Rocco is 100% on the right side of the Force and a GREAT instructor. The free version of Davinici was so easy for me as a beginner that I ordered some video stuff from Udemy to improve my skills. And it is absolutely amazing. The insane performance, the usability is unbelievable, it is so EASY to learn, it is so fu.... intuitive, there is so much free content and a very nice community. YOU WILL HAVE FUN WORKING WITH IT.
Davinci Resolve has definitely been a major step up from Premiere Pro since I’ve made the switch! I do have some issues with speed and playback but might have to do with my hardware. I’ve found that it runs faster when I plug in my laptop though. Glad to see you posting more content bro!
I have to keep my laptop plugged in for the best possible playback too, and I use a few tricks to make my clips play back smoother such as generating optimized video and using render cache... I might have to make a video about that!
Me, who has been using DVR for the last two years, watching this video. Jokes aside, all the points are to the point. People underestimate, how powerful this software is, even the free version.
Apparently PP has much better performance now. For what you get resolve is still better if you aren't wedded to the Adobe ecosystem by your working environment.
