We applied for PR. Got invitation for my family within 10 months. Landed in GTA in 2016. Stayed there for a one month vacation became PRs. Observed many things and spoken to many of my friends while I was there. Situation was pathetic in a nutshell. Went back to continue my job in Middle East. For 3 4 years I thought about what should we do. Should we move or not. Ultimately decided to let go the PR status & not Waste my savings on this PONZY scheme. Still working in Middle East and in Europe, family shifted back to India purchased a premium apartment a nice car. With our foreign savings I can easily retire in India - I'm still 39! Best decision ever!!!

I live in Canada and was a peer mentor at my college last year. I mentored a handful of international students who had been completing their programs remotely and were planning their move to Canada. After they lived here for a few months, they spoke to me about some of the issues you mention in your video. It was very disheartening to see people who were very excited to move here and be immediately crushed by the financial pressures and feelings of isolation. Even Canadians who are born and raised here (such as myself) feel the strain so I can only imagine how difficult it is for new immigrants. There are countless things I love about this country but I can't deny that the last decade or so has been rough here.

This guy just nailed it. I went to Canada, couldnt find a job, when I did taxes killed me, then winter killed me and then I left. Sorry is not for everyone...not for me obviously.

You didn’t even mention the worst part. The housing costs. Canada is extremely expensive and you don’t get much out of it. It’s becoming a progressively more miserable place to live

Canada was built by people facing harsh conditions and over coming them. If you think it's gonna be easy here, think again. If you come here, there is endless opportunity. You gotta hustle like anywhere else in the the world, but our system rewards hustle. That's what makes it great.

I moved from the UK to Canada 4 years ago and it has been the best decision I have ever made. Way more opportunities here than Europe and more money to be made. Also I don't mind putting up with the cold winter since the summer is so nice. I lived in England for 18 years and it was probably cloudy/rainy for 15 of those years 😅. Canada is a far safer and cleaner place to raise a family than just about anywhere in Europe

