All useful, accessible and fun to play. Dream pattern felt particularly nice! The 4th pattern is also nice to practice shapes for 7th inversions. Thank you!
Great video Arthur! I really like 5, because it is a variation of a LH pattern I discovered myself: 1-5-8-9-10-9-8-5. I typically play it all in the LH, with the middle and index finger crossing over the thumb after playing the octave. Have to add your versions into the repertoire now.
Excellent! I Like pattern 4. Sus chords really harmonizes well! Thanks so much for sharing your great tips and tricks! Sure enables a more rapid and efficient learning curve!
I really like the way you explain how to do these progressions. I can read music but for some reason I have never caught on to playing by chords. I think this will help tremendously. Many thanks!
Love these patterns, only thing that scares me off is the download, it looks like sheet music, which I find entirely terrifying. Do you ever show the progression with the keys highlighted in blue for each step? I love the blue highlighted keys, it gives me hope that even I could possibly play these patterns reasonably well one day?
Hi David, yes the download is the sheet music. If you copy the patterns I'm showing you using the video you should be able to learn these without sheet music though. Just take is slow when you first start (and remember you can watch the video at slower speeds as well if you need to) and yes you should be able to play them well one day :)
