i dont see a reason to have anything against this channel. it offers nostalgia to the older gen and for the newer gen offers classic cartoons instead of what we got today. imo
Yeah, Super-Friends would be great, but there might be a rights issue, as it's currently airing on MAX , so they may not be able to get that show. Warner Bros/Discovery owns most if not all of the Hanna-Barbera library, but they don't even have Super-Friends on their cartoon networks, Cartoon Network and Boomerang, only on MAX. But, a lot of Hanna-Barbera shows are on MeTV Toons' initial line-up, so maybe there's hope down the road. My guess is that they're limiting who can air DC-based cartoons for now. Here's hoping that changes, because everyone doesn't have MAX and MeTV Toons is OTA/free.
@@Launchpad05 Disney wants people to get Disney+ it makes no sense for them to keep content that they own to rivals companies amazing how people are not so bright to understand
The Superfriends, Laff a lympics, and Captain Caveman aren't part of the schedule yet either. Wally Gator, Touche Turtle, Yogi's treasure Hunt, Richie Rich, Pac-Man, Little Rascals, Globe Trotters, Shirt Tales, Monchichi's, Scooby and Scrappy Doo, Dynomutt, Clue Club, Dastardly and Muttley, are all shows that aren't on the schedule just yet. But eventually, they will make the schedule and I'm sure they will rotate programming regularly, becuase they will have access to all Warner Bors, Hanna Barbera, Universal, and probably all Filmation (because the Filmation Library was recently acquired by Universal) cartoons.
My 5 that should be added is. 1. Battle of the Planets 2. Snorks 3. Fat Albert 4. Pacman (80's Saturday Morning cartoon) 5. Alvin and the Chipmunks 1983 Honorable Mention: Saturday Supercade
I don't think Battle of The Planets is possible due to the company behind the dub no longer having the license to dub Gatchaman. Also, Fat Albert may not be added due to how its creator is a criminal nowadays.
I was really hoping to see more of the old USA Cartoon Express/70s era Hanna Barbera stuff that I grew up with like Captain Caveman, Speed Buggy, Hong Kong Phooey, and Laff A Lympics and was disappointed it wasn't there
My Top 5 shows to be added to ME TV TOONS in the future: 1) The Filmation Archie/Sabrina shows 2) Tiny Toon Adventures 3) Animaniacs/Pinky and the Brain 4) DIC's Heathcliff 5) DIC's Dennis the Menace EXTRA HONORABLE MENTION: DIC's Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons (Adventures of, Sat AM, and Underground)
I so agree, especially the Sonic cartoons (as those are basically relics of their time due to how characters like Sally, Bunnie, Manic, Sonia, Snively, Sleet, Dingo, Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts have been seemingly abandoned by Sega in favor of their canon).
There are so many good shows to choose from ; 1) early Marvel and DC stuff like Aquaman, the Atom and Spiderman 2) Battle of the Planets, Star Blazers and Volton 3) Star Trek and Flash Gordon 4) Thundar and Herculoids 5) George of the Jungle, Dudley Do Right and Tom Slick
@@chake46 you won't see any Marvel cartoons it is owned by Disney everything you will see is a Discovery Time Warner Property you might see the Superfriends in the future but it's currently on HBO max
Here's my top 5 that didn't make the cut: 1) The Funky Phantom, 2) Quick Draw McGraw, 3) Wally Gator, 4) Speed Buggy, 5) Magilla Gorilla. But really. There are so many of them.
Braceface would be a cool addition... In fact, most-to-all Nelvana-produced animated shows would fit in with MeTV TOONS... Nina, Alyson, Maria, Sharon, Brock & Alden are my favorite characters on the classic show.
My 5 shows: 1: George of the Jungle (original and/or 2007 reboot) 2: Voltron: Defender of the Universe 3: Thundercats 4: 80s Alvin and the Chipmunks 5: Taz-Mania.
I think the schedule of this channel should include all of the cartoons made in the time of the beginning of cartoons to the latest 2000's. And that each each day of the week is a day that has one of the seven or so known genres of the cartoons, such as horror Saturday and spy/mystery Tuesday. As for my 5 list cartoons, it's Wonderwheels, Pinky Elmyra and the Brain, Goober and the Ghost Chasers, Tom terrific, Mighty Mouse, and the Mighty Heroes
Well I noticed that they don't have any shows listed that were done by filmation. But if they can ever get the rights to air filmation shows they definitely have to add He-Man, She-Ra and maybe the filmation's Ghostbusters. Also I would love to see them show Back to the future the animated series and Bill and Ted's excellent adventures
Filmation is kinda tricky. Currently Universal owns the rights to most of the Filmation library with some exceptions: Star Trek: The Animated Series (Paramount) and Shazam & The New Adventures of Gilligan (Warner Bros/Discovery). There are more exceptions, I'm sure, but those are ones I've read about. I wonder if Universal has any current plans for the Filmation stuff that they control? Doesn't seem like any of those are on Peacock...
@@thevirginian5746 well I keep hearing rumors that there's going to be a new He-Man movie coming out but like I told other people that's all the more reason why it's actually to their benefit to lease out the older cartoons to somebody like me TV toons because right now yeah sure they could put it on peacock but peacock and Paramount plus are both streaming services who's long-term existence is still to be seen and it's actually would make a whole lot more sense to make a quick Buck by leasing out filmation cartoons that they're not currently doing anything with and well! It's filmation. It has the whole well it's rather goofy written but it's also very nostalgic. Will peacock isn't exactly a service that's about nostalgia. MeTV toons it's all about nostalgia. And leasing something out they don't actually have to do much with it just simply yeah maybe find what's sitting in a vault and then sit back and wait for the payday.
One significant how needs to be on the MeTV Toons lineup. 'Batman: The Animated Series'. Heck, alot of WB Animation's output from the 90's should be there.
They'll likely add them in as time progresses. SuperFriends, Tiny Toon Adventures, Batman, The Filmation Superheroes Show, The Hanna-Barbera Heroes Show, Taz-Mania, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain.

