Sometimes these people are your own friends and family sad to say but true

“IF THEY’RE bringing gossip to you, if they’re telling you things about someone else that was supposed to stay just between the 2 of them-you can BEST BELIEVE they are doing the same to you!”

I've had experience with a jealous best friend who also befriended someone she knew was my enemy. I had to distance myself and keep to myself because I watched her behavior and facial expressions when anyone asked about me or talked about me. I now have peace because I've left her alone. Through conversation I found she would talk about me to everyone behind my back.

1: People who want to be you. 2: Cant is friends with a terrible person. 3: Cant be friends with a person whose jealous of you. 4: Cant be friends with someone who are friends with your enemies. 5: Cant be friends with people who talk about others behind their back.

The jealous friend will secretly sabotage everything behind your back. Spread rumors, lies and gossip. They can’t wait to dish the dirt on you.

You saved me! I was at the end & couldn't take any more of this world. If I could talk to you directly, I would thank you and hug you brother!

I think that #4 should include coworkers as well because I've had friends at work who would befriend the coworker that would badmouth me to others and lie to the managers about me. It's because my friend was afraid of being badmouthed by this coworker. Also, that coworker had connections to big-name people so the friend would do whatever they could to be friends with them and hold their tongue whenever the coworker would spread rumors about me. But I definitely agree with the levels of friendship. I think I made the wrong people become my close friends that really should be my associates.

Number 4 is a big one!!! I have always said “I don’t fw people who fw people I don’t fw”!!! I would always say you can’t be loyal to me and them and number 5 is big too and I’ve actually been having an issue with that lately with a long time friend of mine and I let her know that I didn’t wanna be cool anymore cause she stay gossiping about people she be in the face of and she started crying and all this bs but I think now I just have to cut her off without saying anything.

Unfortunately for me and maybe for others these people are in my family. Toxic people are toxic. It’s hard to discern these people as friends but harder when they are blood. I agree on all your categories. ‘Loyalty’ gets thrown out when they are friends with your enemies. That one rang true for me.

I let go of my so called best friend for constants made fun of me in front of others, never allowed me to talk more then once abouty problems and just constantly took from me. Emotionally, financially ,and consistently made fun of me to my face and in front of others. It was hard but i finally ended ot. Thank you Trent Shelton

The same people that look at me like it’s me that’s off the mark-immature bc I expect that my people would be genuine enough that THEY wouldn’t want to hang out with or even be associated with these outsiders/users/bad people!

I've had lots of people around me to want evening I have been blessed with. Lots of gifts from different people who know my character in our community and from the work I have done over the last 12 years being a Certified Caregiver. I've had Women and Men in my circle that I thought of as friends, but actually they were Wolves in Sheep's clothing. They have wrecked my relationships, wanted things people brought me before I could see what it was. I used to cook for my community until I realized that when my food is gone, they don't care if I eat or starve. These are just a couple of things I have experienced.

Good morning trent. Thank you for sharing this video. I have people in my own family, that exhibit all five of these traits that you talked about. The irony of it is that , they constantly tell me ," you can't trust people like this they will do everything they can, to hurt you ". And I'm just sitting there listening like 🙄 I talk to God daily about what moves I need to make, because He's the only one I trust!

I completely understand about the person who is jealous and wants your life. I was there, I lost everything I had, everything I always wanted because I had this friend that I truly thought was my friend, and later found out that she wanted my life. She also wanted to me all to herself. She was always planting seeds of doubt, the way she did it though was so underhanded that it wasn't until I lost everything that I realized what she was really doing.

Talkers…rumors, gossip..-. No integrity!

Amen brother keep speaking the truth God is using you to change lives! On one of your other videos I posted that it's been 5 days that I broke a bad habit now it's been 3 weeks going strong feeling good.

Dealt with all 5 types of these people, some people I have known almost all my life. Sad to let them go but my life is way better off without them!

I have people that I have helped out and they went against after I helped them out. I have had mental issues. I had 4 and 1 pass away just in my family. I had my step mom shoot her self in the chest on 06/02/2011. My brother which I found shot himself in the head 07/03/2011 My cousin came out and told the Family that he was Gay. The Family disowned him but my sister and myself told him he's still the same person that we know. It doesn't matter he is still the same person 09/12/2011. The I had my ex father in law shot himself in the head in front of of me on 07/02/2012 I appreciate you for all you do in helping me out. Listening to helps me.My counselor or psychiatrist doesn't understand my situation like you do.

