Surely going from plastic to carbon wouldn't make that much difference.. I'd understand if you went from metal to carbon. But from plastic to carbon for the price doesn't seem worth it
Not really from a weight perspective, I'd agree. The real reason for me ends up being aesthetics. Though I am told by the experts carbon is better crash protection for the bike than plastic ... but man that would be an expensive fix.