As Canadian, I agree with point 1 and 2, taxes can be really high. But, that is only if your salary is much more over the "average" (that depends on the province). A minimum salary of around 30k per year is not taxed very much, maybe 10%. But there is the sales tax, which is (depending on province) between 7 and 14%. However, some groceries are not taxed at all, vegetables, fruits, milk and some other products are considered "essential foods". Just note that the qualifier of "essential food" depends on the province; in fact the whole list is online at the government website, or if you need, do the research based on province. Also, note that the gasoline is much cheaper in Canada than Europe, and the price at the pump contains the taxes. However, to the point number 3: The weather might be a shock for somebody who didn't leave in a temperate country before moving to Canada, but other than the fact that the winter is a little longer than most European countries, it's not that bad. I'd say that January to April are the coldest months in Canada, living in Ontario or Quebec. Toronto (or Greater Toronto Area, as it's now called) is a little better than Montreal or Ottawa, to give you the names of a few of the most known cities in those provinces, but quite frankly, having too much heat is very dangerous also. It seems really bad with the big snow, but the big cities are cleaning up the main roads very quickly and efficiently during the big snowy events, so after living in Montreal and Ottawa and seeing Toronto in the winter, there is really only a problem with the cold, but I think, if you have winter tires and a battery in good condition, you'll pass the winter well. And -30 and even colder is actually very rare, I would say maybe 4-5 days per winter tops, and not always together. In general, the cold is around -10 to -20, and trust me, it's easy to get used to that. I personally like the snow, as this means it's not too cold (it's not snowing if it's colder than -10C). What is annoying is the "frozen rain" or "verglas", but then again, it's not a frequent occurence. This happens when it's almost 0 C, so at least it's not too cold. Living in a different area might be a lot different, but there is a reason that 99% of the people live in the temperate weather regions. Also, Vancouver, another big city on the West coast, is actually known for having very mild temperatures during the year, but there is a lot of rain, which I personally dislike, I'd rather have some snow. To the point 4, it's true that it's hard to understand how things are organized in Canada. First of all, the Health Ministers are only provincial, not federal, so each province are taking taxes for paying the healthcare system in their respective province. That means paying for building and maintenance of hospitals, salaries of doctors and nurses, and all the medicine necessary for the all the people in that province, and all the other things that are needed to run hospitals. When you go to the emergency room, or schedule an operation to a hospital, it doesn't cost anything. As opposed to, say, USA, where nothing is paid by taxes. The referals are not given by the hospitals, but by the "family doctor". It's not easy to find a family doctor. I waited almost 3 years till I found one, when I had issues, I would just go to the emergency room. Now, I call my family doctor, explain the situation, and schedule a visit if necessary, and he refers me to the specialist doctor. The family doctors are generalists, they know a lot about a lot of things, but they are not experts in any of the domains of medicine. They work away from hopsitals, in a medical clinic. They can prescribe medication if needed, but they cannot operate you in case you need it. They don't even have an operating room, so they can only send you to the right kind of doctor. I"m not saying this system is perfect, but I don't think there is such a thing. However, there are no medical bankrupcies like we see and hear in USA. The medication is not free, we usually have a private insurance provided through our jobs, or we can sign up a private one online. Also, dental services are not free. This is considered a personal choice, taking good care of your mouth. If there is anything I would change, this is it. The prices for dental implants are ridiculously high, I believe this should be regulated by the government. Point 5. It really depends of the region/city/province. There are places where rent is reasonable, but big cities with good prospects for jobs (like Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver) see the highest house or appartment prices, which in turn means higher rental prices. It's based on demand, like many other aspects of a capitalist system with a free market. That being said, the government usually helps people acquire a house, by various programs (newcomers, newly weds, first house, etc..) by allowing the people to put only a maximum of 5% down for the price, while the bank loans the rest of the money. I actually bought my house through a special program, with 0% down.... I started paying the mortage instead of the rent, and overnight, I was a home owner. To sum it up, there are a few things that could be changed in Canada to make it easier to live here, but there are others I wouldn't change. And this is just my opinion as an immigrant. I have been living here for the last 20 years, and I can say it was the best years of my life.

I don't think there's any place you can go that doesn't have reasons to leave. No place is perfect and no place is for everyone. But I'm sure if you had a choice between staying in Sudan vs Canada, you'll most likely choose Canada because it's better

These comments seem very reasonable and un-biased and I agree with the cons. However, there are lots of reasons to love the country. I think that no matter where you go, being a 1st generation immigrant will be a challenging experience.

This guy is 101% true. Healthcare in Canada is like, if you have vitals, you'll be waiting for atleast 6 hours in emergency before you get treated.

100% true!!!! All the factors mentioned are true. There are millions of Indians moving without knowing these facts. I live in Montreal I knew the CEO and I could easily get the job but other factors I am still facing issue, I had major sinus surgery due to extreme cold. I highly advise not to immigrate. Don't get into the peer pressure of settling abroad. India is better!!!

Born and raised in Canada...it's all true. Especially the medical wait times. It took me almost two years to find a general practitioner when I moved to Ottawa (otherwise you wait in overcrowded clinics where you never know which Dr you'll see). I also had to wait for almost a year to see an ear nose and throat specialist after being referred from my general Dr. It's cold and you're basically stuck inside for 1/3 of the year, wages are too low, property prices are too high. I'd like to go somewhere else. Things could be worse, but I'm not really happy here.

I'm Canadian, born and raised. I'd recommend against moving to Canada long term, especially BC and Ontario. The economy is terrible and the housing market is really screwed up. If you plan to get into the trades or engineering I'd recommend moving directly west to where the oil is, there's good employment out there.

As a Canadian, you are completely right. We are essentially gouged in every way. I've forcefully paid into CCP for 15 years and it's not even guaranteed. A 250g box of cereal is 4.99. It's ridiculous.

