1.Don’t wear clothes that you don’t love 2.Don’t forget about your basics 3.Don’t be afraid to take risks 4.Don’t play the comparison game 5.Don’t question your worthiness 6.Don’t berate your body 7.Don’t live in darkness 8.Don’t be invisible 9.Don’t play small 10.Don’t give up You’re welcome, but still watch the video. It’s highly informative 😊
That video just blew me away. People pay psychologists for this stuff! Your voice is so calm and firm, Erin, and so inspirational. It's so evident you want to help your viewers, not just pass on fashion advice...although we love that as well! One of the biggies to me is the comparison game. It can be toxic. We are all too hard on ourselves and it thwarts who we really are. This video is a breakthrough in your direction as an influencer. Bravo!
I will embrace the DON’Ts !!! Exactly what I needed to hear this morning! I’m 65 and got rid of 45 pounds last year. I say “rid of” instead of “lost” because I never want to find those unwanted fat pounds again!! New goals this year to work on muscle tone. I’m trying to embrace the loose skin….The loose skin makes me much happier than the overweight feelings ever did. I’m loving the JOY back in my life ❤
Awesome! I’m kind of in the same place. I’ve recently lost 30 lbs and have 20 to go. I used to be so fit. Long distance runner, etc. But, after 3 major surgeries in 2 yrs, that all changed. Still, I’ve decided I’m going to stay around long enough for my grandkids to make me a great-grandma.😄 Keep up with the journey!
Congratulations ❤ loose skin is just a reminder of how far you’ve come! Fasting for autophagy can help your skin, but also, shopping for new flattering clothing pieces will be fun too.
My goal was to be a published author. Several years of rejections nearly killed me, but I decided that getting my work out there was more important, so I self published digitally. I just released my third book and I’m working on my fourth. Maybe I’ll never quit my day job for it, but I’m more fulfilled just writing and putting it out there. My advice? Go. Do. Don’t be afraid.
I love this! I am in my 60s and one of the few regrets I have is that I didn't feel worthy, didn't believe I was attractive, often compared myself to others, and took more notice of what I didn't have instead of the many blessings I do have. I wasn't LIVING I am sad for the time I wasted not seeing the abundance, wonder, and joy ripe for our enjoyment. When I went through menopause, all that junk started burning off, and I did start a blog and am doing things I never dreamed I would. This is such an important message. So many women over fifty feel invisible--following these tips will help us step forward and be the women we have always dreamed we would be. It's time.
Your makeup and "look" today is just so pretty and flattering on you! My favourite take-away from this video is DON'T wear any clothing items that you don't love or feel confident in...soooo true. I'm going to try my best to take this valuable advice. xo
Great video! I just turned 44, and am trying to figure out who I am, especially style-wise! Most of my 30s were spent dealing with a major life-changing illness, and my style went out the window! I used to love fashion and felt it was my form of self-expression. Now that I'm on the other side of my illness, I feel like I need to reclaim myself. 2023 will be my year of re-discovery! Especially my style! Thanks for these wonderful tips!
I’ll soon turn 46.. 44 turning 45, after a decade of unknown illness that caused many issues including morbid obesity, I finally got a medical diagnosis that allowed me to lose 100 lbs… I’m now also rediscovering myself again! Actually 2022 I was doing so, and a broken ankle recent months gave me a weight regain set back.. I’m reinventing AGAIN! Starting from scratch in PT and fashion and my body…. GO FOR IT!! GRAB THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY YOU HAVE! I will say for me, my journey to find myself like you’re describing had its moments of frustrations and fears, but also so much excitement and empowerment! Congrats!! Cheering you on!!
Dang, Erin....you hit the ball out of the park with this video! Your pearls of wisdom hit home with this 63 year-old! Thank you, sweetie!! Happy New Year!!
Thanks for all the great advice. Being age 70, I have found that we are what we tell ourselves we are. So, lets tell ourselves all good things. And I think we are what we choose, so let's choose happy.
