I myself own a MODERN BIKE(KTM) and I love it 😍 but let me tell you, Enfields' and Harleys' give the real motorbiking experience. I mean if you ride a modern day bike then you will just reach your destination at the end of the day BUT if you own a classic (any classic) motorbike then you get a memorable journey at the day's end.
to me that's only frustration, stranded in the middle of nowhere its not an a real motorbike experience to me. Having a modern bike still with old school technology but reliable because it's build with modern day tech but at the same time kept simple and enjoying the road ahead , then that yes. it would be an epic motorbiking experience.
I am glad a owner accepts the bike's terrible problems rather than saying it's a characterstic of the bike to vibrate and let parts fall off. It's high time royal enfield did something about their quality. But sadly due to the RE bakths treating RE like god, the company uses this foolishness to milk money. RE as a company has so much potential but sadly I don't see them being ethical. Ride safe brother!
Do agree with you, quality is compromised and RE bikes are not upto the mark nowadays. Foolish will continue to become Foolish on a/c of presence of such brands.
i have been using RE classic last 4 years ..i covered around 60K kmz ..still now i not even phase any serious issues... 1st you should give a good service to it ..

these problems are not major one's, u have to keep ur nuts & bolts tight so that parts won't detach by itself, I own this legendary bullet from past 8 years and i never faced these types of problems. Just take care of ur machine and see how it works... gud luck
the authorized re workshops are careless nowadays, they just charge a huge amount for just servicing and oil change. ive faced similar problems after servicing at re workshop. so i would recommend you to go to a private mechanic who specializes in RE bikes, they will charge you reasonable amount and will give you way better service than the authorized workshop
i too have faced 2 of the above problems once my battery cover flew off at 100kmph and got all scratched and damaged and my silencer fell off when i by mistake went through a pothole.
Bro. This all problems are depends on your regular care.. that's not an issues.. It shows your care about your RE.. I'm also using RE.. I'm not facing any problem like this..
1) check security of bolts: Loctite. 2) head stay is loose, it holds the tank on too. 3) fasten the battery cover properly. 4) it has eaten the cement biscuit gasket, use copper exhaust gasket p/n 582638/A. 5) RE fuses are rubbish, change the lot (car fuses) and carry spares.
I had never even heard of these bikes before today. Their is a cool military version for sale in Oklahoma for about $5700 and is said to be 1 of 100 in the US
It's nothing to do with the factory, the dealer who sells the bike should do a PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) check on the machine before it's handed over to the customer. The PDI check includes checking that all the fasteners are torqued properly. The owner should then check the fasteners for tightness once a week as large capacity singles do vibrate fasteners loose.
This all happening jest because of u r bad maintenance ....... While I was seeing at u r engine I felt like u have not gone for over all service before u start u r long ride ...... There is also possibility that service point where u get service r of not qualitative ........

Damn.. I thought that its only me who is facing problems like this with my RE electra.. once handle lock fell somewhere when i reached the destination.. then spent 2 hours in finding the temporary handle lock.
Bro, this all problems happened in your RE bro, it's not common issues in RE. I would accept only the vibration that's all. Ur videos are nice bro, keep going
Eddy bro, many of my friends who had RE have these issues. One of my friends fuse got burned ,and his bike is not starting. There was a spare fuse but he didnt know.
I am a first time RE owner and these sort of problems I have also faced. I used to ride a 125cc Yamaha SS125 but bought RE Classic 350. Meanwhile riding the Bullet I have encountered that few nuts and bolts get loosened after riding the bike for few 100 kms. The steel plate of silencer gets loosened, the rider seat bolts gets loosened due to vibrations. And moreover the paint quality is also not upto the mark, few spots get rust very easily. Otherwise the bike has a different level of attitude and charm to ride I admit.
these are not motorcycle defects, they are things that happen on any motorcycle that is not serviced. even more so on a single-cylinder engine which vibrates a lot it is important to frequently check the tightening of screws and bolts.
frankly speaking I myself own a 2013 edition Chrome 500.Never faced any of these problems..It has done around 40000kms....One major problem I faced was the tappet noise issues at around 15000kms..no problem since then..just regular check ups,engine oil replacements.... the bike does around 600-700kms per day without breaking into a sweat..Ihave installed a aftermarket handlebar which reduces the vibration levels upto 60%(vibrations creep in only after 110-120kmh).. don't know with ur bike..Bad luck or Faulty manufactured???

