Great video, Chris. I do wonder is people are getting paranoid about battery fires over night while charging in the their garage? Some folks have lost their entire homes. What are your thoughts on the risk. Thanks, buddy.
While I do perform my own personal checks to make sure everything appears normal while charging, such as feeling the portable charger for excessive warmth, paying attention to any odd smells, etc., I have don't think much about it on a day to day basis. I did have this Lightning over Thanksgiving, though, and while we were away from home for a few days, I parked it outside -- just in case. 😅 But that's primarily because I don't know the history of these cars since they aren't mine. After saying all that, I guess it is something I keep in mind in the back of my head, but I don't worry too much about it when I can keep tabs on it. Overall, I'd own an EV, but my family travels too much to buy one just yet. One day, though. Hope this helps and, as always, thanks for watching!
Ha! Their EVs are great. And one day I may own an EV, but my family drives A LOT, so I want a few more things in place before I do (infrastructure, Level 2 home charger, etc.). Thanks for watching!
