Mileage test | Royal enfield Classic 500 

I managed to get 44 km/l today, i had converted the fuel injection system to a carburettor one yesterday. Took milage test with milage bottle and it was 25 on rough slow ride and 44 on 60km/hr smooth nonstop ride

Once i did a 52 kmpl ride on my CL500 ..no high rpms, no engine breaking, minimal breaking n 70-75kmph cruising speed. Yes thats possible but not practical. In my general city riding style n conditions the bike gives 24-27kmpl

Like really?! I have the same model and colour as yours but I didn't really ever measure the milage of my bike but I used to say it gives around 25 in the cities and 30-32 on the highways. But what I saw here is something really different. P.S- I have the stock silencer. Sometimes I ride it till 100 that does affect the milage right?

Yeah. I believe you. Why wouldn't anyone believe? But doesn't the mileage seem more? My Pulsar 15 2017 Edition gives around 50 kmpl and re 500 is giving 44. It's surprising

I also have classic 500 (BS 3) and i get around 25 kmpl and sometime 27 kmpl in city and 31 kmpl in highway in stock exhaust,i never changed or not even tried any other custom exhaust.

44km/l seriously??? i mean how can any 500cc bike that too a RE gives a mileage which is better than a 350cc. I checked again to see weather you were riding a 350 eventhough i could see the chrome. I have also booked a 500cc and the only thing i worry about is the 25-30Km/L mileage. What are the stuffs you do for maintaining the engine.

Initially while going to Bombay, my Classic 500cc gave 54km/pl. But 700km of total trip riding in Bombay city and getting back again,it gave me 44km/pl whole trip.

Aren't you suppose to let the bike idle with the new exhaust atleast for 5-8 minutes, so that ecu can self recalibrate, map itself to the new exhaust?

I am getting 40-46 on highway , 32-37 in city on my desert storm classic 500cc bs4 . My crusing speed is 50-60kmph My driving pattern 1st gear :- 0 - 15kmph 2nd gear :- 15 -30kmph 3rd gear. :- 30 - 40kmph 4th gear :- 40 - 55kmph 5th gear. :-. Above 55kmph

42 km per liter? Does it depend on silencer too? Will milage drop if Free Flow silencer like indori is used? Will milage won't drop also thumb if wool filter silencer is used?

Hii Bro I am facing another problem in my Enfield Due to After marker Silencer(as I think) My bike's engine oil getting reduced by 1 ltr after 2k kms of oil change. Bike machenic said Aapki Bike Oil Chor rhi hai What could be solution as per you Apart from using original silencer

at First flling you hv mentioned that fuel is little bit more than 1 litre and after second filling that bottle was exact One Litre, which means your bike giving you near to same mileage by both ? am i right ?

I was in delemma whether changing my stock one to indori will ever do justice on mileage on my standard 350 which was showing 52kmpl and after changing it is returning me around 49-50. So, yours is 500 and damn man! It returned you 42! Then now I should consider buying a Bullet 500.😱😁😁

My Royal Enfield giving only 20 Kmpl as I have RE Classic 500 Desert storm in UAE. The capacity of Fuel tank is very less as I have to keep 3 liters in reserve in tank & as per RE machanic I should not fill the full tank so approx I should keep 10 to 11 liters with 3 liters reserve so I can put only 7-8 liters petrol & I drive everyday around 200Kms so almost 2 times per day visit in petrol station & the major problem in UAE with accessories are not available, very limited options for accessories for RE. Rest of all Great.
