@@mahaliagamboa467 A guy in norway did a massacre or something related to that, and said that prison was treating him badly, I would bring him in italy, and say the same
@@mahaliagamboa467 He complained that the prison did not have it recent PlayStation, only the previous generation. He was laughed at. But he have not a nice life, the prisoners are all too well-behaved, to attack him, but nobody can force them to speak to him. So he is in de facto solitary confinement, because all the other prisoners ignore him.
I can actually see this working, since you don’t exactly want people to toughen up so they don’t get shanked. You want them to have the skills and help to reintegrate into society, and essentially being in a small, secluded community being watched is one way to do it…
The murdered victim cannot live their life. Why should a man that ended their life ever be able to enjoy and live their life? They should be locked forever and ever be given a chance out.
@@spoonstraw7522biologically speaking humans want revenge and punishments because it makes the killers genes less likely to pass on to future generations and to give example to others, since if every crime was punished by the electric chair i am sure the crime rate will plummet and we would need less prisons and put that money towards education and other important stuff.
@@makarel ye true but they ain't living tho are they ? they dont go no where do they? if u think they have a better life than you then thats down to you mate
@@benwatkins2313 Well I mean but do you wanna pay the taxes to give criminals Ps5's and amazing homes. I not saying that I have a worse life than this but a lot of people don't have this and it's unfair to give it to people who don't contribute or can't even exist in a normal society. It goves incentive to commit crime because if your commiting crime your life is most likely not good and this will only improve it.
The culture not because theyre treating thugs and murderers nicely. Thats not it. Scandinavian have a low crime rate because the culture shames violence much like china and japan youre seen as a fool if you commit violence and shamed. In latin america or honduras we have one of the highest murder rates in the world sadly and this wouldn't work. El salvador a neighbor has lowered crimes by actually treating thugs worse and torturing them at times. Thay seems to work. My point is sometimes the cure for a disease is vicious other times its not clearly Scandinavian countries dont have a culture of violence like others do in some small areas rural or urban. Thats also important to take into account is primarily the culture. I juat didnt want to people to say theyre treated great the prisoners so crime is reduced . Thats not how life works in many areas where some cultures have a history of violence or revenge or honor killings and so on. Humans are too complex
I'm in a sober living house here in the states, and honestly I don't see much of a difference lol. I would love to see more people who have made some bad choices in their lives have this kind of opportunity at making some changes.
Norway also has the lowest incarceration rate because prisons help the inmates become better people..prisons focus more on rehabilitation.. i hope they do this all over the world.
@matrixace_8903 yes true but also consider that when some not all that have committed murder are released without proper rehabilitation, will often repeat offend. Also, rehabilitation doesn't mean they get to enjoy life. It means they get to live in human conditions while getting the counciling or help they need to turn their lives around, whereas at the moment most are living below human conditions. My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones due to murder no one should ever have to suffer that. My heart also goes out to the families that have lost loved ones in prison because of a system that fails to recognize something needs to change. The reality is prisons are overful with inmates? So what can they do? Bring on the death sentence? Well won't that make us the murders then? Bare in mind some that are wrongfully convicted or convicted of lesser crimes may not appreciate that idea. The best thing they can do is to release and create more room but they need to rehabilitate properly before releasing them and they need to do all they possibly can to prevent the offender from re offending before releasing them back into society
We need that here in America! Norway says that they want to make these prisoners better people. It is not like that here. We just send them to jail with little freedom or even death row. That removes more people. We need prisons just like Norway so we can have prisoners come out to be better people!
That’s cool and all but uh If a prisoner killed one of my family members I wouldn’t want them living it up lol. I totally agree with other crimes but murder should not be given any type of luxury.
Norway give this luxury treatment to all kinds of criminals, including serial killers or sex offenders. Do you think these people deserve this kind of treatment?
How to delete search history: clear history data in settings. And idk what else How to move to Norway without your parents: if you're 18 you can go by yourself depending on your parents. How to commit murder: hold a knife and kill a stranger (leads you to jail) (Note: the country might send you to your country's police instead of their police, it depends...)
For that last one; Find someone loads of people know, someone that people will miss very quickly. Either do it in public, or do it in a place that has a lot of traffic. Don't wear gloves, don't hide your face, don't clean anything up, walk around covered in blood for a bit. Keep the dirty, bloody clothes in your house. Maybe post photos of you and the body on socials.. Most important thing, make sure you are in the correct area and you match the requirements to go to this specific prison!
Remember. Norwegians see the quality of these prisons as "bottom of the barrel" compared to their houses. What Norwegians consider bottom of the barrel, we consider a five star hotel. America, everyone.
The United States needs to adopt this immediately it is one of the greatest uses of a prison that I've ever seen speaking in the fact that I've already been what I was just showing is a million times better and will give prisoners a really good chance at not coming back to prison
There's actually a lot more to it than a nice place to sleep and having a day job. They're also talk basic life skills as well as career skills. The CO's are trained in total deescalation techniques, as well as being trained yoga instructors. Whatever you may think...their recidivism rate is substantially lower than ours, and several wardens from areas around the US have gone over to see what they're doing. Our criminals go in but usually come out better criminals...their criminals go in and usually come back out productive citizens.
