I'm in the training course right now and so far I'm liking it, although it's a lot of information in very little time. I'm excited to obtain the CC attestation and I'm okay with the base I have been assigned to. Let's hope for the best❤😂
I think it depends on each country, like for example in Morocco, they ask the candidates to pay more than 2600€ and you don't pass the final test, then you lose your money
They want a paper in which you state where you worked and the contacts of your previous employers so that they can be contacted. Note that this is very important, if they can't contact them and verify your references you won't be able to continue the training, so it's better not to mention the previous employers that you're not sure will reply. For periods of time in which you were unemployed for more than 3 months they will ask you the contacts of friends of yours you've known for more than 5 years to verify what you were doing.
9:50 the secret technique : tell the N1 "either you solve the problem yourself or we take off like this, idc" Illegal, unethical, unsafe, could get them fired, but Works everytime !
No, you can't choose your base! You need to be available to work anywhere in Europe. Sometimes they tell you which bases will be given if you start the training in a particular date, but you can never really be sure. I think I said more about it in my video "2 months as a flight attendant in France"
Hey eleanor - i saw ads saying "ryanair is growing our kaunis base! join and apply". that means your base will be kanus? so you do get to choose your base
Hi Eleanor, My name is Lorenzo. I am a first year Bachelor of Aviation Management student at Massey University in NZ. Interesting video. You talk a lot about stress, and I noticed you talked about how you left. Did you have any methods of reducing stress, such as regular religious/spiritual stuff and/or mindfulness, or exercise? Or not. If not, do you think changing that part of your life would make being a Ryan Air Flight Attendent more manageable? Also, would it be easy to move up ranks with a degree in aviation at Ryan Air? Thanks, Lorenzo
The only thing that could have made working at Ryanair more manageable would have been having another based assigned, with a higher salary and different destinations😆 About the degree, if you mean moving up ranks in the crew, so becoming a PU for example, no, a degree won't matter anything. I don't really know about other positions, I'm sorry!
Having a designated base already, i have a question: Finishing the training and having your wings cerimony done what happens if you decide you dont want to actually work for them? Do you have to payback something? How does it works?
Your training is actually completed only when you've done 2 test flights, so until that and until you've signed a contract I'm pretty sure nothing happens and you can just say you don't want to work with them and leave
@@eleanorjourney im already at the training but ive heard somewhere that if u dont want to sign the contract with them after you got the wings, you probably have to payback the per diems. Thats why i wanted to confirm with someone that actually got though the process. Grazie mille 🙂
They are not so much "discounts" as they are ticket with fixed prices. There are standby and confirmed tickets. They are between 12 and 20€ domestic and up to 50€ to go elsewhere.
Hi , I have a question regarding the right height to join Ryan air , they mentionning that height must be between 158 and 188 cm but in case of some one who is taller than 188 by few cms is that posible to pass the interview ?? Thank you
You could pass, but keep in mind that the plane is a restricted space in which even when you're small you easily feel claustrophobic! You'd lack some comfort while working if you're more than 1.88 unfortunately
Hi Eleanor! I have an important question about this job, i hope that you can help me. About the roster 5/3, during the days off if i will based not in my city, is there the possibility to come back home to my city and my family during these days off or not? (i know that it could be tiring but i need to know if the discounts can help you to do this and if it is possible. Thank you 🙏:) greetings from Rome
@@flaviocarta1161There are definitely tickets for less than that. It depends. Also, tickets get more expensive the closer it gets to the date of the flight for passengers, meanwhile for staff it's fixed. So if you want to fly next weekend you will have it easier than normal passengers.
Hi, can you please tell me how much discount on your tickets you get when you work in ryanair because I will start to work for them and I cant find information about this but I would really like to know☺️
I think I talk more about it in my video "2 months as a flight attendant in France" but basically accomodation it's all on you. Ryanair doesn't help in any way
Yes they do! But the important thing for them is that you don't have relevant gaps that you can't explain. If you weren't employed they will ask you the contacts of a friend that you've known for more than 5 years to ask them what you were doing
One thing i would like to point to is when you said that they ( Moroccans ) look at you as a useless person just because you are a woman .well thats not true .maybe you was working under pressure and you just analyzed they eyes of a wrong person. As a Moroccan who presents Morocco ww believe that everyone a girl or a boy are proficient in something and we appreciate everyone who gives an add for a certain society
I probably noticed the pattern more on Moroccan flights but it was a general statement valid for almost every flight. Usually if there was a male cabin crew next to me people would ask things to him instead of me and trust him more than me. If I asked a passenger to remove their bags from the emergency exits and they didn't want to do it, 99% when the male collegue asked the exact same thing they would do it. But I was trying to be a nice flight attendant who wants passengers to have the best experience possibile on the flight and asks them gently to do the right things for their safety, so maybe it was just my fault for not having enough bossy attitude and demand for things to be done the same way most of my male collegues did😅
@@issafula Being a flight attendant is something I've always wanted to experience, and it was a very formative and funny period of my life, but I think there are aspects of the job that are just not compatible with who I am and with the fulfilling life I dream for myself. The lack of sleep and the healthy issues coming from it are some of the most important, but also having to deal with something like 800 people a day was starting to drain me. Furthermore I just can't picture myself working forever at a job that requires me to paint my nails, wear matching makeup and shave my body hair. I was treating the grooming regulations almost as a joke but they're actually a very important part of the position and I really don't want to spend my whole life worrying about my aesthetic because some old and sexist regulations say so. But in the end the thing is I applied for Ryanair after my graduation, when I didn't really know what to do with my life and I had the privilege of having enough freedom to try whatever I wanted, so I told myself "why not"? But I already knew I wanted to finish my studies at some point and get a master's degree, and it's what I'm trying to do now. I have no idea how life will go though, and I don't exclude that I could work in aviation again, it's still a very exciting and interesting environment, but my goals and aspirations are just different right now :)
