My husband died six years ago and it was two years before I was able to give up my wedding ring because in my heart I still felt married to him. But after two years, I took the diamonds from each of our wedding rings and worked with my favorite jeweler to create a beautiful custom ring that I love and wear on my right hand with great joy. I use black, grey and denim as my neutrals, and in summer my accent color is blue, in winter it's green. That's all I ever wear and I love it. Plus it makes dressing really easy when everything goes together.

I love narrowing things down, and being seasonal! In the fall/winter I wear more grey and black for neutrals and in the spring summer more navy and tan. :-) It gives me variety and I feel like I am living in the season. When I change a job or get a promotion, I tend to buy a nice bag, pair of shoes or jewelry that I mark the occasion. The extra money from the change will get absorbed into the budget and it's nice to take that first increase to recognize the hard work I have done to move things forward.
Such a thoughtful video. I love the term milestone piece. It immediately brought to mind a necklace I purchased so many years ago. It is artist made of a dancer. When I saw it I knew this was for me because it immediately brought my daughter, who had passed away some years before, to mind. She had danced most of her young life, and had choreographed worship dances at 10 and 11 years old. Thank you for reminding me and encouraging me to take that out and incorporate that into my wardrobe more often.

Hi, Kay, even though my Mom and Dad are still alive, they are in a nursing home 93/98. I took their wedding bands and diamonds, purchased a large Oregon Fire Opal, and made a ring. I love wearing it knowing I am representing their union in more than just my presence.

Kay I asked you sometime in the spring or summer to pray for my son Jeff. He had glioblastoma. Well he passed away November 4. I do need to get me something for this time we are going through. I gained weight during Covid and my dresses and jackets I wore to church are to small. I have always loved slacker, a top and jacket or blazer. I have a lot but it seems everything I have right now is to small. I find myself not wanting to buy a bigger size because I want to lose weight. Anyway I wanted you to know about my son, you said you;and James were going to pray for him the next day at church. I thank you for all your prayers for him and our family. I'm loving your hair and the necklace is a lovely touch. Red does look great on you. I tend to be attracted to a vintage classic style so I wear A-line dresses and skirts and just started experimenting with a bold lip. My main signature is my glasses.

Now that I think about it, I am a denim, diamonds, rose gold and leather kind of girl. While I draw the line at leather leggings or anything of that type given my shape, those boot cut and straight legged denim jeans are my friends. Congratulations on the necklace design. I have worked with a leather bag company and designed a wallet in memory of my late daughter and I know how much thought goes into that type of design. My professional color analysis 40 years ago was very useful, but I ended up dropping purples and grays from my recommended palette. I feel drab in these colors and I found the purples really difficult to style. I love my streamlined color palette now.
These days, more color analysts are realizing that the color categories are on a spectrum. The boundaries are fluid, and there are many variations within each category. In the seasonal color palettes, for example, a Summer can be Cool, Soft, or Light. Within those subcategories, you might be on the edge of another season, like Summer-Spring or Summer-Winter. I'm a Bright Spring who flows a bit into Winter; fewer brown shades, and I can wear black. So adjusting our color palette is often essential to look our best. I hear you about purple. There are purples I absolutely love, but they're accent colors only, like a top. Everything else in the outfit will be navy, gray, or black, depending on the shade of purple. Purples are often impossible to match unless you buy a matching top and bottom. I glow in lavender, so I've collected a few tops in that color.

Hi: Just purchased your necklace. Love the simplicity, and I think it will pair well with some of my other gold jewelry. I was always that gal that had the big bold statement pieces (not cheap by any means). These days, I have packed away all my one of a kind pieces and have gone for a more understated look. I have been around long enough to know that these pieces will once again be all the rage.

Really like this video. I know my personal style, and signature colors but need to think and mull over my signature style. Love the necklace you styled with Nordgreens, but a little small and dainty for me. I am usually more bold in my jewelry. Have to see what else they have. I'm not a dainty jewelry person, either. There are personality and body types that need dainty jewelry, and others that need bold jewelry. I never understood why I gravitate to certain clothing styles and jewelry styles until I found out that I'm a Soft Dramatic in the Kibbe types, and then it all made sense. I used to sew my own clothes when I couldn't find the styles I craved, and yes, they were Soft Dramatic styles. My jewelry choices have always puzzled my friends, since we live in a small college town where jewelry is frowned upon for the most part, but there I am with a wide, gem-studded cuff bracelet or a bold collar necklace. 😁

My signature style is mostly skirts and dresses, blazers, scarves and boots, at least in winter (sandals in summer). I love luxury fabrics and high-quality leather footwear and accessories, too. I got really lazy during the lockdowns and got out of the habit of wearing makeup and jewelry, I’m trying to revive it.
When I turned 60 I wanted to buy myself something special. I found a small designer scarf that is a big splurge for me but I have not been out and about for the last couple of years. About ten years ago I received a very nasty diagnosis and I have hung in there with a big dose of faith. The scarf has Red Riding Hood holding the wolf like a pet dog. It has my signature colours. Hi: love the Magara Necklace, I’m online looking at it and surprised that it is not 14K gold. Am I’m overlooking what method it uses as a fine jewelry piece to be gold tone? I understand the use of recycled stainless steel metal for base, but it does not explain what metal is used in the plating process that provides what they promote as “long lasting look”. I have a necklace my youngest daughter bought me years ago. I used to wear it everyday. And I may start that again. I don’t go a lot. But I can wear it around the house. I’m a sweatpants and t shirt or sweatshirt kind of gal. I just want everything I wear to be comfortable. I do wear jeans and blouses. But if I’m at home, I’m all about comfort.

You can always wear statement necklaces. As a category they never go out of style. But individual statement necklaces look dated quickly, especially the less expensive ones. So I personally wouldn’t invest much in them, but buy one or two when they are on sale.
