450r better suspension 450r more stable 450r will run a little hotter in slow trails 450r engine is Agressive LOVES TO REV Raptors 700s most likely to strip that huge oil drain plug. Easy does it. Raptors 700 TONS OF RAW POWER. 450s more fun trust me. Be safe out there.
Not a machine that needs over selling ect ... that and the raptor 700 r or se both are amazing machines, super fast and capable o doin anything youd want to on / with a sport quad. Wish theyd all bring back the race/sport quads , dont get why they stopped
I went Raptor simply because I wanted Reverse but I’ll tell ya I sure prefer the ride of a YFZ it’s a way more confidence inspiring comfortable machine the Raptor just feels big & clunky
The 450se is a great bike but they had electric start since 04 so nothing new Gas lights been added to what 2009 Fuel injection 2010? Wish they would come out with a “map selection” like on the dirtbikes
This is why I need it it's a fast competition machine 🤠 I would love to have it barking like a bronco all over I used to own a 400EX Honda. I thought my coworker was trying to take off on my quad when I offered him if he wanted to write it and he took off I was yelling the whole time hey no stop I was on a 250 blaster trying to catch him through trails the only thing that didn't make him better than me was I knew the trails and there was no way he was going to take it to his house and say I left it outside bro I didn't know where you were
@@recordingrap0163put in those hours brother you’d be surprised what you can accomplish, start young and start saving for what ever the hell you want !
@@hunterkaylor1638 I wanna say mine took about 4 months, it was only supposed to take about 3 weeks, but I'm pretty sure it ended up sitting in a shipping container docked somewhere to go through customs. The dealership got pissed that I kept calling asking about it but my argument was that I just dropped 11,000 bucks on something that isn't even in my possession.
I had a raptor ordered here in Colorado, supposedly it would take max 2 months, 7 months later they called me saying they have no updates but had a ‘20 SE pretty much brand new not a single scuff, cheaper plus whip light and nerf bars so I decided to take it
@@hunterkaylor1638 first thing you need to do when you get your yfz450r is put a vortex ECU in it and change the clutch basket out for a 09-10 yfz450r oem clutch basket.
Yhea how bad is that. Its like building a 4.8 ls and slapping a cheap turbo and start killing mustangs camaros and challengers with a little ol s10. Its fun
Why are they putting titanium valves in a production bike? Your average rider is not pulling that thing apart at the recommended service and replacing valves for a couple hundred dollars.
To bad they haven’t made them for 8 years now. I made the switch to Yamaha and actually like it a lot better then my trx450r and I don’t mind supporting the only company that are keeping sports quads alive
Honda need to make the TRX450 again to compete with this thing there’s no competition for it! The TRX was the king of 450’s come on Honda get the crown back make 450’s great again !
I think my 2001 400ex is all around still way better especially for the price of a new one they went from 5 to 6 grand new to about 9 to 10 grand I'll stick with my 2001 400ex all day
Lol, dude forgot to say they ride like shit unless your on a track, and it takes another 5k to get any more hp. Raptor hands down is the ONLY sport quad to buy
Nope it’s a race quad ! But I agree with you, needs reverse, because who is raising these things nowadays ? People are just trail riding them, so why not put reverse on at least make it an option
The Kawasaki kfx450r did have reverse, from 08 to 12 they were produced, they are geared differently and top out at a slower speed. Reliability is incredible though. I’ve owned one for a couple years and only regular service needed. Not a single broken part and it’s been well used and abused. Reverse is also easier to apply than the raptor. It’s a thumb lever on the handle bad compared to on the front right fender on the raptor. You literally have to let go of the handlebar to engage.
@@digger_jon2778he 450 will beat the raptor anywhere but top end, i have a yfz450r and a raptor 700 and what i just said is from experience, me and a buddy even traded to see if it was the rider and it wasn’t, the 450 won every where everytime except for when we were in a place that needed top speed
Sad that Yamaha won’t develop it I have the 2009 Yfz450r which is exactly the same as the 2024 if Yamaha would put the new yz450f engine in it would buy the new one same day