I’m so so grateful for this video. I’m 77 and up until I was well into my 60s I was always self confident. My teeth are crooked and as a young girl they weren’t that bad and it never bothered me to smile, now as age has made things look worse, somewhere along my journey I’ve lost myself. I was a hairdresser for 56 years absolutely loved my trade. I retired at 73 and my life has been upside down. Bags under the eyes, etc. I’ve never looked my age I always looked years younger and then the comparison thing happened. Bless you I’ve always loved fashion and style and a little edgy too. So thankyou for helping me today cause I’m worth it♥️🙏🏻👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yes,yes, yes. We are harder on ourselves than anyone else. I'm 57 and I'm working toward loving myself. It is very easy to tell someone else I love them but I can't say I love myself. That is extremely sad. I grew up with a lot of abuse and have trouble feeling like I deserve nice things or love. I really feel that not having good self esteem is at the root of many problems in society. I really appreciate how much you stress things like this on your channel. Thank you!!!❤️
I’m a 57 year old “former” hottie. It’s hard bc when I was younger it was effortless or seemed that way. You get older and you feel the same but you do not get the same reaction from others. It took awhile to realize it. Then you/I kinda felt like an old dented car that you don’t feel deserves a nice wash and wax. I’m going to take all these donts to heart. I’ll be checking back. Thank you for your honesty, vulnerability, and willingness to share with us all. 🥰
Thank you for this message this morning. I just turned 52 and have lost 85 pounds in the last year (reversed type II diabetes) and am feeling better than I ever have. Still, I look in the mirror and catch myself picking at the negative things: extra skin, a bulge here or there, and focusing on the fact that I still have 40 pounds to lose instead of celebrating how awesome I look! I wish it was easier to focus on the positive things! As I watched your video this morning during my run, it reminded me of all of the positive I have in my life. Thank you for that!! 🥰
Love your comment and resonated with me. Last year turning 45, after a decade of unknown weight gain insanity fluctuations, I was finally diagnosed Insulin Resistant… I’m not yet diabetic, I’m told I will become type 2 if I didn’t lose the weight and follow lifestyle changes. I was down 100 lbs in 9 months, then a broken ankle has me currently up 20 lbs again since I went from working out and having become a runner, to finally out of a 24/7 cast 1 week ago. All the negatives you mention.. I’m saying them to myself too! Those same things! And YES!! I need to flip back to my celebratory mindset too when I catch myself being my self destructive body critic! This video, your comment, hearing these things.. it’s like somehow I have this notion I’m the only person thinking and doing such things. Ty for the inspiration, mind boost, sharing your story.. and most of all, CONGRATS on your progress!
Erin! You’re so amazing and inspiring! I have been a stay a home mom of 5 for about 13 years and have definitely lost myself. This last year I decided it’s time to find me again. I ran a marathon and started school for real estate. I’m studying for my exam now and I am inspired by this. It’s my year! 🎉
Congratulations!! Mom here too and work from home. Two kids now but I’ve started weight lifting and lost all weight and built muscle. We can do it!!!! We choose our hard!!
Amazing how many Biblical truths are here! Im meditating on verses about joy! Philipians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. 1 Theselonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Our words: Proverbs 18:21 the tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit. There are many verses about lying and truth telling...amazing how modern scientific experiments confirm the truths expressed by God in scripture thousands of years ago. Thanks for sharing your insights.
This was so empowering! I really appreciate how you talk about the connection between style, fashion AND mental health and self-love. You're practically the only style expert I will watch anymore because you teach that a beautiful inside is the most important step to great style. Love the Busbee Team!
Thank you!! You are a beautiful, positive light in this world. I needed to hear all of those "don'ts", especially stopping negative self-talk and criticizing every glance in the mirror. Thank YOU for taking risks and playing big, so we can all benefit from your content! You give us a lot to think about, whether it's fashion or motivation. What a blessing! 💖
Not falling for becoming invisible really speaks to me at 55. And I love your thoughts on redefining the social norms/narratives about women over 40-100 and beyond. I talk to my teen girls about not letting negative social norms/narratives discourage them. But I don’t do the same for myself. Thank you!💜
Oh I would love that! I always feel that I think "It's not going to look good on me". I'm not in a good place in my life. I'm turning 50 in a few months. I want to feel that though I have a few kilos extra can look good.