Taxes here in canada depends on the amount you get per year ( The corresponding bottom Canadian bracket stays at 15% until $47,630 ) , some places in different provinces have different prices for food ( ex: Québec 1 gallon 2% milk $6.86 and in ottawa Ontario $4.86 ) , same for rents , I pay $850 a month for 2 bedrooms appartement all included ( fridge, stove , water , electricity) but if you go into ottawa across Ontario border you will pay almost $1500 to $2000 all depends where you live , ex: same appartement like mine in the city of shawanigan , Québec you would pay $400 to $500 , some of the worst city for high prices that I seen personally are (( montreal , Québec city , ottawa , Toronto , Vancouver

I lived in Canada six months of my life a few years ago on a tourist visa. The country is huge, beautiful and lots of nature. Toronto is vibrant, like a mini New York, Montreal is nice and French and Vancouver liked it but too rainy and Asian. I got nothing against Asians, but the city is too Korean or Chinese. But life is not easy there as everywhere, you need to work hard to achieve sth. But, one thing I noticed is, the Jews, whites and Chinese were the richest. I worked in black in Toronto, was homeless for a while too, met people from all walks of life, hustled, worked in Alberta, Calgary and Edmonton, I was playing in casino sometimes, lost and won money, travelled the west and experienced Rocky Mountains, saw a big bear there. It was an amazing adventure overall. I am in Europe now, and I been to 57 countries so far, and lived in 10. Travelling is the best thing...

It's easier for some than others. The Intl Experience Program (work holiday visa etc) is only available for people from some countries. If you're from smaller countries you have to wait on a job offer to even apply for work permit and getting a job in your field is tied to factor in points for immigration. The best route is basically school and that's expensive

As a Canadian, I'd also add that the job qualifications are generally much stricter here to an extent that pushes a lot of people away. For example, if you have a medical license in Japan or South Korea, not only are you ineligible to practice in Canada, but in many cases you need to redo premed as well. The course requirements and general expectations at university for career paths like medicine, engineering, law, translation, and several other fields are also considerably stricter than in most other countries. It also involves a lot more hands-on experience than is generally the global norm

As a Canadian I can say the biggest benefit living in Canada is - there is a sense of safety and serenity that few other countries can match. It is not the most exciting place to live but there is a peace living here. You feel at ease. Crime is very low and the country not at all perfect - seems to blend harmonious living amongst its people more perfectly than most countries. Sure it is cold, but for the reason I stated above - people will sacrifice year round nice weather for simply a peaceful and secure place to live. Like most Western countries, it is expensive but at the end of the day, the CAD dollar has good buying power against Indian currency -meaning you can still help the family back home tremendously and in life changing ways for them whilst building a good, peaceful, safe and serene place for yourself and your immediate family.

Hi there, Dutch in Canada here. Referrals from your GP for Specialists are the norm in the Netherlands as well, since forever. If you go for a drive in winter ALWAYS carry blankets extra gloves and hats and maybe even some form of heater.. Even if it's "just" a 35 minutes drive. This especially in the lesser inhabitated parts, e.g. outside GTA.

As a duel British/Canadian, I can honestly say, both countries pose challenges for new immigrants. It doesn't matter where you move, it's always going to tough moving to a new country.

Health care is not free. You pay for it in your taxes. Waiting for surgeries is endless. And you cannot see specialists without GP requisition. Rent/ mortage takes 50% of your income. In any developed country is not more then 30%.

Tipping is not tax. But your tax rate can go higher than 50% depending of your income and in which province you live.

Brazilian friend who lived in USA had difficulty making friends in Canada. He is an extrovrrt and a feeler, it's not hard for him to make friends.

