Add a roll of Eternabond tape, some duct tape and bailing wire and you've got the complete set.

Obtaining Premium/non ethanol gas will also last longer. Per Sthil they recommend non ethanol fuel be mixed with their 2 cycle oil for their 2 stroke equipment because it stores much longer.
@FateUnbound
@FateUnbound 5 лет назад
You are correct, non ethanol gasoline is better for these small engines. Ethanol is hard on them and I have also heard that it goes stale faster.

Also a roll of Eternabond tape for roof repairs. Once down it is not coming off

Just "discovered" you as I prep up for an Alcan Highway trip in a week. Good stuff. Allow me to point out that silicone doesn't stick very well to other silicone so it would be best to remove the existing stuff behind your sink, cut it out with a box knife and scrape as much of the remaining residue away with a screwdriver, then place the new stuff. I also am a big fan of Fluid Film. Its a lubricant, a rust preventive, a sort of rust converter, a plastic and rubber conditioner...food safe, smells good and makes your hands soft like a baby's skin. Made from lanolin, sheep's wool wax.

What an adorable kitty, I loved how you're holding her like a football. Great info I didn't know there's such a thing as "dry" lube and that gas can go stale.

I have a suggestion for you, I used to use stable until I had a large issue with it. The stable it self separated from the gasoline and clogged all my fuel lines! I lived in Nebraska and used the stable product to protect all my yard equipment, mowers, weed eaters, chain saws etc. and in the past had no issues with it but once this happened and spent several days cleaning and plowing out fuel lines well you see my point. Foe the past several years I use a product called SeaFoam, it not only treats the fuel but also cleans the fuel system! I strongly recommend this product!! Love you videos, Thank You
@FateUnbound
@FateUnbound 5 лет назад
I wonder if it wasn't the Stabil that was the issue but something else going on with the fuel or engine. I have been using Stabil in all my small engines for over 10 years now without incident. But hey, if Seafoam works for you then keep on keeping on brother 👍👌

Can you do a video on how to safely get on you roof either using the ladder on the back of the rv or a normal ladder. I need to figure out how to do this in order to check the seals. With a fear of falling this has become a monumental task for me. It would really help to see someone do it. Thank you for considering my request. I don't know if this is an issue for other rv'ers or not.

Great content and another great shot of that impeccably clean RV roof! I'm sure the effort involved in maintaining that clean roof pays off by facilitating the discovery of dicor candidates while you are outside rather than later when you are inside watching water drip from the ceiling...

I agree with all your suggestions, David. I, also, use fuel stabilizer for fuel in my m/cycle (espec, over winter). Oh, yeah, the "No Spill" fuel can is a MUST (saw yours in the truck bed); I have one, too -- really neat! Y'all Be Safe!

A caution on the Dicor sealant - make sure it is compatible with your roof. I have a PVC roof and I cannot use Dicor per my manufacturer. Thanks for your videos!
@FateUnbound
@FateUnbound 5 лет назад
Interesting, I'll keep that in mind when recommending Dicor. Thanks for the tip for everyone Bob! 👍
@revbob53
@revbob53 5 лет назад
No problem. For PVC roofs, my manufacturer (Lance) recommends XTRM Ply universal self-leveling sealant. As you recommend, I keep a tube on hand! BONUS - It’s less expensive than Dicor!

3 in 1 also makes a rubber slide seal treatment and a PTFE dry lube. We use them and the window lube. Their easy to find (Walmart vs. an RV dealer). Only downside is their smell which luckily dissipates after an hour or so.
@FateUnbound
@FateUnbound 5 лет назад
We also have the rubber treatment spray that we use on the rubber around the windows and doors to keep it from cracking from UV exposure. No slides on our trailer though.
@bradwillis6250
@bradwillis6250 5 лет назад
Another awesome video :) On a side note though, we too have a keystone and any keystones made in the last 5 plus years have TPO roofs and not your standard rubber roof. Dicor isn’t the best option.

I know your windows must get dusty driving down those dirt roads you like camping on. Get yourself a can of Invisible Glass. It is easy to apply and you get streak free, clean windows. It actually makes your windows look like they disappeared. I always travel with at least two cans. I found the foam works better than the liquid. Next time your in Walmarts auto section, get a can and try it. I'll bet you never use another kind after giving it a try.
@FateUnbound

Thanks for the tip, we've been using Windex to clean our windows and it doesn't do that great of a job. Pretty streaky.

@melissam0ss
@melissam0ss 5 лет назад
Oops...I was referring to the window guide treatment to prevent window sticking 😁
@FateUnbound
@FateUnbound 5 лет назад
We don't have to reapply ours very often and it's fairly random, just whenever the window starts to stick or drag again. It's really good stuff, like I said in the video that one can has lasted us quite a long time. I'm not sure exactly what the 3-IN-ONE Window and Track Dry Lube is made out of though. Also, give Pinky a hug for us!