She’s not plus size though and I’ve not seen her use models, other than herself, so it would be rather difficult. There are many plus size influencers out there though.
Erin you are so right regarding the visibility. When you age you become invisible and you don’t want to be visible because you don’t like your image for plenty of reasons and you hide yourself or you think that you do no deserve to have beautiful clothes or too visible clothes. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this amazing, AMAZING pep talk to start the year! Such fantastic advice, and so much heart, I teared up a couple of times. I'm 49 years old and so much of what you said resonates deeply with me. I am so rooting for your yacht birthday (and mine too!) 💞💞💞
I have always admired well dressed women but never imagined myself as one. I wore hand-me-downs and whatever cheap clothes my family could afford. I had no idea about fashion. Thanks to your videos I have learned some wonderful and useful tips. I recently purchased a beautiful blue blazer which I wore over my blue striped shirt with some Kut from the kloth jeans, in not a style I would have bought before I watched your video. I wore some shiny booties in a cool saddle tan color and added a bold, large link necklace. I went to the mall to exchange some too small shoes and I noticed several women give me "that" look and once-over. I felt like a success. I knew that I had created a super outfit. Thank you so much. Just beginning but definitely finding my style
Erin your radiant presence is becoming more visible as you unfold into this beautiful current version of yourself & it's so magnetic. So many great points here, at tip to add to the helpful points you made in the video is that this is the perfect time of year to write down all the specific goals in mind. For me this includes shedding some extra energy I've been carrying around since the pandemic, so important for me was to come to a place where my weight/looks do not define me as the last couple yrs have been difficult and a great opportunity to grow spiritually & as a person as a whole. Tips- getting rid of unused old stuff to make way for more life has been my number ONE tip, (one I wish I had done sooner), going through my closet and remove all the clothes that do not fit, & realizing all those clothes looking back at me for the last few years has been a real drag. Now the most beloved garments reside in the guest room closet that I can revisit later. I too have been practicing being a light, smiling at strangers, letting my divine light radiate out and moving away from outfits & behaviors where I have been "hiding". Thanks so much for your authenticity, 💐💛
Your words are so important! We need to hear this! Yes you hit the nail on the head... I am currently working with a beautiful 18 yr young lady. The amount of insecurities I hear her talk about as she compares herself to people on the internet is truly heartbreaking!! I am praying for her and I hope I can help her understand how beautiful she is! I talked to her about how we are all individuals and the world would be a boring place if we were all the same! When I think of this it brings tears to my eyes! I have three Granddaughters and four Grandsons and I want them to be healthy and happy! Yes we all have stuff we are insecure about! My New Year's resolution is to give more compliments and watch people's faces light up! Remember Your opinion of me is none of my business!! This is by far my favorite video..Thank you Erin!!
Thank You! I took notes. You said a lot of things a lot of us need to hear. I was gonna pay a life coach $3000 but I watched this video instead. At 55 I feel old and frumpy and invisible at times. I'm going on a cruise in 2 weeks and I have been working on my wardrobe options. Thank you so much for the encouragement! I want to feel pretty and comfortable in my clothes. I'm going on vacation, the last thing I want is frumpy. I love wearing pretty clothes and shoes and am chunky, so it takes a lot to get to that comfort spot. My mom told me once I only need a few outfits to wear on vacation- I laughed. YOU only need a few outfits, I need as many as it takes to feel fresh and pretty! OK, I'm big on wearing flowers in my hair, that's my secret to sending joy to the world.