What I think what needs to happen is realistic expectations , the streets here are not pavedin gold, we have a housing crisis where for many obtaining the dream of an affordable home is next to impossible. As well the profession in a former country the person will have to upgrade their credentials to Canadian education standards to proceed in working in their field in many cases. A good example would be an Electrician let's say from another country. Our food prices are also very high average family of 4 it will cost 250 dollars a week for groceries, most who arrive will start with menial minimum wage jobs, minimum wage is only 15dollars an hour. Also if one needs to learn English that is also a difficulty to overcome. Also there will be the obvious culture shock for many, study the laws of Canada, specifically women's rights for example, may seemed biased statement but sadly in many countries women do not experience the same rights I grew up with and that is a cultural thing in many cases. I am the gr granddaughter of an immigrant, they had to start from nothing, worked the land so to speak, but generations later I am thankful for their sacrifices.

i was born and raised in canada its a great country but for economic reasons i would not advise anyone move here unless they have a specialized in demand skill. to put it simply 24 percent of the canadian economy is wrapped up in the over inflated real estate market, we have priced the lower class out of trades, the cost of living is obscene, taxes as mentioned in the video. it is not fiscally responsible to immigrate here right now unless you have a high paying specialized job lined up already and even then i wouldnt be surprised if the economy collapsed in the next couple years.

If you want success in Canada, then learn a trade. We have an oversupply of degree holders. Don’t expect to get into IT, it’s very competitive for example. But skilled trademans, construction, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, we have an extreme under supply. This is from decades of Liberals bringing in college students and pushing everyone to college. Reality is we don’t need more people with degrees in psychology. We need people that can build stuff with their hands. You can earn $75-90k a year within 2 years if you pick a solid trade. Then with industry experience, you can become a contractor and make some serious money, $200-500k+ per year.

I'm a Canadian, born and raised. For those who are thinking of moving to Canada, this video is accurate. We pay an exorbitant amount of taxes and our healthcare is terrible. Although there are pros to living in Canada, this video gives fair examples of Canada's downsides.

Been living in Canada for 11 years now. I have to say most of the points are right but ultimately the advantages outweigh the disadvantages in my opinion. Would be best to present both pros and cons in one video so people are not misled. For point 1, I don't really agree. We cannot generalize like this. It depends on your field of work, and your abilities - not just fancy qualifications or resume but can you do the job and can you show that in interviews. I've interviewed lots of people who seem overqualified on paper but in reality it's a different story. For software engineers for example, there's lots of vacancy but you need to be good to get in the best work places. For other jobs maybe there's shortages. But that's true around the world. You have to look at what's in demand and tailor your skills accordingly. Can't just expect the job market to work for you as an individual. Taxes are too high yes. I agree. But the flip side of the coin is with the money I'm left with, I can have a better life than if I lived in other countries with lower tax rates (e.g India or Mauritius). There's always caveats. Generalizations are overrated.

The reason why referrals are needed to see specialists is because in universal health are systems, such as in the UK and Canada, it would be too costly on the taxpayer if everyone had direct access to a specialist for every minor illness. That's why family doctors are the frontline doctors who are educated in the field of medicine to determine when a patient requires treatment from a specialist and when they do not. Health are isn't being denied in this case, it's just that it's being balanced against the reality of cost.

it is really difficult to make any point based on one's experience, it is all very judgemental. I moved to Canada 6 years ago and hated it first 4 years, perhaps due to the fact I was moved by my employer to Vancouver. I read about it, how great it is and how livable it is - to be completely honest I never suffered in any place of this world as in this pretentious city. I did not struggle at all, company paid for all my expenses, including 3 bed room apt. for 5k/month in downtown, but overall atmosphere there was horrible, specifically people - never saw anyone so passive-aggressive and generally arrogant and ignorant. I lived in London, NYC, Singapore and Dubai before, so can compare to various parts of the world. I moved to Edmonton after and absolutely loved it, Albertans are super friendly in general and my social life and wellbeing improved a lot. I guess there are so many factors whether your move is successful or not. But there are some objective things I can relate as very overcooked: 1) Canada tax system is OK, since it is socialistic state, but what is very unfair and not working properly is how many wealthy people are cheating the system, especially "foreign investors" from Asia, I know tons of Chinese in Vancouver living in mansions and driving tesla's with zero income in their tax return. Government just is closing their eyes for some reason and when some one wants to bring it up - it will immediately trigger "asian hate" thing and it goes to nowhere. Because of that, honest people who work hard are feeling desperate as paying 37% marginal tax on income over 150k is not fair in this case. 2) Overall Government services are horrible, just like in USSR - time for processing anything is insanely long with shit quality. It raises a question why do we pay such high taxes? 3) Lack of culture, diversity and arts, mostly because it is a little bit American, sort of "fast food" mind set in life so there is no demand for quality things. Also it is not an international destination, so when Canadians refer themselves as diverse, I laugh a bit as it is no close to any major hubs of this world, even not close to USA. Otherwise it is not a bad place to be at all, specifically for average person as inequality rate is low in Canada and it is quite peaceful as of today.

