I was so hyped to get this based on all the reviews. Unfortunately, it was excellent in the opening, however, on the dry down, it smells like jiff lemon surface cleaner. Mancera red tobacco on the other hand, is tremendous.
I thought it wasn't that great at first but have since changed my mind. This and the intense are both excellent. Very manly and like she said, the perfect signature. I get unsolicited compliments with both.
Great review and I agree, this is an awesome fragrance and it was my scent of the day today. I'm actually loving the entire house of Mancera. Cedrat Boise, Red Tobacco which was my scent of the day yesterday and Instant Crush which I wore Monday all garnered positivity and complements at the office and places I went after the office. Cedrat Boise is a great fragrance in my opinion. Great review.
GLAD to hear that this is an all-weather fragrance. Ordered Eccentric Molecule 01 two days ago. Will purchase Cedrat Boise in about another month. Can only afford 1 quality fragrance a month😁
Bought mine for $83 and absolutely love it. I could smell it in the box, the bag it came with, and under the cap - while not even getting to spray it by that time. Insane scent
Mine just came in yesterday morning so it was my SOTD due to the nice warm day. The performance is definitely insane, lasted all day. Just gotta watch the trigger on this because it can be cloying if you overspray.
How many sprays would you recommend with Cedrat Boise? I usually do 2 to 3, but have seen recommendations from 3 to 7 sprays with it on Google, which is insane for a strong fragrance
@@sr.rodriguez4816 I do them in different areas, but primarily focusing on the neck(left side, right side, back of neck...or back of neck and behind each ear). However I will once in a while spray on the center of my forearms instead of doing all 3 around the neck if I'm wearing short sleeves and no jacket. But the major one that will tell you about how long a fragrance lasts on you, is that single spray to the back of the neck
Bought a decant, projection/longevity is 5/5, in my opinion it's masculine, a very common scent, people who are new to fragrance would love this. I should've bought Hacivat, same vibe but in a different level!
Cedrat Boise smells exactly like Lancome Hypnose Homme but with a woody dry down. I much prefer Cedrat but if you were wondering what this smells like and remember Hypnose, thats it.
Im a 34 y/o dude and this smells like a fruitier newer version of a lot of manly musky colognes Ive kinda remembered passing by scent trails of in the 90's as a kid. I really like the old school manly scent this has. I can see why people say "smells like my grandpa" but thats just bc its got patchouli, leather, and cedar woods and has a real depth to go with the fruity opening. Overall its a very fresh and sweet fragrance that can be worn any tempurature imo. Very signature scent worthy.
I did not like this when I first got it. I’ve come around to really loving it! I wore it today and was asked by 3 people what I was wearing…. That never happens, but everyone seems to love it!
Great review. Really solid fragrance. For me very masculine almost has a "Brut" like drydown. I don't see a lady wearing this. Blind buy and I love it. Favorite one so far.
Great review and love your opinion on this absolute gem 😍 If ever there was a "safe" niche blind purchase, it's Cedrat Boise edp! I am going to have to sample the latest Intense flanker because I don't know if I need it to perform any better than it already does. My bottle has without doubt improved over time.
Funny, because this fragrance thought me that there is no such thing as a safe blind buy. It also thought me how different people experience fragrances. CB is quite a harsh fragrance to me. I blind bought it in 2018 because I could get it for very cheap. I still try it sometimes, but for me I smell a strong ashy leathery note through almost the whole life of the fragrance. In the first 15 minutes the fruityness is prominent and the vanille makes it more paletable long in the drydown. But I can't spray this anywhere near my nose, because it's so "agressive" smelling. If you read the reviews on fragrantica you'll see I'm not the only one that experiences CB this way. Or watch any video with Curly Fragrances and her side kick miss fresh, the latter can't stand CB.
@@Seasniffer69 Funny that you recommend two blind buys in a reply on my message where I explain that according to me there is no such a thing, since everybody smells different. Literally, it's not even about taste. Apparently different people smell different materials in fragrances, so some are anosmic to certain musks for example. So how you perceive Versace pour homme, could be totally different as to how I perceive it. Many people love Sauvage, I get a headache from it. :D I like Dior Homme though. :)
@@timothysegal3445 then why does the community label things mainstream frags or *designer frags* ? The community CHOSE those labels for the mass appealing aspect of a smell. So stop trying to sound smart, youre different, congrats 🎉 dude. Don't hate on just me, hate the entire community for putting labels on things.
@@Seasniffer69 I did not mean to sound smart or insult you. And I'm no more different than anybody else. I have just learned after all these years that any fragrance can be a miss for someone. I have no issue at all with designer or mainstream scents or with the labels. I love and own them. I even don't have that many far out niche fragrances. I just think the term safe blindbuy is missleading and would advice anyone to test first. And I'm certainly not the only one that has this opinion.