My goal this year (again) is to surround myself with more good people and to keep putting myself out there even when it is uncomfortable. It worked so well last year. I can’t help but smile thinking about how great last year was. Thank you for this helpful video
Thank you, this is absolutely beautiful 💜 I feel like I stopped living after I turned 40 😢. Now I’m almost 50, and I have started a self care journey, looking at life differently, I have started online courses to further my career. Thank you! This message resonates with me at this time in my life!! And yes!! Let’s stop the disappearance of women after 40!! This is an amazing time, it’s time to take our lives back! ❤
Yes on smiling. People are constantly telling me I draw people to me because I always look so radiantly happy...well it is genuine. I TOO am an introvert but have pushed myself to take social risks to speak first, engage in long conversation, etc. Very recently I lost my beloved mate of 41 yrs. 5 mos ago, BUT I choose to remember how happy we were. I already got waaayyy more than my share of joy, adventure, and love in this life....all I have to do is look around me at all the beauty in my life and I smile. Mynhappimess and joy thst I had before he died have returned. I will ALWAYS love him,,always wish he were here but also I WILL be happy it is HIS legacy. He GAVE me this happiness and I owe it to him to not let it slip away.
I am so sorry for the loss of your husband...What a truly beautiful outlook you have on the time you had with him, though! I'm honored to read your story and I can feel the love you have for him. Thank you so much for sharing this here with me. xo
As AMERICANS, Canadians, etc etc we have SO SO much more than than so many on this planet. THIS is what we learn from travel. Not to beautiful European cities so much, but to rural Central America, South America, Africa and so any places. Not trying to guilt anyone here. I LIVE in Central America now in retirement and it takes a long time to adjust. At first we feel almost ill when we see extreme poverty, then if we are lucky enough to get to know the PEOPLE in these siuations we develop deep respect for them...their struggles yes, are more than ours, but what matters MOST to them are their families..there are many good and joyous poor people. They dont crave what we crave because they have not had it...they dont yearn for.it. They look forward to holidays MORE than we do and what they have they are thankful for. And they really know how to treasure beauty in their life. There is nothing to get one's head on straight about material things like spending some time in such a place. I love beautiful things as much as anyone and I am not ashamed of having them...but I love these indigenous people around me as well. I have a joyous life. But as a clinical psychologist I know that people who seem to have more, dont necessarily have that joy...it comes from within and people who have it radiate a light that cannot be bought.
Erin, you are SO right with this message. I just upgraded my sneakers to the white leather Sam Edelmans and they are so comfortable right from the box and they make me feel and look great! I struggle so much with footwear, so, I used your recommendation and I am so glad that I did! I am making an intention to speak up more in group conversations. I put that into practice recently, letting the group know that "the good ol' days" were NOT GOOD for everyone. Let's keep the momentum going! Thank you for your positivity. Happy New Year!
Hi Julia! I see that you liked the white sneakers that Erin recommended and I love that idea. I am trying to find which ones those were and see several different styles. Do you know the name/which ones they were in that line? Thank you so much if you don’t mind!
This was so lovely 🧡 I love when you said,” you are a snowflake”. I think so many need to hear all of this. I have told you before that I am a Holistic Master Esthetician of almost 40 years and I share this because I see things and hear things everyday that break my heart. I am to old I am not pretty I have wrinkles I am not worthy We have got to share more of this… you are a special snowflake! Do not change your face yourself for ridiculous beauty standards set by social media, a beauty industry and marketing. I am almost 57 and accepting this process of age is key. I had to change how I ate. I had to work out more. I had to take even better care of my skin and muscles of my face. But inevitably it’s about self love and not wanting to be someone else or 20 or look like everyone else. I am a creator here and I also needed to hear this. The beauty channels are a tough space and it can be very hard to stay the course of natural and real. Yes BE THE LIGHT! Always turn around and bring another women up not down. Thank you. Blessings to you and everyone here, YOU ARE ENOUGH 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
THANK YOU I needed this today! I was about to go down the rabbit hole of self doubt. Now it is all about being thankful for what I have and looking forward to more happiness.
