Coach Brian Klepacki is back at the Critical Bench Compound going over 5 of his personal favorite standing ab exercises. If you have a bad back and don't want to get down on the floor for your ab training, then you've found the right video!
There are many effective ways to train the ab muscles and often it doesn't require getting down on the ground. You'll find with these standing ab exercises, you're able to hit the abs in many ways that are gentle on the spine, neck and lower back.... all while standing on your own two feet.
And the best part is these don't require any kind of equipment. Just you and your bodyweight for a fun vertical ab training workout! So watch closely as coach Brian breaks each of the 5 moves down and then begin doing these often.

Great video Coach. Always love doing your exercises. Here’s an exercise that will take your back ache away in just a week. Stand erect with your feet touching each other, near a wall or a door with your hands stretched fully forward parallel to the floor. Note that the distance between you outstretched hands and your feet should be the same from the wall. .Mark the spot 1 on the floor where your feet rest. The tips of the middle finger of your out stretched arm should just be touching the wall. Mark this spot 2. Next stretch your palm vertically, touching the the tip your thumb to the marked spot 2 and mark the spot 3 exactly where your little finger ends. The distance between spot 2 & 3 is the exact length of your neck. Spot 3 on the wall should be the approximately in the middle of your feet position. Standing on spot 1 touch both your palms flat on the wall, horizontally on spot 3. Your fingers should be parallel to the floor level. Keep 1 inch gap between your two middle fingers. Standing up on your toes, with your head stretched backwards, leaning forward, bring your chin up to touch the gap (spot 3) on the wall between your middle fingers.Hold for as long as you want. Repeat thrice. Initially you will find it difficult to reach your goal, but no matter till where you reach, your back ache would be gone in just 7 days. Besides, your entire body will get a good stretch from head to toe. Sorry coach for intruding in your schedule. You could do a video on this as well. Since, you were doing a schedule on back ache, I couldn’t refrain. Believe me you will be helping millions.

Cris , hello this is yogesh your videos are very informative and a good guide for proper exercise but in this you should show the exercise with reMoved tshirt so you can see the abs contraction you know what i mean

Great video. Are these exercises Diastasis Recti friendly? Just recently found out I had the issue and trying to correct it and not make it worse. Thanks!

I would suggest trying one or two and seeing how you feel doing them. If they do not give you a lot of pain and you are able to do these then I don't see a problem. You should also ask you doctor if there are any restrictions on what exercises you can be doing right now.

Hey, Frances! My only suggestion is to try another email address. Or sometimes, if you put a period somewhere in your regular email address - s.ample@gmail.com for example, that will also send you the report. It's a work-around trick that works *most* of the time.
