UCONN Usually gets who they want. A lot of these five star guys they don't want. I don't know that they want Acuff. I don't even know....are they even recruiting Acuff? I know they are recruiting Dybantsa. They know what they are doing. Don't care about hype.

Hurley isn't going to start hauling in 5 5 star one and one's a year. He knows he needs those role player multi-year culture guys too. And he's smart enough to know that he's not winning the championship with a bunch of freshmen, he needs some older guys too

@@dougf9900 HIs system takes time to learn and master. Im not sure if youcan just have 5 freshmen out there with no experience and have it work at the level its worked the past two years. Uconn wasnt even the most talented team the last two years yet outside of a bad january in `23 they have thoroughly dominated the sport because of what Hurley and his staff have put together. I cant imagine how good a Hurley team would be with a team filled with sophomores and Freshmen 5* at every position that buy into his system and team first concept. That would be terrifying for the rest of the country.

I think it’s better to limit freshman to 2 - 5 star one and dones, combined with top 40-ish veterans. The days of going all one and done freshman class seem ineffective today.

Listen, UCONN is prepared to offer Hurley a huge deal. Realistically, he should be the highest paid coach in college basketball. He has totally outperformed every other coach in the country.