I am so glad you got to see this video at just the right time. You deserve that happiness today and always, Carol! Sending you the biggest virtual hug! xo
Happy 2023 Erin & Everyone 🥂✨ As a child, School Shopping w/my mother refined & defined my personal style... She'd tell me " You have expensive feet" AA/AAA width... Mass produced footwear mostly begins w/medium width... 'High End' footwear was more accommodating... Clothes shopping equally challenging... Most pcs had to be custom fit... I still hear Nadines' voice (my mom) asking " Where are you going to wear 'such-n-such' "... Alterations included in pricier departments... 'Price per wear' is a phrase I learned from RU-vid... I've lived a "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" lifestyle, dressing high/low for 5 decades now... I truly appreciate the perspective you have been sharing w/our community... Feeling like the Star of ones Life can be a Challenge... But, Oh So Worth It 💗🧡💛💜
Hi Erin ♥️ I love the emphasis on self-love and wellbeing in this video. Well done. I hope many new viewers will watch it, it is so relevant. For me, the part about appreciating your body no matter what is what I must work on most.
Thank you for sharing these 10 don'ts, Erin! Style is about so much more than the clothes we wear... how we show up for ourselves plays a huge role in how we show up in the world. Thanks again for such awesome advice.
I can't express how happy I am to find you. Not only are you beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well. I've been watching alot of style videos lately in search of ideas, but none have gone beyond simply telling me to buy clothes from expensive and trendy stores. When I go out and be with people one thing I always keep in mind. Messages that the Universe wants for me come from people. Not trees, rocks, etc. People. I never know if the most significant message I must hear will come from the produce person at the market, the man who pumps my gas at the gas station, the bank teller.....It saddens me to realize how many people think these people are unimportant or even worst, just existing to serve their needs. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT interaction of my day may come from a seemingly unimportant vehicle. The Universe works in unexpected and miraculous ways...if you remain open. And remember that YOU may be the most significant person someone else meets in their day. Be the light...yes, yes, yes!!! I look forward to exploring more videos by you!! Thank you!
My goal for 2023 is to make my business thrive! And dressing to make myself feel great will help me achieve that goal. Even if no one sees me in my fabulous outfits, it will make me feel more confident and ready to tackle anything.
The comparison don’t was so important! We are all beautiful and unique. I know it’s human nature to compare, but it truly is the thief of joy. As I’ve gotten older I realize I don’t have the time or energy to compare. I love me and that’s good enough. Thank you Erin, you’re amazing and beautiful just the way you are.💜
One of the reasons I follow you is that I find you very authentic. Although that's a rather catch phrase way of putting it, I find even your earlier videos show your personality and your passion quite clearly; and that you yourself have not changed or morphed into what is on trend or stylish, or what you (or others) think your followers want. And...... it is awesome that you are confident enough to take us on your journey through your ups and downs. I follow very few people, but your style, personality and honesty resonate with me.
This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear right now. Thank you so much! I love that we can all support each other in supporting ourselves and "not playing small." 2023 is OUR YEAR! (And 2024 will be too.)
These are great life tips! I try to always dress in clothes that I like, and not blend in most of the time, and yes, it is uncomfortable to get all eyes on you because you’re not sure if they’re silently judging you but once in a while, I have another female in my age bracket complimenting what I’m wearing, and I think to myself good I encouraged her to step out of her shell as well. It is all about empowering other women I wish more of our female counterparts would see it that way.
Yes this wonderful when a woman comes up,to me and asks where I buy my clothes. I buy vintage inexpensive specialty items and mix with the basics items that look BEST on me.
I am 47 and I have a 17 year old daughter. I have shared with her many times that I believe confidence and self love are the most important foundations for a fantastic outfit. Then, we build it out from there! If the outfit doesn’t make you want to strut, put it back on the rack!I plan to share your video with her as you have shared this message so eloquently! Thank you for reminding me to continue to revisit this both for myself and my daughter!
