My kids had Furbys. One would NOT stop talking. We took the batteries out and literally threw it outside the second story window. I kid you not, it chattered all night. Outside, with no battery. The next trash day, we threw it in the garbage and never bought another Furby.

I've heard tons of horror stories about Furby's and it makes me glad my mom wasn't always able to buy all the latest toys.

my Furby's were freaking evil. they would not quit talking to one another even with being away from one another across the house. At night it sounded like different voices were talking from one end of the house to the other and no longer sounded like the Furby's voices.

My dad was about 20 when he got a ouija board and decided to use the board at a small party with his sister and everyone who has heard of this board should know the rules, but if not here is one of the biggest rules. Always say goodbye before leaving the board. But his sister did not realize this and she got up to leave the game because she got scared. As she went to get up the triangle piece was launched off the board right beside her face, it then lodged point first an inch and a half into the wall behind her. This is honestly one of the worst things that ever happened to my dad and his sister. He is still terrified by ouija boards and he wont even step near them anymore. And my dad is a scary man, he even used to have his own paranormal team with his friends, and they travelled all over the country investigating and experienced many terrifying things. But this was by his words his most chilling and terrifying.

1:28 its called the furby death screech and its due to very low battery. Furbys don't really use all that much power, so it takes a long time for those batteries to die. my best theory for said screech and them just randomly turning on is due to the fact that batteries don't just 'die', they have a residual charge and that furbys don't need much to get em goin. So that furby sittin in yr closet for 7 years probs went off cause the battery had some juice, but they screech cause the system doesn't just 'know' when to stop pulling power from the batteries and theres not wnough for the speaker to work properly. I know theres probs a better way to explain that but its interesting.

For the Furbees, there were some computer chips made with materials from nuclear fallout areas in the Southwest and those could emit rrandom particles that would interfere with the processing. Maybe some of those were used in the toys.

See? Look how old the Furby™ doll is? It had a valid A.I. that was able to learn patterns and language, even though it was simplistic. We tested this by making a chart of 25 gibberish words to represent English counterparts (eg. floop for pet, sturmfk for friend etc) and it learned the words in its own Furby™voice. Not only that but when set in front of another Furby™, face to face (sensor to sensor) the original doll was able to teach the new doll. Successful through a number of generations. I can't remember how many off the top of my head; at the time those dolls became difficult to find. It was at least 5. I would need to dig out the paperwork. (yes, I'm a complete dork) I can't be the only person that finds this creepy and disturbing. I have a full 68 page report that I have written about this. I should publish it online somehow. The point being; imagine what type of A.I. exists now that the common person does not know about. The fact that robots have now been made that can walk and run on two legs like a human (a very difficult task to accomplish) is very scary to me.

My Furby experience: I was on my way back home from Scotland and I had my 2014 firby with me. I was playing with it in the car and it just suddenly started making weird noises: this freaked me out and I decided I would put it away. We got home and it was my bedtime. My mum tucked me up and said goodnight. It was the middle of the night and I heard strange noises downstairs like screeching. I went downstairs and my furby was there sitting on the couch, screeching like it was possessed. I could remember that I left the furby in my backpack and not on the couch... I got myself some water and went to go and tell my mum, but then, it stopped screeching, I went upstairs and told my mum. She said it was going to be okay and she said I could sleep with her and she would through it away tomorrow. I went back to sleep but woke up at about 5. My mum wasn’t in her bed. I could hear her downstairs doing something, I didn’t know what. I went downstairs and I could see her holding the furby in her hand. She was crying and shivering but she saw me in the corner of her eye, I asked what was wrong and her respond will haunt me till the day I die. “The furby- it was on the bed... flashing its eyes and screaming. “ a shiver went up my spine. We put it outside and went back to bed, but as I was drifting off, I could still hear her whimpering with fear. We threw it out the next day A.S.A.P. My mum was actually happy to throw it out, so was I, but I will always have a little fear of furbys! 😔😣😰 Thanks for reading :) 😊

I actually was never traumatized by the Furbies, but rather annoying when they didn't work when they did freak out. When they came out with the Baby Furbies, they did that less often than the first version ones. Now Ouija Boards is a definite NOT TO BE MESSED WITH, you can summon a demon through those or open a Poltergeist that will follow around the person for a long time. You can't burn them, but you can bury them, never mess with these boards ever, they are no good on Earth and they should NOT be sold at any store PERIOD!!!

I personally didn't have a weird furby experience except for one incident. My niece had one when she was around 6 years old. One day it was sitting on her dresser all motionless. My niece walked into her room and the furby automatically spoke up. Hi Carlee!! yup, my nieces' name is Carlee. She didn't even speak to it first. Not sure what it was but it would speak random intelligent descriptions of activities going on around it. Kinda creepy to say the least.

Furbies didn't learn English, they eventually started to say predetermined things each one was programmed to over a set period of time. It was a trick the developer used to make people/kids think talking to their Furby would make it learn words like a parrot. The lie got them banned from government facilities and there were major security concerns surrounding it, so they came clean about it. Leaving a Furby alone in a quiet area and forcing it to "wake up" would result in it beginning to say a few English words, even if not exposed to any speech.

I had a old school furby when I was a kid, I fed it grated cheese and from that day it just went URRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH like in a deep gargling voice 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have an interesting Ouija board story! Me and my group of friends (me+3 people) were hanging out and one of my friends suggested to play with the ouija board he had. We agreed to it and started playing. First few tries were failed. But after 20 mins, the thing started moving by itself. We met a ghost called Lilly, and she claimed she didn't want to make any harm, and she just wanted someone to sing happy birthday to her. So we sang it and then suddenly lights flickered. And then she said goodbye. AND THAT'S HOW WE CELEBRATED A BIRTHDAY OF A GHOST!

So, I have a story about a Furby. When I was about 3 or 4 years old, my parent's got me a Furby. I never named it. But, I'm 13 now, and still have that Furby. So one day, I decided to take it out and give it to my 3 year old sister, Isabela. Isabela LOVED that Furby! But one morning, I woke up and saw the Furby on the coffee table. I thought to myself, "Isa probably left it on the table'' Isabela woke up and came to play with her Furby. I left her alone for a moment to go and brush my teeth, but I heard Isabela scream and then start crying. I freaked out and ran towards her. The only thing that was there was the Furby so i checked it. It looked normal so i put it down and assured Isabela nothing was wrong until the thing started talking. It used to have this really cute voice. But now it had this demonic supernatural voice.I threw it across the room and it went back to normal. It was one of the scariest moments of me and Isa's life.
