That might be partly the reason they changed the range of the Pokestops. You no longer have to walk right up to it. If you are within a certain range, the game allows you to gather from the stop without getting as close as you had to before.
@Lyxzen and theres many scenarious where the victim didnt even record. so the recorded ones are prob just 1-5% of the total amount of scenerarious where something have happend.

I went to a police hot spot, it was close to a church and when I was catching a pokemon I saw a cop car driving by and watching me and my friends catch pokemon, once we left the cop car moved on.. Ladies and gentlemen catching pokemon while black xD
Yup, Pokémon Go can be dangerous. I was almost robbed a few months ago, while I was playing the game, but they didn't took anything because I ran (I know I shouldn't but I was scared). I also heard about some apps that people can mark where they found certain pokémon for others to find too, and apparently some people are using this for robbing. Meh, we can't have anything fun.

I miss the days when this game was popular. I had a creepy experience in a park at night once though. There was maybe 100+ players out that night though. So I'm sure someone would have helped me if he tried anything.

Or it could just be some insomniac lives near that stop and is farming it when they can't sleep. That's what I do with the library next door. ...though it DOES attract a lot of people, even at midnight or later.
+Gohan Gamer The only place where the game really works right is in cities. Everywhere else it's hard to even find Pokemon, and Pokestops are even rarer.
