Great ideas! Thanks! I had thought about 2 specific ideas for doom, one for footdive and one for photon array on the ground, but not as in depth as you mentioned. I'll think about what I can include!

@@SpartanThrone Might be worth talking about whiff punishes too, if you're able to get out of/past the danger zone without getting stepped on(eg teleports, dashing while he's busy doing something else), since although Foot Dive does have a dumb hitbox, it doesn't track.

Not starting that for a bit. Working on the Hulk one proper halted all of my other ideas so I'm gonna wait a while and get a bunch of other ideas done first.

@@swoletiger Get Helm Breaker'd son. Seriously though, the short answer is make sure whatever you're doing is meaty. There's a short window between a char coming in and the point they can act(other than block), even invul supers - hit a char during this and you can even get around stuff like Hard Drive. Strange SoV startup is 11 frames, Vergil Helm Breaker 13 frames, with no I-frames..meaning even if what you do isn't hitting them before they're allowed to act, they will just get stuffed for trying these things. In the case of Helm Breaker, you can even bait it by deliberately delaying your incoming so they get a few frames to press a button before you hit them; if they're mashing they'll get hit out of it. Just don't try that from within Vergil's grab range ofc, or you'll eat an airthow instead.

Irae said a lot good stuff already, but I think your question is one worth a video looking at it. Either I'll make it about Strange in particular, or just use him as an example among others.

Lol check the timestamps I got it right there. I forgot both of Haggar's moves in this vid haha. Tbf not everyone has been uber competitive or even had the chance to compete in tourneys to make the importance of knowing punishes hit home!

​@@SpartanThrone You don't have to compete in tournaments to know stuff like this. I know this stuff, and I've never competed in one tournament...yet. It's simple pattern recognition, my dear Spartson. Is it really fair to limit it to tournaments?

@@Frostbite12211983 I meant more that people play for fun most of the time, but when they start to get competitive and lose important games because of messing up punishes like this or not knowing them that's when people really start to sit up and pay attention.

@@cheef825 It helps to also know the names of the moves, or in this case, correctly identify. And I was correcting Spartan on a move name, that's it. What does everyone else have to do with anything? It's one thing to simply not know it, and another thing to get it wrong. And it doesn't matter if it's Justin Wong or Justin Whang. If it's incorrect, it's incorrect. No amount of appealing to authority is going to change that.