I was born & raised in this country but, half of my family immigrated here. I found this video interesting & informative. I have American friends who find Canada a very expensive country in which to live & I agree whole heartedly. Regarding jobs, Canada has always had a shortage of trades people & have had to bring them in from other countries. They earn great money. Is it just that they don't have Ph.D, B.A., M.S. after their name? Some of those people are unemployed while Trades people are always working & earning a very good living.

Depression is a very real thing in Canada. If you can put up with about three to four months of snow and freezing temperatures. SAD Seasonal Affective Disorder has affected me since I moved from the UK. I feel trapped in my home for the winter months. I’ll be leaving Canada before I retire in three years time.

Salary is lower as well in Canada too, as a programmer, I was paid 110K CAD , my Salaly in India was about 35K CAD equivalent at the time. With 110K CAD didn't really manage well in Canada (Toronto). I Came back after 4 years my salary is 100K CAD equivalent, Thanks to experience and opportunities in Canada.

Living in Canada for 20 years and regret for moving here everyday. He is true to every word he spoke. If you are a pauper like me and have no hope in India then move to Canada. If you have little inheritance just stay in India as things are looking bright in India. Canada is an inhospitable land for humans to live year round.

People forget where they came from. Last time I felt ungrateful to the better life that the new country had given me, I took a trip to India, and very quickly I was surrounded with the reminders of everything that made me desperate to leave India. I’m sure, many people coming from the other third world countries will have a similar feeling.

My brother moved in to Canada a couple of years back and he is very happy and satisfied. He has got two cars, a 3500 sqft detached home and a wonderful life at the age of 30. I am sure he wouldn’t have achieved this in India.I visited him last year and he is well settled. So in short, experiences differ from person to person.

I can suggest one more point by living in Canada since 5 years. IT jobs are paid higher than any other management jobs. Some management jobs are hard, tough and complex, but still paid half the amount of IT jobs. Now a days due to more immigrants moving in, even IT jobs are being tough to get. Also, most companies asks for Canadian job experience to get a job.

You are so right... I married a french Canadian who lives with me in east Europe and now, after 5 years she does not even want to hear about moving back to Canada... Most Canadians do not realized al they lost in the last 30 years (l lived in Canada for 27 years myself). Here, you do not have to wait on getting a family doctor, if you need to see one, just make a call and announce yourself for later the same day. Kindergartens for kids free with people that got a college degree in working with kids, 365 days of weather that doesn't want to kill you, at most 20 minutes away of anything, $10 flights anywhere in Europe where you have a chance to see, eat, hear and experience a complete new culture and language... but in the end, the weather and over taxation (for bad roads and a pitiful health system) is what make living in Canada a real challenge.

