It's my birthday today! Instead of a present, if you liked this video - please share it with your friends! To enter the competition to win Loony Quest, like this video, subscribe to the channel and post a comment below.
I don't know if anyone has pointed this out or if you already knew it but I thought I would comment on the name of Telestrations. You said in the video "it's Chinese whispers with pictures". Here in America we call that game "Telephone" instead of "Chinese Whispers" and that's where Telestrations gets its name. It's a portmanteau of Telephone and Illustrations. Fun fact.
I'm starting to repeat myself but you're getting so good at these! The humor you can find withing these crazy characters yet still give interesting information about board games... :) Anyway that Fake artist looks really nice - like a drawing version of Spyfall.
Please, continue to repeat yourself! :) I had a lot of fun with this one, found some characters I liked. Fake Artist is very much Spyfall the drawing game. Probably should have said that in the vid!
The winner of the Loony Quest competition is James Bitmead! For everyone who didn't win, check out my latest video The Board Game Song for the chance to win Dead of Winter: The Long Night! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kj0GDeS4A1c.html
I love these videos! Entertaining rather than dry, and even as someone who plays all kinds of games there are always new and very cool things to be found within.
my wife and I love games, and we first know of your videos by searching for good couples games. We stumbled with your video and really enjoyed. Patchwork became our favorite.
I really appreciate the characters and storylines built into these videos. I don't know if the character arcs have much to do with the games or genres, but it doesn't really matter since it's entertaining!
I've been lurking on some of your other videos. I really like drawing games and dexterity games, but I don't think they're really explored by many reviewers. I appreciate your reviews of groups of similar games, as well as the dark humor. Best of luck on future videos!
That was fantastic! The teacher character had me cracking up! I had not heard of most of those games, I'm excited to try them out though as my collection has a stark lack of drawing games.
Everyone has a great time with Telestrations After Dark and Fake Artist whenever we play. Duplik sounds really interesting. Thanks for the recommendations again!
Looney Quest is very similar to "Yoshi's Fruit Cart", a minigame from "Nintendo Land" which my partner adores. Looney Quest wasn't even on my radar, but I might have to check it out.
Happy birthday good sir! Go out for a craft beer, haha! Another great video John! Have played "A Fake Artist Goes To New York", good game. Glad to see it in this video!
I added 2 out of 5 of these to my wishlist. i have telestrations after dark and its hilarious fun its neat to get family to play that version because they get so embarrassed. i would say I'm most excited about "duplik", thanks for an exceptional video!
THE CHANNEL IS GROWING BIGGER AND BIGGER. I CAN IMAGINE THE CHANNEL BEING AWARDED WITH THE MOST SUBSCRIBERS AND WITH MORE CHARACTERS ESPECIALLY MORE .......... WIGS
Man - this video is such a blast ! You managed to top it even though your other videos are already pretty awesome ! You're on fire ! P.S: I am glad you didn't talk about Concept..
This video caught my eye because I actually LOVE Pictionary but my husband hates it. I actually think most of our game group is split 50-50. I think of these we'd really enjoy Telestrations and Duplik the most so I'll put those on my to-buy list :)
I have Pictomania and it is definitely one of my favorite games. The bit about Terrence drawing phallic objects reminded me of the time my friend brilliantly drew a "dic"tionary!
I've played telestrations before with invented newspaper headlines! It's great! Fake Artist and Loony Quest both look good - I'm sure there's a resource of good words for a fake artist somewhere.
That sounds great! I definitely feel like the Telestrations cards could up the crazy a bit. I like the idea of coming up with your own unique answers, where the potential of what the drawing could be has a much larger scope.
Brilliant. Thank you for the incredible effort that you put into these videos. They are useful and entertaining. Happy birthday. Hope you find some fun things to do in celebration!
Pretty cool. I might actually pick up a couple of these. I like a lot of the same board games, but it's tough to get new people into that unfamiliar territory like Betrayal at House on the Hill. Something like Telestrations or Pictomania might ease them into thinking outside the mass-market box.
The challenge for every game host - trying to serve up the right menu for the specific players. These days I usually have a good idea, but definitely get it wrong now and again!
Will Marcus ever get a date with Emilia? Will Alex be scarred for life after the gallery exhibition? Does Terrence have a job anymore? If only there was another 5 artistic games I could base another video around...