100 speed is not an issue above hundred stock handle bar is not that good.. This bike has some problms at certain speed if u r going 80 there is vibration but at 90 it is smooth.. Above 110 it become smooth again.. I dnt knw how it is happening
You can do that but it will be temporary, and besides that parts getting loosened up is not the only problem with vibration, there are a lot more things that can be affected by vibration.
Allah bachaay is bike se yaar....we have our own riding gang in which one of our member got an Enfield standard 350cc and guess what...haha it always messes up our long rides all the times...some times the wiring messes up sometime the fusses messes up some times it just don't wanna start up which fucks up our time and heads real bad...and one fine day at our Goa Mumbai road trip his exosd pipe flew away in the air all of a sudden which left us helpless in the middle of no where but luckily we found a punkture wala near by who didn't even had proper nuts and bolts to fix it up but some how he managed to fix it temperaraly and we had to complete the rest of the journey at 40kmph speed....and make no mistake abt it..its not an old bike it's just 3 year old with 35000kms ridden and very well service maintained..still we r always afraid of his bike coz it can break down anywhere anytime leaving us staring each other's faces in wasting time
Lack of maintaince seems to be the major problem here.......long rod engines vibrate especially when you rev the crap out of them for long periods. RE singles are B road bikes meant to be cruised not flogged.
Why did You purchase royal Enfield when you are criticizing it for silly things . Nothing happens on it's own . May be you are not maintaining it properly , so these things happening ...
Lol the same thing happened to my battery cover on my Thunderbird. The beautiful paint was full of chips and dents. It hurt my soul listening to noise of it scraping on the ground.
problem with indicators or tail lamp. Check the fuse in front head light . Silencer problem - your bolts need to be tighten again. all these things can be taken care easily.
Am using Enfield classic chrome 500 for last 2 years last week I went to Bangalore n came back to coimbatore almost 800km with luggage never faced any of this problem n that 3rd party silencer r u serious
I do own a classic 350 but never experienced any such quality issues. May be i have not driven it for long.. as it is just 10000 kms on odometer. But the build quality of royal enfeild is good. Many people told me not to buy the 500 ccs rather go for 350 because in 500cc there are many issues from engine to electronics...
Im soo glad i went for the cbr 250r std 40k km almost done, 0 problems faced , vibrations creep up post 130kmph that too slight but i feel soo planted. Im a non abs but changed brakelines to steel braided , its very sharp and very strong braking feel .
All issues are probably from vibrations, older style 2 stroke mopeds I've had with the same issues. Just need some Loc-tite and go over every bit of hardware, then do it again after a half dozen rides to make sure everything stayed tight...
only 5th problem wad considerable that can be issue form company , all other problems were happened because of loosen bolts and screws , so u can not blame RE for that .
Yes of course you're not riding sports bike cruisers are different from sports bike and every morning before leaving the home take a look around your bike and make sure that the every bolts and nuts are tight , and for the battery cover maybe you are not locked it properly, one hand riding and more than eighty kmph makes every bike shaking, and make sure that tank is proper position.
Have three RE, worst mechanical was a loose bolt on the heat shield on the Trials, my three are 2018, 2020, and the Tribute 500, but that’s just my experience
I recently bought chrome graphite, 2016 model and unable to self start without holing clutch. I replaced clutch aswell and no changes in result. Can anyone help me find out what could be the issue? Also the kicker is slightly hard and cold is a bit of an effort to accomplish. I got it checked with mechanic and they all say compression is hard in 500cc and it's normal. You need to kick with nyak 🤷
I never have these kind of problem in my 58 g2 but do keep checking nuts and bolts assembly on weekends just to ensure nothing is lost in middle of ride also some of re service centers are really terrible the machismo drain nut got loosen by itself because the person working on bike was unaware and stupid I learnt it the hard way even after servicing do a through inspection so that you will know if the servicing done is up to par or just money laundering system. At the end we all love our bike ride hard live free
Bhai, your feul tank is dancing :D You can consider using pull springs on your exhaust or to use slightly longer bolts. You can drill through the bolt longer bolt and then secure the nut from falling of by attaching steel safety wire. Or use Nyloc nuts and washers. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyloc_nut Still a great bike !
A simple solution for all the problems! You just need 2 things a 1ltr ka empty bottle, a Matchbox. 1st take out 1ltr petrol from your bike then put it on the bike use the matchbox to fire it up.. go to a safe distance bcoz safety comes first! All problems solved
You have to do some maintenance. From this only vibration issues is what I can see in my desert storm in the last two years. Everyone was praising bullets before, now some other bikes came into the market and now everyone hates bullet. The price of RE in India is lesser than in other countries also the build quality because in India price really matters. If you arent happy with it why using it, sold it and buy a bike without any complaints. From my experience no bike is perfect.

Well l have heard this and that about these bike poor old royal enfields and l have one never had a issue but l might one day but these old bikes although there New they are old in hart and sole of check check check those nuts and bolts lock tight them and regular maintenance goes a long way we today are used to modern gadgets and things these bikes are not like that l also own a 1948 bsa and she’s a rattler as well l regularly check everything before a ride this was how it was cheers
Ha ha ha 😀 it's all the common problems with RE thanx the silencer only came loose rather than falling off,even foot pegs can go away in older models fastened by one nut,the rectifier wire can come off making you helpless in the middle of highway at night or a perfectly working battery 🔋 might be sucked by the nasty electricals leaving one stranded and lastly the chain lock can fly off anytime on long rides,so friends keep a tool set ,Allen key ,fuses,chain lock and lastly a small wire length along 😀.
Bro try to get your bike serviced at a good service center and get some sealent fixed in the nuts and try to check each and every accesible nut before riding on long routes
Bro I like your vedios. I agree with vibration Remaining all i never faced them. I own classic 500 stealth black and I own 1954G2 model but doesnot face these issues. But every enfield is different. Mainly it depends on maintainance
Yes bro RE bike what we expected it will after buying we reyalized about issue and problems with service centers, I faced an issue while on a road trip ( NH44 ), "The REAR WHEEL SPOKES WERE CRASHED", we have mentioned the service center guys to inspect each & everything because we are going on road trip, but they dint do second service properly because of which this happened. Brother, tighten your bolts often.. I own a Classic 350, and I do constant fitting checks.. It is a bike with lot of vibration. We need to take care of the bike
