I deleted Facebook and Instagram before Christmas and I have SO much time! Our days are so calm, I have time to rest and have picked up sewing! It’s truly life giving! I do enjoy RU-vid too, I am inspired by many Christian homemakers - it’s a way I can be inspired but can do that while doing something productive (listen while cleaning) etc!
Me too ! I think that RU-vid is the best thing that's come out of all of this internet technology. I don't do Face Book anymore (quit ages ago)...massive time stealer, to me anyway. I already have enough other distractions without adding that in as well 😀😀.
Good points on living this life God has given us! And I get the trap of Instagram with always needing to post - but you’re right the perks of RU-vid are there
I totally agree. I’ve never had accounts on social media. On RU-vid I generally just listen to , I rarely watch something. I’m older than you but I’m happy to learn from you.

I am a Christian Mother of 4 Children and Been Married for 27 Years! Our Children are 24,22,17 and 16. I started watching RU-vid about 3 1/2 years ago. It was Shortly before this That The Lord Really started to Show Me, So Much About Being a Submissive Wife, A Homemaker! What it Really looks Like to Me A True Biblical Woman! This Was Through The KJV Bible( True Word). Any Way I do have a Few Biblical Women’s Channels I Watch, Yet I Really Pray About Limiting My Time. I Have Been Thinking 🤔 about the Second thing You Said, for like a week! The Exact Words! Stop Watching Other People Live Their Lives, So I Can Live My Life! I Missing Out on What Jesus has for Me! So Many other Reasons Why! One Last Thing, The Channel “Gems and Pearls With Love” has been encouraging!

My struggle with Instagram is that I follow a lot of parenting pages that gives helpful advice with how to handle tantrums and what to say to your child about certain situations. I always save the posts so I can remember, but it honestly makes me feel like I need to have the perfect way of saying things to my children. Anyone else struggle with this??
Absolutely! Sometimes those posts can give me so much encouragement and sometimes I feel like ‘I’ll never do it well enough’. So definitely make sure you follow account that you learn from and not accounts that make you feel like a bad mother! 🧡
I felt convicted recently of the same thing. So now I only have a certain time of day when I allow myself on social media (if I even feel like it.) it’s during a time when my kids are at school and my husband is at work. So when they are home I am not on it. Love this video, I wish more people would understand this. 💕👏🏻
I have not been on instagram in years and recently got it because I was curious. Goodness... it feels weird and foreign to me all these moms posting all the time.. sharing their children and little snippets throughout the day. Must be exhausting to always be in creation mode. Also: RU-vid feels like that to me too. Instagram feels incredibly competitive and overwhelming!! Love youtube because it feels more slow paced and detailed ❤