I'm dealing with people being jealous of me and my ambition/my drive and I'm disabled right now crazy

I think when some ppl been down for so long, they don't even have the willpower to celebrate ur blessings or happiness. They're drowning in their own sorrow. I know ppl like this. I don't think they're jealous of me. I am the person who will stick around and help that friend. I understand that if this person's circumstances were better, they would be equally happy with me. We all have to keep going. Someone not celebrating me is not gonna keep me from doing me. We all have our own lives. I wish the best for everyone.

I love people but have very few friends that ain't really build with..if they are not about constant growth..... It hurt s but you have to distance yourself from bad energy....cause there energy will mess with your progress. Most of the time I'm solo or around people who are positive and winning.

I sure have experienced the enemies thing.

I had a therapist say that people who talk "about each other" but not "to each other" are super toxic. I usually step back and say to myself "what is their intentions by telling me this?" There's usually a negative energy that comes with these people also. Pay attention to the vibe! I would also like to see more videos on how to cut toxic people out of your life. Because sometimes when you do so they start a smear campaign and try to destroy your character. I am not someone that stands up for myself or tries to defend myself. I just walk away. At one point I had to move and just start over.

I am not going lie but the gossip part ive been that person becos of the way I grew up around families who talked bad about ppl what I didn't realise was that your environment affects u bad and in 9th grade I became the gossip I didn't realise how bad it was until I got the award for gossip girl of the year and no one not even the teachers could atleast say look what you're doing isn't right but then it was my choice but now i slowly realise that with gossip u attract ppl and they use and i didn't want to become that person so from now on I'm working on me to become a better person

LESSON LEARNED! FAMILY AND FOES.... My former BFF was the one who talk about people to anyone who will listen (and talked about me behind my back to others), she would stay friends w/people who did me wrong and I believe she was jealous of me too. After 45 years, I ghosted her when I finally opened my eyes and saw how she just couldn't be happy for me finally finding love and deciding to move to another state w/my husband whom SHE INTRODUCED me too...hard lesson to learn but I did. Thx Trent for your real talk.

Sir, thank you for sharing Godly, Bible wisdom. My family has verbally and mentally abused me most of my life. I've been told of family gatherings 30 minutes before events. My mom and sisters are bearers of jealousy. Well, they have baby mama drama and I don't, my mom rolls her eyes tells me she hates me, in the name of "Joking." Well, I felt loyal and took the abuse until recently, I distance myself from all toxicity without regret. Even my neighbors despise me, they turned my landscaper into a hater. So I had to get rid of him/ wife. And we broke 🍞 together. But, God cut a clan of 11 people out of my life in a week. Now, I'm too busy healing in God and working towards my destiny. 🙏🗣 ️🙌❤

Trent I’m having a bad episode tonight n my life I really would like to talk to you about what’s going on in my life and maybe come up with a way to make it more barable I suffer from stage 1 bipolar ptsd and more and my struggle has had me crying all day.

I was almost killed because of association i was looked at like a theif because of association an before GOD i was good to this person was a total facade an abused me physically anytime i didnt agree with them an they was never wrong true could never enjoy my achievements like they clearly hated me i lost a lot of friends an opportunites because of this person i always forgave them but that proved nothing i was never treated the way i deserved i was beat an left like i was nothing an this person i thought was my friend an loved him an his kids but never appreciated my greatness an was willing to let me get hurt i was lost because how could someone say they love you an never show the truth that they do but can lie abuse an hurt you beyond words i hope to all people that they truly listen an take heed because your life could be the very thing of all things they take

I definitely had a bad person around me. She was good to me but terrible to her own kids, to herself, then she turned on me because she was about herself. No loss for me, I treat me very well and she does not deserve me.

You've helped me over the years. I will be forever grateful. I was feeling like I'm not worth love and no one will ever. But I'm a God fearing person, loving, encouraging, loyal, compassionate, etc. I keep running into ppl that have so much pain n hurt. I pray that God puts ppl in my life that wants to be in my life and genuinely love me and pour into me as I do everyone. It's been a real struggle. To have reciprocation in these times feels impossible. You can be giving so much love and positivity. I've dealt with so many ppl esp men that find interest in me give mixed signals. It's hard out here. I'm trying to stay positive with so much negativity around me. I get depressed at times bc I feel like I don't belong on this earth. Struggling to find My Tribe.

This video was confirmation!!! Especially the part about not being friends with people who are cool with your enemies.. Intuitively, I always felt that it wrong.. People like that... their loyalties are fluid. They play both sides of the fence indeed, and cannot be trusted. My mother and brother are exactly like this...
