Curious for the new discoverd area in Bali ! A friend recently returned from Bali , he got dengue fever , even got taken to the hospital. So insurance would come in handy. Last time I was there (+ - 10 years ago) I had a two day fever , went to a local farmacie , she asked for my symptons and got antibiotics without prescription . All good in the end... Had some great times there despite being ill 😄 Need to make a revisit !

Personally me I have no interest in going where everyone else goes nor doing what everyone else does.Bali isn’t overrated it’s over crowded with tourism but this is the backlash for pushing for too much tourism and allowing tourism to ruin the naturality of the island.This is why I always adored the southern pacific islands more because they are taking a different approach than other islands in the world and with the southern pacific islands are closed off from tourism they don’t do any island hopping either.You have to book an accommodation at a resort and can only stay for how long your accommodation is and they also have a limit to how much people can come to the island.I don’t know why Asian islands don’t implement this tactic🤔.

Moral of the story, don't go to Canggu. Everyone knows that, Canggu was a thing maybe 5 years ago.
