Thanks for the video, this was really helpful. I realize I am not ready for that type of maintenance and long term commitment. I'm used to doing my own hair so I can't see myself on a schedule...not enough patience. But they cute!!!!
You and your hair are beautiful and you are the reason I was inspired to get sisterlocks. Thank you so much for sharing information, I'm so pleased to be on this journey - it's so convenient and easy and natural and beautiful.
Hey!!! I saw your second pic on the right of your thumbnail online! It’s one of the reasons I decided to start my microlocs on my channel 4 months ago! Thank you ☺️ 🥰☺️🥰 I was so excited when I saw this thumbnail!
And you have to sign an agreement in order to make the appointment that pictures taken during the appointment may be used on social media 😳. I’m a potential customer who just wants to get my hair done, not sign my right to privacy away. Lol
I am almost finished taking mine down they looked like crap for 6 years and I was sick of combining from thinning I was at the point it was like grid who sisterlocks where
I use to wear mini twist for about two years and I really enjoyed them. I am considering getting sisterlocks latley but I want to find someone who is good and has plenty of knowledge of the health and upkeep
I'm getting sisterlocked 03/14/2019 & I can't wait. It's costing me $750. 😱 BUT I DON'T CARE!!!!!😂 I love my locitian, I love her little studio room and I love her. I did much-needed researcher and I decided on her. Not only that her sister locks are on point.
I am just coming across your channel today. It’s hard to believe that I have not seen you before in my Sisterlocks searches. I am a #newsubscriber who is documenting my journey on RU-vid and did not ask most of the questions listed in your description. However I have a dynamic consultant/loctition.
I want them , cause I think I would like them . And they are so beautiful on many ppl . I did a lots of research on them And for me I always like pinch braids
i had regular locs in middle school but because i got them too big (i wanted to be like my mom) they broke and i got loc extensions the summer before 8th grade. i got a dominican summer 2018 and so much of my hair broke. it was my first time getting my hair professionally straightened and i couldn't have chosen a worse place. at this point i go between wanting to shaving it all off to growing it out to locing to just straightened it and letting it break again. that dominican really ruined my confidence in myself and my hair care abilities. the only reason i'm not bald right now is because my mom won't let me make rash hair decisions lol. i just wish i could go back to right after i took out the loc extensions. i've never felt so cute in my life.
I am looking to get sisterlocks and this video is helpful, I am doing my research now, nervous about finding the right person. What questions should I ask to make sure they actually know what their doing?
That’s a tricky question for me lol because my mom started mine but pictures of previous work definitely helps a lot. I think experience is worth more than just being able to answer questions because trust me I sometimes get questions that no one has the answer to. They should know how to properly guide you to care for your hair after it’s done and just find someone that you feel is honest.
BeautyBy 4cMe I’ve had sisterlocks for 15 years as well as my mom has been doing locs for that long so from experience. Anything that’s mentioned in my videos are my opinion and experience.
Yes, just remember, the longer the hair, the more the cost. My daughter was going to get sisterlocks, and her hair is to her shoulders so the locitian was going to charge me $900. But unfortunately, she changed her mind about getting them so we never went back to have them installed.
You can do microlocs. Sisterlocks is also a lot about the lifestyle. Microlocs has a similar look to Sisterlocks but isn't as expensive and can be started with other methods such as twists etc.
i think im convinced I want to do this, it's just timing at this point, I want to invest in this lifestyle change , so taking my time to do the research and weighing the pros and cons are very important for me. Thanks for this vid my dear you locks are lovely
I wouldn’t say unravelling but my ends definitely got puffy and undone a bit. I originally had thinner ends which I used to love so that’s one thing I don’t like abt it. The first time I cut my hair, the ends weren’t as puffy as this second time.
You could have used a more positive title than the one you choose.... instead of "5 reasons why sisterlocs may not be for you", you could have said " 5 things to consider before getting sisterlocs" SPEAK LIFE!!!