Loved this video tremendously.I wish you could be a mentor to everyone including children. You are just so wise, mindful, beautiful, intelligent and your kindness towards others is so beautiful! Thank you for being such an important influence in my life.❤😊
Dear Erin, that was just AMAZING!!!!! I started this "TRIP"/"PROCESS" three decades ago... still working on it, every single day. There are still small steps to do every single day and I LOVE doing these steps. It´s FUN, It´s LIBERATING! I feel my best in my 52. Still have days I do not feel as comfy as I wish, but the working on all these 10 things is definitely worth it! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for making this amazing video! Love you ❄
Well done, Erin! This message should be listened to often by anyone in search of thier misplaced bliss. Thank you for such a thoughtful and thorough video❤
Hi Erin, I think I was supposed to find your video today- thank you universe! I’m 61 & care for my 90 year old Dad who is in hospital right now. I’ve been looking after everyone else for soooo long that my needs are buried down deep to the point that I have no idea what they are anymore. I’m a bit sad & lost inside, but you have inspired me to think about myself & what I really want, so thank you sincerely. I always enjoy your fashion & beauty input , today however, please know you have literally made a difference. Bravo 👏😊
Wow! I am humbled by your comment... and honored to be even a small part of your journey. SO glad this was inspiring for you at just the perfect time... Thank you so much for sharing that with me, Cathy. xo
Thank you Erin, outstanding video this week, I am guilty of all 10, especially body shaming! Your words really resonated with me and have given me the inspiration I really needed. I want to be an interior decorator but have never had the confidence, at 59 and an empty nester, I often feel insignificant, your video really made my day.💗💗Amy
I am so glad this was inspiring for you, Amy! Thanks so much for sharing your story and your dream here. Writing it down and sharing with others helps to make it into a reality! xo
I so appreciate you today in this video because I am having my off and emotional day and YOU came through to remind me to be visible, shine through, smile and be bold with my colors! Literally, I felt within this past week that I need to wear more colors and less black so I don’t absorb the negativity. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for being you and where your beautiful mindset is to penetrate through MEE! I am more positive but we have our days of blahh and you really picked me up today! LOVE it! Sending you much love and kindness! ❤❤❤
Erin, This is one of the best videos I've ever seen.!! Many women are struggling with just paying the bills and maybe health or family issues. For them going to Paris for a year may not be realistic and many may have to continue to struggle but ofcourse they can still do or not do many of the things you said. Can you do a second part of this video on ways women can do some of the things you suggested but on a limited income. (especially visible clothes on a small income)
Thank you so much for your sweet words. We all have our own unique desires and goals. As far as finding clothing you love on a limited budget... I'd suggest shopping second hand, looking for high quality brands and staying very diligent on only buying things you truly LOVE and feel great in, that will last. SO glad you enjoyed this video and I'm SO glad you are here! xo
Love this video!!! When I felt insecure after my baby I compared myself. Now I have two kids and extremely fit. Size 0 116 pounds and a pro out almost daily. I chose my hard! No longer comparing or feel insecure! We need to take care of our bodies! Nobody else will and especially in regard to health. You are worthy!!
I know the metal genre is not for everyone, but metal is my heart song and it’s honestly so comforting for me (I am of course selective in my taste, as with any genre, so I certainly don’t resonate with every single metal band/song/album out there). The lyrics and instrumentals I listen to are very empowering. ❤️ It always helps me through difficulties in life, and it supports my strength and passion for life everyday. 😊 I really love and appreciate all of your points! ❤ You’re a beautiful person and your positivity, encouragement, creativity, authenticity, and humility is always a breath of fresh air! 🤗😘
You are absolutely gorgeous! I adore you and your videos are spot on. I am 71 yrs young and I feel like I am just now growing up.i love life and having fun even when pain makes me feel like a wreck. I wish for this and that but it doesn't consume my thoughts, today my wonderful husband and I are celebrating the 54th anniversary of our first date.we celebrate and laugh over the silliest things and it makes the day smoother.pure love and how lucky we are. He is always telling me how beautiful I am. I have learned to say thank you honey which was hard. All of are worth having love life and sheer happiness I wish I could have you each in my home for a loud, laughing good time.i wish for you all the best .BTW this is my first time to post but I've been here for a very long time. hugs
I am SO glad you are here and truly appreciate your genuine support. Thanks for taking the time to leave such a beautiful and heartfelt comment. LOVE hearing a bit about you and your dear husband. Enjoy your special day! xo
Thank you dear,I appreciate your kindness and time. I did receive a reply by email by one of your team.i think it was before we went back to Italy to visit family.. maybe 2019 but I'm not sure. I appreciated it.. you're truly a lovely spirit and I know your family especially your husband adores you. .you mean a lot to all of us. have a joyous day. Be well and take care of yourself..sherry
Wow. Powerful. Emotional. Thank you. ❤❤❤ For my 50th I wanted to go to London by myself and look for historical artifacts in the Thames and see the sights and then meet my BFF for the rest of the trip around southern England. Despite being a mom of two, wife, small business owner. Despite a global pandemic…I did it. It was the most thrilling thing that I’ve ever personally done just for me. I just know we will see you on that yacht in those flowing fabrics. And you will be glorious 😉 ❤
Such great tips! I think one of the best things about growing older is that I can look back on my life and see ways in which I've become a better person over time. I'm more patient, kinder, less judgmental etc. Thanks for the pep talk! I intend to re-watch and take your advice to heart to see if there are things I could improve right now. Thanks for uplifting other women. We all need it!
