about to implode. How is he going to do when asked about his Daddy's 3rd DUI? How can a guy with a father like that do insurance commercials?
LOL just get on your knees and give Fields a BJ, will ya? No he is not that good. Bagent has proven us that he can do well in Eberflus' offense, better than Fields have ever done in his 2+ seasons. He didn't do well under Nagy and now we have Eberflus and he's still the same ol' Unreliable Fields. Fields can't read the field well enough to throw to anyone. He fixates on his first read target and if that target is covered, he runs or gets sacked. And no he's not worth a 2nd round pick. A 7th would be his worth or a bag of nuts. I think we're riding him out til the end of the season then cutting him. I'm also hoping Bagent takes over in the final stretch of the season so we can see whether Bagent can do more stuff and keep him as QB1. Then that will mean Eberflus and Poles' jobs will be retained while Fields kick rocks all the way to Kennesaw, GA so he can finally do his true job -- flipping burgers. I blame the last 2+ seasons all on Fields, not management and some of it on the ownership.
Come on man, u can't throw Bryce Young under the bus, not just yet. He has no offensive weapons and no offensive line. If Young doesn't improve in 2 more years. Then we can put him as a bust
Pickett comes from behind and wins in the 4th Quarter. His Quarterback rating in the 4th quarter is around 100. Pickett has won his first overtime game. Bradshaw in his first Super Bowl season was benched. This talking head does know football. He is a statistical genius, but knows nothing about guts. Pickett wins when the money is on the line. Pickett win lose record is 14 - 10, which is above .500. The Steelers are in the running to win the division With 4 wins v. 1 lose in the division. One of those wins was against Ravens the division leader. The Steelers are leading & tie with Cleveland in the Wild Car Race. This record is good for a 2nd year QB.
I hope the Bears keep Justin and build around him instead of starting over with an unproven QB...AGAIN, but if they do trade him, trade him to a team with the wort record so they get some value for him. The man hasn't had good coaching which is a big problem, and the OC and QB coach aren't there anymore, so give him a chance by hiring coaches who know what they are doing. I wish the Bears would have gotten rid of Eberflus too...with him as HC they will always be mediocre!
So our O line last year was trash, our OC is forcing him to do bad plays, gets the conclusion of Pickett is bad?? He isnt bad. All he needs to do is ignore Canada and do the good calls and the rest of the coaches and team will back him up. If Pickett does good, Canada will look bad, so why not have the blame fall on the QB? Canada should go to Green Bay where they do similar things. Pickett isnt bad
Kenny Pickett has won 13 games as a Steelers and lost 9. This is not a bad record for a second year QB. Terry Bradshaw was benched for Joe Gilliam, because of poor performance. In Bradshaw first Super Bowl he was more a running back, then a passer. Actually the Steelers should be in first place because the Steelers beat the Ravens, but because of the bye week the Steelers are in second place. Kenny Pickett QB rating 4 the 4 quarter is over 100. Kenny Pickett has even won an overtime game. Kenny Pickett is a clutch player, and he has ice in his vains. Kenny has come back from behind to win.
