It’s extremely refreshing. I notice how the people who pick the Celtics to win go into X’s and O’s, strategy and other schemes. People who pick the Mavs are basically “tAtUm iS a cHoKer” and “LuKa iS Him, cELtiCs tRAsH.”
Most talking heads favor the Mavs while Vegas favors the Celtics. I would personally go for the system designed to make money and uses analytics to come to their conclusions than a bunch of networks whose job is to create storylines.
vegas does not make money for getting things right. Vegas makes money on the spread between the bets, and making sure enough money is on each side that no matter the outcome, they still come out ahead

Celtics will put luka in every single pick and roll they run - they have been so good all season at hunting matchups. I think it will be quite similar to their regular season meeting where luka dominated but the Cs were able to shut down the supporting cast and end up winning the series
It's about playing the right way, and making things difficult for Kyrie and Luka but don't pay attention to them all night long because it will open the door for the role players on Dallas to get going.
As a celtics fan i hope to see a lot of JB and JT on Luka. Jrue is big enough but not tall enough to bother Luka on a level where it will significantly impact him. But we have seen in multiple games that JB can really bother Luka and make his life hell defensively. I have no issue seeing D-White guarding ky or djj, especially on the perimeter. If KP is back, celtics can switch most actions but also all of their guys are so good on navigating screens and reading plays. On the offensive side, the celtics 5 out lineup will be problematic for dallas as they havent faced a team built like this yet. And we've seen how well the J's can go at Luka after switches and tire him out. Same with ky. I honestly think the celtics will wrap this up in 5/6 if they manage to shutdown everyone around Luka and consistently attack him on offense.

That Spurs team was not an outlier. Extremely stacked. The 73-9 Warriors didn't clinch home court advantage until there were like 5 games left in the season because of how good the Spurs were. They had a great team the year before then added Lamarcus Aldridge for nothing.

Switch 1-though-5. Switch 1-through-4 with the big man in drop. 2-3 Zone. 2-1-2 Spy Zone. Throwing Ice covering on side PnRs. Using Tatum as a roamer. Putting Tatum as the rim protector with Porzingis roaming Having Brown guard Doncic and then switching the PnR and having Holiday jump onto him. Tatum providing gap help Horford & Porzingis will be hunted. If they play Prichard he'll get hunted. I don't think Jrue can stop Luka but I do think Jrues addition has inspired the entire team to play better defense. People are worried about Brown guarding Luka getting beat down running through screens. Cs can use Jrue of White to score return the favor to Kyrie & Luka. This will be an all out battle, both sides will have to fight to the end. I can't wait to watch this!
@@TheBlackHole2024 He took 2.3 more 3’s and shot a better percentage than Brown. Tatum took the least amount of shots since the 2019-2020 season. It’s not about Tatum forgetting he’s 6’9” it’s the system that Mazulla put in place. Wouldn’t be an issue at all if Tatum’s shot was falling this post season

Honestly there's no stopping Luka. Just gotta hope to throw him off his game and force a not so good shooting %'s. He's gonna still have an impact on the game tho, whether it's from rebounding, free throws, assists, etc. But if they're forcing a poor shooting %, then they should be good. I think white and holiday should give kyrie a hard time but he'll have a couple big games too I'm sure. The celtics should by all means win this series. If not, then whatever celtics hate yall have seen.....is only gonna get worse. As a Boston fan, I hate it too. But they really need to get over that hump. They've gotten close way too much and the team they put together this year is just insane. My main concern is the whole 'live and die by the 3' coaching of mazzula. If they lose, he's gotta go. They would've won by now if ime udokah could've just kept his hands to himself
@jasonking971 they happen to have the right guys for the system so I think Joe can win. I can't think of anyone else who can coach this team right now even if youre right about Ime being the better option.
@JoanneGiangrande I def hope you're right. I just liked when they were more defensive minded, and I'd like them to drive to the basket a bit more. Because when the 3 isn't dropping, it's about 99% chance they're losing. And their wings have good size.....not like JT is a little guy. He can muscle in for 2. Idk.....just gets frustrating sometimes how much their plan is just take as many 3s as possible.

Boston and Dallas have both been known to lose games - most YT commenters seem not to have noticed. These teams are the best in their respective divisions, and the only guarantee is that the fans are going to get their money's worth. Celts will favored ... at least until a game 7 materializes. (Good rule: never bet on a game 7.) If the final buzzer sounds with a 3-point ball in the air, I will not be surprised.
Luka and Irving cannot be stopped. They can only be slowed down. Th only way Celtics can win is through all Celtics players play with an urgency in all games, not becoming lackadaisical as they often do.
Blah, Blah, Blah, Joker,, Luka can't play defense but I've never seen a game where either one of them didn't come out on top or the numbers right there. Dude averaged 33. 9. 9 even if his defense weak he will still not be like a Trae Young, IT. Kemba. I think Kyrie is the defensive liability that can be taken advantage of inside. Celtics will win this years championship if only coach mazulla will utilize dwhite and jrue holiday more as scorers rather than facilitators especially if the jays are having an off shooting night. I've watched all the celtics game from regular season up to ecf and the only problem i have noticed is that they are only losing the game if the jays are having an awful game and they still kept on shooting too many 3's. Mazulla must give the role players their time to shine if they are playing well just like when the warriors won the championship and their 6th man andre iguodala turned out to be the finals MVP that year
