I've seen Beyonce and other Western artists on stage dancing a Westernised variation of that Ethiopian head and shoulder shaking / rotating dance that the lady on stage in the brown attire did so well. I refer to Africa as "Great Grand Mother Africa" because she is where all human life began on this planet as we all share the same mitochondrial DNA which points to the fact that every human being on earth has ancestry that goes back to the same group of women in Sub-Saharan Africa often called Mitochondrial Eve. I think each person carried with themselves generation to generation a deep;y ingrained epigenetic attraction to African Dance and Music...the Africa Music that is the heartbeat of Great Grandmother Africa! #4 Sabar dance and music is from the Wolof people in Senegal and the Gambia.Features more complex dance moves than presented in this video and has three drums nder, mbeng mbeng, and Tungune.#1 Bata is Yoruba people from Nigeria, but Bata is also featured in Cuban culture with Santeria religion coming from Yoruban Ifa religion. Also Ifa is in Brazil and called Cundimble. The Bata drums are a set of three hourglass shaped drums called,Ilya ilu bata, omele abo bata, and omele ako.In Nigeria these drums are usually played with rawhide strips on each end.In Cuban culture these drums are played with the open hand.Bata drums and ceremony are considered to be spiritual/religious.