I totally understand your perspective, however I have some food for thought. Basically the points mentioned in the Video are not exclusive to Canada - in-fact they're there everywhere in one way or another.... I think we should look at the benefits that outweigh the handicaps rather than focusing on the negatives... 1. For the "job" market Demand is less than supply? Shouldn't it be the other way around - More demand for jobs and less supply? Or maybe you meant there are more supply of "talent" and less demand? - Plus processes vary from job to job - I've sat for 11 rounds of interview at one of my jobs in China. 2. Tax rates, as published by the Federal income tax dept. says, are in salary brackets - with the highest bracket i.e. over 200K CAD is 33% averagely. If you include sales tax and health care etc , that's living expenses - Economics doesn't include these as part of your income tax. Sweden has a 64% tax rate, China 32%, India 32%... get my drift? I think in Canada you at least get back what you pay in taxes. 3. Weather... really? Delhi sees temperatures of over 40ºC in summer, Beijing -20ºC in winter, Singapore has rains all year long. 4. Healthcare - Lines can be daunting and in finding a good doctor hard - but look at the US healthcare system... The no. of patients standing in lines in India... Point is.. it's chaotic everywhere - even a place like Japan, where the healthcare system is supposedly perfect. And when you talk about referrals - i think it's more from the GP referring you to a specialist. And you'll def. find a doctor late at night if you visit the emergency, even in Canada

When I was working in USA my employer had health insurance from Kaiser Permanente, I was not feeling well so my colleague drove me to Kaiser facility. The doctor checked for a couple of hours and gave a advise which came true after 3 years when returned back to Canada. But in Canada doctors esp. in walk-in clinics do not do any tests, they simply swipe your card first time you visit and get more money for first visit. They do nothing not even basic medical tests or blood work. I ended up in emergency room had to waste 1 year of my career to build the health again. Total garbage and they don't even let private hospitals or clinics to form. This is like killing people and this pandemic is adding up to all of that making things even worse for non-covid diseases. In the name of pandemic doctors and nurses and all medical staff except in hospitals are relaxing and having fun with families. It took 2 months to get a physical examination from a family doctors, who knows the person might die in the two months before even seeing doctor. A doctor never loses his license for killing a patient with his dereliction but a doctor will lose his license when a woman patient complains her doctor touched her inappropriately during physical examination. And then they ask you to authorize to pay Amway deductions from pay cheque. But still people pay 13% tax and 15 to 45% tips on food in restaurants, how?. During this pandemic record number of savings are seen in bank accounts because people are not spending on travel and luxuries. From where that money is coming. How people afford 1.4 million dollar homes. Something is definitely wrong in Canada. What Canada lack is no evenness in jobs, some keep making big bucks and some have no incomes. That is what we call racism. Canada's health care system is garbage. This is what Canada, avoid it.

If people come from poor or middle class family, Canada is heaven for them. Upper middle class and rich have better life back home.

All about perspective. We immigrated as poor immigrants and now own 7 properties. Many immigrants want their dream job straight away. Sometimes you need to do what is in demand in the country first before settling into what you want. That is It all comes down to understanding how to navigate the system. The country has it's challenges but I wouldn't live anywhere else. 🙂

4. Referrals as in, Doctor Referred you to another Doctor. Not some patient referring in hospital.

Clarifying healthcare points - yes, waitimes are HUUUUGE and a big issue (depending on the speciality u seek) but...referrals are from family doc -> specialist, made based on your medical case and condition NOT based on "person I know" or "family" (ofc these might be happening but it is not the norm)....and referrals are needed for specialists not for family docs (i.e. primary point of care physician), so if you feel sick and need a doc, you go to a family doc and if they think you need more specialized care, then they refer you to a specialist, this ensures that the speciality care is given to those who most need it, making the system very efficient - this is a different system from many countries but if the wait times were reduced, it would be a very good one.