Some of the shows listed like DuckTales and Darkwing Duck aren’t possible. Those are Disney shows and are on Disney+. Disney will not want them on a rival network.
One thing viewers need to know that the reason you're not seeing these shows is they are waiting to get restored by Warners Discovery. This of course takes time.
@@ArtieArchives so When the Hanna-Barbera studio opened in 1957, the most inexpensive way to include background music in a film was to license a stock music library. Hanna-Barbera signed television deals for two very popular ones-the Langlois Filmusic library, “composed” by Jack Shaindlin, and the Capitol Hi-Q library, created in 1956 from the works of numerous composers, but updated by Capitol record every year. Ruff and Reddy cartoons used these libraries. So did three of the four seasons of The Huckleberry Hound Show and two of the three seasons of The Quick Draw McGraw Show. (Afterwards, Hoyt Curtin was hired by Hanna-Barbera to compose cartoon cues that belonged to the studio). studio). When the Huckleberry Hound DVD was released in 2005, Capitol still had rights to the stock music and a deal was struck to clear it for home video use. That soon changed. The music, as Earl explained, had reverted to the composers or their heirs, and trying to get it approved for DVD was thwarted by demands from two estates. He rather forlornly expressed the feeling the odds were against Quick Draw cartoons-at least the the ones with the Shaindlin and Capitol music-ever being released on home video.
so all the hanna barbera shows is going to air on the network except for quick draw mcgraw it’s because they didn’t fix the music rights and shows you just said in this video they will air them too
Hong Kong Phooey is a fantastic choice. I really want to see if PlasticMan ever gets to see the light of day again. I know there are DVDs, and I have them, but they deserve a larger audience than DVD will reach.
"The Superman/Aquaman Adventure Hour", "Spiderman" (1966), "Spider and his Amazing Friends", "Thundarr the Barbarian", and Filmation's "Flash Gordon" should be added.
What about static shock? Or maybe Yu-Gi-Oh? But I don't know I think Pokemon is overrated. Any thoughts on weather Pokemon is or isn't overrated? Please comment back.

@@GigglesHTF1999 Histeria is already confirmed to air (as it is part of the network's E/I shows). Garfield and Friends, I doubt will happen due to Viacom owning Garfield.

The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show The Flintstones kids a pup named Scooby-Doo.The Perils of Penelope Pitstop Super Friends. Justice League . Dexter's Lab. dragonfly The Addams Family animation series .tiny toons. the animaniacs Pinky and the Brain and some classic Superman cartoons
If you are talking about Sailor Moon, I don't think it will be added, as the dub that would be used would be the DiC dub, which is owned by Wildbrain, but Wildbrain does not have the license from Toei to release the dub (and they may never get it, as chances are Toei Animation would not allow the DiC dub and even the Cloverway dubs of S and SuperS to be legally shown ever again in favor of the Viz dub, which keeps the anime uncut and true to how it was shown in Japan). As for The Powerpuff Girls, it can happen (mainly the original series that premiered in the late 1990's), it will have to depend on whether or not Warner Bros. will allow their past Cartoon Network exclusive shows from that era to air on MeTV Toons (especially since CN is doing the Checkered Past block, which airs some of these classic Cartoon Cartoons).
I would love if they could get as many 80s “action” cartoons they can. Yeah I know they were glorified commercials for their toylines, but I loved them. I know stuff owned by Hasbro would be hard to get, but there are plenty of others they could go for. They could even have a 1 or 2 hour block of these shows weekday afternoons.
The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, MASK, The Mighty Heroes, Mighty Mouse, Heckle & Jeckle, Dinky Duck, Tarzan, Zorro, The New Adventures Of Batman
frndly just announced they will be hosting the channel. you can also find antennas for 30 bucks on amazon. id suggest looking into the antenna man youtube channel and find the one that fits u best
My 10 cartoons that should be added. 1. Alvin and the Chipmunks 1983 2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987 3. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 1983 4. Fantastic Max 1988 5. She-Ra: Princess of Power 1985 6. It's Punky Brewster 1985 7. The Littles 1983 8. Cowboys of Moo Mesa 1992 9. The Snorks 1984 10. Dennis the Menace 1986
Oh 🙌. Definitely Cowboys Of Moo Mesa should be added to the line up. The other two shows on your list, It’s Punky Brewster and The Littles, I grew up watching. The Littles was a new show the year I was born.
Nice List. However, I doubt TMNT will be on MeTV Toons due to Viacom owning the franchise to the point where they do not want it airing on a network that is not theirs.
@@jeremyriley1238 Actually in an interview Black Nerd Comedy did with the president of MeTV Toons, it was confirmed that TMNT is on the list. They have a slot for it and they are working on getting it added. They said CBS and Paramount own the rights to TMNT, not Viacom.
What about The Transformers (G1), The Transformers: Generation II, Beast Wars: Transformers, Beast Machines: Transformers, Transformers; Robots in Disguise, Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, Transformers: Cybertron, and Transformers - Animated?
I can probably see G1, Beast Wars, and Beast Machines on the channel. G2 was nothing more than random G1 episodes redone with special effects, R.I.D. is still owned by Disney, who is sitting on it and doing nothing, and the Unicron Trilogy and Animated are a maybe.
