Love the video. I’ve had my bearded dragon for a year now and he was my very first reptile and I can definitely agree that they are not as simple and easy as some people make it out to be. I love him dearly but honestly would probably never own more than one bearded dragon at a time, my wallet hurts enough from just him alone, lol. Not only that but getting him transitioned onto a more plant based diet has not been very easy, he is very stubborn. But I love him and having him has helped me to discover my love of reptiles, something I probably never would have realized without him.

Make some "salad dressing" with Pangea gecko paste and mix it into the greens. Slowly reduce the amount of Pangea you put on the salad until he is accepting it without problem. If he goes off his salads again, just add a tiny bit more of the Pangea.

You could also try a light sprinkling of bee pollen on the greens. Our beardie is about 5 months old, eats 40-50 crickets in a sitting (twice a day) and still manages to completely demolish the salad we give her daily. Bee pollen is good for them, and since it’s made by bugs, it smells like bugs. Might be worth a shot.

I agree! I definitely would not want more than one at a time! It looks like youve got alot of great salad suggestions from other comments, but one more I want to add is Reptilinks! They make omnivore blends for lizards like bearded dragons that have greens mixed it! Its a great way to sneak some beneficial greens and veggies into their diet! Love this. I’d also add they are somewhat ‘needier’ than other reptiles. Of course it varies from individual to individual but I’m on my third beardie and all of mine have loved free roam time and would be pretty bummed without it, whereas most of my snakes and geckos couldn’t care less about coming out. To me it’s a massive pro as I love how personable they are but some people might not have the time to do this!

So my son wanted a turtle but online ppl were saying salmonella and ecoli were just part of owning a turtle. Is that the same case for bearded dragons? Or are not all of them infected? U always see ppl holding them n letting them roam the house.

You should mention that females lay infertile eggs 3 or more times a year, so they have a higher calcium need and you have to remove the eggs as soon as they are laid.