i will give you a list why someone leave canada after having permanent residency also. 1) High taxes low income 2) Extremely expensive compared to other english countries. 3) On avg 50% income will goes to just rent/ housing. 4) Very harsh weather only couple of months of summer in a year. 5) No social life lot of loneliness. people are very quiet but not rude as americans. 6) everything is far ,far and far isolated inspite of living in same country you may not able to meet family r frnds more than once a year. 7) ppl think PR is everything bt most of ppl do menial jobs even after getting passport also. 8) Not many white collar jobs canada needs only labours and india is biggest exporter. 9) you can't save money in canada infect i hav seen ppl living in other english countries have big big bungalows in india but not one who lives in canada make big properties in india. 10) it's debt nation for sure one will always be in debt forced to buy credit. 11) no transportation between cities you have to own a car or take a expensive flight ticket. in fact transportation is heart of a country. 12) Food is all GMO and standards are low compared to european countries. 13) Too many asians created filth in canada by misusing tax system/ labours in fact indians are leading in it. 14) students who invest 20-25 lakhs for studies fall into debt trap and can't repay loan in 4-5 years also. 15) Health care is a biggest joke in canada you will be lucky if you alive untill your appointment turns up. 16) health care is just free but it's never be on your reach .you have to wait years to for surgeries most indians come to india for medical treatment if canada health care is great then why they have to visit india for treatment ..? 17) canadian english is very poor compared to other english countries there's no any accent. one can speak hindi/punjabi can get a job easily. 18) punjabis always think canada is a heaven but it's not most of them work in menial jobs. those who own big farms n building they made money by abusing employees by stealing workers wages. 19) LMIA is just a scam no employer will pay money as stated on contract. it's a modern day slavery closed work permit. 20) you ll be away from family :friends can't visit india once in a year also because so expensive tickets and no savings totally it's a shame when you visit india seeing the people who make so much wealth here in india. 21) india is not great than canada but nowadays wages are really good in india.

I love Canada, been here all my life.. but you are correct the immigration system is a mess. People who have 2 M assets, no problem fast track. But for the rest it's a labyrinth. My friends tell me that a student visa is the best way to start the process.

I have stayed for 7 years in canada. living in Canada is great for some one who is not happy in their country. After staying here you ll start feeling the same soon or later as you might have felt in your country. bad weather, no value for education from other countries, your experience in other country doesn't matter here, canadin experience is what employers are looking for. Healtcare is worse…..long waiting…too much tax…only labour jobs

In one’s opinion where would be the ideal place to immigrate? I live in Canada and struggle with a lot the points on here. Cost of living is extremely high and getting worse by the day. Also the as much as we do have very nice summers the winters are just too long.

As a Brit moving to Canada this year, these are like non issues in comparison to the issues in the UK

Ask that person who complained about Canada health care to come to India and pay the same amount of tax and see what he gets in India. These types of people should stay back in India

If you want to make a lot of money in 7-15 years - Go to US. If you want stability - Go to Canada.

If your desires are solely based on your needs and not on any other factors in your life, you will always be happy. No need to travel to some foreign land unnecessarily to struggle and waste your life. Try to find happiness around your loved ones. That will be enough to keep yourself happy throughout your life.

I was born in Vancouver and I was three when my parents moved back to their country, only to return to Vancouver 15 years later. We all left again after 6 years. Canada is hard country to live in. Uni and college and other private course are expensive. An oracle DBA course was 14$k in 1999. If you want to be a pilot you must have a uni degree. You must have references all the time, job and school application grade you also on volunteer work. Housing was exorbitantly expensive in Vancouver. I found Montreal a much better place to live. My dad said the Canada had really gotten worse during his absence. My parents moved the second time to give us a better future an while I have fond memories of my tenure, friends, trips,weather education I did leave. The infrastructure is far more advanced and I include public services such as pools and libraries...but all and all it wasn't worth it.. Vancouver has somewhat of an ethnic imbalance due to Asians moving in. Now Canada is the home of migrants, in the past it was Italians and so forth. My school was 75% Asian. What bothered me was the policy which allowed them to buy their way in. Many of my class mates were left alone in million$$ homes and rich bank accounts.they were disconnected from reality. For them Canada was just a safe haven where to park cash. On the health care system. My father waited for a simple exam for months. Thankfully he had nothing but people do die on waiting lists. My sister underwent surgery and the level of incompetence was baffling. A colleague visited Vancouver in 2018 and I was excited to tell her how beautiful it was. Upon her return she told me about the rampant homelessness and degradation. It's been 20 years since we left and I know what my father would say

It needs a lot of strength to show the reality. You are doing a good job. People have gone crazy for Canada and their mind have gone mad and not ready to listen to cons...
