Bus service is so so. Cab drivers are at times too greedy, some take you for a tour of the city running up the meters. Yellow Cab is the most honest. Never take cabs from the airport stick with the airport limos.

I since growing up have always recommended people when they are about to buy a house or move into a neighborhood to go and hang out whether in their car or you know getting out of the car and talking to people but at different times of the day and different times of the week like what is the average Tuesday night like for a Friday night at 1:00 in the morning to me that is very important to know and it is a deal breaker

@@ELIDABEASTELIJAHULYSSE yeah if you want to ride anything besides the bus but the bus will take you pretty much anywhere in Norfolk not the other surrounding cities but Norfolk yeah

Norfolk is not New York City where EVERY bridge and tunnel has a toll on it. The Norfolk Tides are entertaining. ODU spent a lot of money improving the sports facilities there

Make sure they don't fake you out with the wiring! They install new outlets and new wiring for about a foot back, the rest of that line is knob and tube! don't only drive through the area during the day light hours! Once everyone gets off work for the day if you aren't the first one home you'll be walking a block because someone else is parked in front of your house!

I've lived in Norfolk my entire life and I wouldn't say that an SUV is necessary 😄 Downtown and parts of Norfolk are prone to flooding during hurricanes/storms but avoiding those areas during the storm is sufficient. We don't get those very often.

@@mariahworkman4129 Anywhere downtown like Brambleton Ave, Church Street, Colley Ave, the Hague and near the hospital. Some places on Tidewater Drive near downtown are prone. Also any underpasses downtown should be avoided during storms. All of these areas are you usually clearer within 2-4 hours after a heavy storm.

Is it all city there? Any Boulders? ... I was researching a missing Wytheville man and was blown away by the missing adult cases from Norfolk. Apparently, it's been going on since the 80's. Norfolk has as many missing people cases as most states do. & Its not well known. Like, no big deal. Lol what's going on there?

If you like the nightlife, I would suggest Ghent/Downtown. It's more pricey but there's a lot to do (museums, clubs, restaurants, theater ect.). If you like suburban tyle living, there's a lot to choose from. If you like the beach there's Bayview, Oceanview and Little Creek.

to Norfolk or the surrounding areas? There are nicer/quieter areas outside of Norfolk. Pls don't go to Portsmouth, just don't. I'd rather live in a quieter area and drive to a fun spot than live by a fun spot.

Norfolk now has a larger homeless population. Norfolk is voting democratic like Portsmouth so expect higher taxes and more homeless. People go where the services are. If Norfolk provides services then people will go there.

@@xavierowens8032 worst is a word w/ myriad of meanings, coming from a parentheses bad parentheses neighborhood teaches you about people and the training that you get from being around those people will send you to jail but the learning experience in jails in prisons teach you that no matter what class people are in there are still 8 or 10 different types

Coming from the bottom for some reason is where all the grapes are born if you notice there really aren't that many people throughout history that changed things that were from the top the struggle and the fire it takes to get from the bottom to being recognized at all is what makes winners one in a million types do you think Tom Brady would have ever done what he did if he had been drafted in the first round I don't think so

if you are a realtor than why are you persuading folks not to move to Norfolk, Virginia. You might want to interview some of the firms in Downtown Norfolk working towards coastal resiliency, solutions are actually in the works. Unlike other cities that have fallen to unfortunate circumstances theres a lot at stake for Norfolk, it will evolve and exist as an example. #walkinghouses

@@757CitiesReppa I mean yah, every where got it's ups and downs but you can't knock someone for wanting to know if the negatives outweigh the positives or vice versa, for instance, someone from NYC may wanna move to Atlanta, before moving obviously they gonna study all the good and bad that area has to offer because making a good decision is kinda important, and not everyone has enough patience to stick around in their hometown to wait for shit to improve, why not move to a city that's already better