You can find it for cheaper from places like Walmart and Jomasshop. I haven’t bought anything yet from jomashop so I can’t vouch for them. Walmart uses 3rd party sellers and so if you have an issue with them then you have contact the seller directly. But either way, you will prob end up paying about $100 with shipping for this fragrance from cheaper sellers (maybe less) but I bought from Fragrancenet and did a return so I trust them. Retail is going to be $180.
idk about this one.. i bought a decant from a reputable site (decantx) and i smell mostly alcohol and a lemon scent. it honestly smells like a cleaning supply and this threw me off. i thought i would get a beautiful fruity smell but instead i got a alcohol lemon detergent smell.
@@nicovirkleindejesus5292 hi. There is no reformulation in Cedrat Boise and probably based on reviews, its still the same. Mine was performing 2-3 hours projection and sillage. On skin 10 hrs more. Its crazy that in clothes last longer. I even washed my clothes its still there, a hint of its fragrance. Mine is a magnetic cap. Batch 2023 and its so nice. I love it
I got a sample of this and I wonder if they messed up my order because I get no fruitiness. All I get is an intense smokiness - like you’re wearing an ash tray. Horrible
Tbh I feel like I got robbed getting the new magnetic cap version 😢. I truly hate blind buying, performance is dodoo Edit: I didn't realize there were two different versions of the bottle when I first got it
My biggest compliments getter alway get followed and co workers stop me out of all my collection it my top beside Layton 1 million lucky I’m down to the very end just had it since January and need a back up ASAP
I have to disagree, I bought the 2021 batch, great projection for 1.5 hrs, skin scent at 3 hours, gone at 4hrs, I put my nose up to my forearms, I can't smell anything, I went online and found that they might have watered it down for the release for cedrat Boise intense, I sold 90% of the bottle after testing it multiple of times asking friends and family throughout the day.
It's funny you got that from yours. I just got a bottle of Cedrat Boise, which was produced in May of 2021, and it was still detectable as a skin scent 16 hours after application. I sprayed two sprays total on my chest and forearm, avoiding pulse points since fragrances tend to not last as long when sprayed on a pulse points due to the heat. The way I see it, though, is that pulse points are best used for projection but non-pulse points for longevity
Mine definitely isn't as potent as I read online. Its a good scent for 5-6 hours but after that I legitimately don't smell it on skin. It's no armaf sillage in terms of longevity and no Eros edt in terms of projection. I feel like the performance/longevity is like my bottle of Dylan blue. Edit and I want to add I have the magnetic cap and it was a tester. The lemon/citrus in the opening isn't present for more than half a whiff. Hard to explain what the rest of the smell is but I didn't get what everyone else did. It smells sweet like honey to me.
it's not unisex. It's smoky and masculine. Overrated. Doesn't stand a chance against the l'homme (ysl), la nuit (ysl), carlisle, layton, The One. Thank god i sampled.
The new reformulated version (with new magnetic cap) (2023) sucks. Complete crap. Watered down, low longevity low projection. Don't recommend. Waste of money.
@@nedflanders5380I agree. I think they are making them so fast now they had to sit a while. I had one I couldn’t really smell last year. I kept it and now you can smell it cross the room. I have AOUD lemon mint. Last summer you could barely smell it. I thought I had a bad bottle. I would definitely suggest letting it sit a while. I think that’s the same problem people were having with Kayali fragrances.
If you want to smell like cleaning fluid, then this is the fragrance for you. This stuff smells like something I’d clean my car engine with. Every FRAG influencer on the internet is pushing this stuff. So… I blind bought it. EVERYBODY couldn’t be wrong, the stuff must smell pretty good. What a disappointment. Cedrat Boise doesn’t smell like anything. I opened it, sprayed it and smelled absolutely nothing. I sprayed my entire room - nothing, I sprayed it on my skin - nothing, I sprayed it on paper, on clothes - nothing. All I got was this cleaning fluid kind of smell, and after about 30 minutes, I kind of, almost, a little bit, smelled sort of a fruity kind of smell in the air. Nothing on the clothes, nothing on paper, nothing on my skin. There wasn’t time for me to become nose blind to it, because I sprayed it immediately, so I should have smelled something right out of the bottle. My nose works, because PDM Herod - Fantastic, Xerjoff Naxos - Fantastic, MFK Grand Soir - Fantastic. Cedrat Boise - NOTHING. All these influencers hyping this fragrance - SOMEBODY LYIN’.
