I loved my evo, I had a 9MR I'm doing a Z build now. I love the amenities of my Z. However my Evo was 500awhp 400wtq with e85, nothing will ever compare to the delivery of power like my evo did. But I just cruise now, my son misses the evo, but I like having a 2 door weekend cruiser. Evo is my alltime favorite vehicle though.

In fact it's a real drivers car and in my opinion not a car for people who arent able to service it on their own. For sure it's not as reliable as a newer sports car but that is also not what it was built for:)

Evo X owner here. There are upsides and downsides to choosing the X over the IX. It's much more comfortable, and makes a better daily, and the S-AWC on the X is much better than the IX, as well as the AYC being more competent than in the IX. But, it requires sway bars and springs to feel the same as a stock IX, and is 200 odd pounds heavier. The 4b11t is a "better" engine than the 4g63, but that only applies at stock form or with basic bolt ons due to weight, cooling properties, and having mivec exhaust, while the IX only has mivec intake. Once you get to the super high horsepower mark, the closed deck cast iron 4g63 is a better choice. On a side note, I hear the 5 speed in the X is better than the 6 speed in the IX, but I can't confirm that. In short; if you want a daily, or at least a comfortable street car, get an X. If you want a race car, get an IX.

Rook Link Yes, I am aware of that. The internals are probably going to end up being modded to resemble an Evo 8/9, and/or be a CP Evo that resembles the IV in appearance. Regardless, at the end of the day, it’s going to be, or resemble a IV.

@@errolnelson9330 The prices will go up on EVO 3 n on each model up doubt they get crazy like the GT-R cos they made more models than GT-R per year n more variation so not as rare the only exceptions be the TME(Tommi Makkinen Editions) and the FQ 300(fucking quick 300!) models. Some companies think let u hold the car in storage up to 5 years if U payed the car off. Look into it now.

I've been wanting to get those same wheels but I heard that if you don't get the offset or spacers correct they rub a lot and that it doesn't have clearance for the calipers. But damn it looks sick!!

i have the same wheels on my ix w/ 255 35 proxes and im running spacers to clear the brakes as well. rubs a tiny bit only when turning in reverse but these wheels are worth it

Dunno if I should get an EVO 8, 9, 10, or wait till 2020 n try to import an EVO 3 or 2021 for EVO 4, or 2023 for EVo 5 etc. U can actually get an EVO 1 & EVO 2 dirt cheap but people say the EVO 3 are much powerful n get more powerful as the models years go up. U can also get and EVO 0 aka Galant VR-4 the Grandfather of the EVO & Eclipse GSX. Either way need a damn EVO b4 I die. Meantime my 1G-B Eclipse GSX keeps me very happy. WHATEVER U CATS DO...DO NOT SETTLE! AS IN DO NOT SETTLE N GET A SUBIE WRX!

Just hope did not make mistake of waiting cos had chance to get and EVO 1 a couple of times n last year there were 3 EVO 2's could got all dirt cheap n super low miles N really nice like new conditioned. Passed up cos everyone told wait for the EVO 3 cos it a big difference in power from the first 2 n the power got betta as the model years go up from there. Literally could bought an EVO 2 a few months go for like less than $8000 bucks. Hope did not mess up by waiting not mentioned the EVO 3 ,4, 5 will cost way more due the novelty.

Thanks man. The lip is the mechanical deck lip. Super hard to find. Nt03 are the 18x10.5

1 week before i got my eclipse i saw an evo 8 at a dealer.....only reason i didnt go for the evo was the ridiculous price they asked for. Sure its an evo and all but not paying 38k for a any car that is not brand and money was tight plus over 140k miles not worth the trouble imo.