Your different approach…talking to us…you have made me feel so much better and I love your channel. Do you ever show items that are similar and yet cheaper? It would help me on a budget.
Thanks for reaching out, Helen! We always work hard to provide options for less in each video's description box. You'll see the exact item and then underneath it a link for "Similar For Less". We do this on each blog post as well and offer exclusive looks for less each Friday on the site as well (BusbeeStyle.com). I hope this helps! xo
Oh, you just said it all. I'm in that moment in life that "it's now or never" and I want so much... to travel, to walk along the beach, read more, laugh more, love more... Forget the pains of the past and feel free to live today. Love you ⚘️
First of all, you look beautiful! Thank you for sharing this Inspirational message. Would you share your awesome makeup look, your skin looks flawless. Next, the manifesting principle you mentioned, is that something that you learned from a certain podcast, book, life coach..... Please do a video on that, am sure many of us are excited to learn more!
I'm working on a new short makeup tutorial to share soon! In the meantime, here is a recent full video for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rCF-I34Kclc.html I've got more information on manifestation and my own healing journey here in these videos as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QTChx5jfNYs.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BYA8h5KcTBg.html Hope this is helpful for you, Victoria! xo
Erin, you say don't wear things you don't love. I am amazed how many influencers say this and it just leaves me cold. I don't have anything in my closet that I "love"! I never find clothes that fit or flatter or that I love. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong, but I don't think I'm alone in this.
Oh Erin, I have to write more comments: I saw your video about our inner goddesses before and it is absolutely my passion I think more and more. I told it a friend and while she read it she starts to glow - so I think it is also mine. THIS comment is about „nor be afraid“ and to buy something… the events will come. Like magic (manifestation magic) I‘m invited to an event I dreamed of. Now I’m looking for an outfit for the party. I thought „oh, but I cannot wear it anywhere else“… now I’m get excited. You are so right. The events will find me to wear it! ❤
Have always felt too old for this or that since I was 15, but I did it anyway. Yet, I continue to feel too old for dressing as I want. So thank you for your words that motivate me to do it anyway. Bless you. Keep shining - you are beautiful!
Why do I feel like she's my best friend?? This is so comforting to watch. Such great inspiration. Her voice is so calming. Her point of view is so genuine. Her delivery is so sincere. Although Erin, I am a fan of heavy metal, but I get what you're sayin. lol. ❤ Btw, who needs therapy when you can just watch Erin?? 😉
Erin, I looooove the way you empower women, with all of your videos, but this is the most empowering one! As for me, I got my master's degree in my 40s, I'm past 50 and in my PhD training, I stay away from gossiping, and love complimenting on others, especially women, and watch them react to it (most of the time they look for excuses and cannot accept compliments, I mean at all). I'm trying to continue to live by the other rules you mentioned.
I love what you said about how your dream may not look how you imagined but not to give it up. I would add, when you do achieve things, let that sink in rather than minimizing the win because it’s not exactly as you planned it. For YEARS I wanted to be a novelist because I thought that was my path toward escaping the office and making a living on my own terms as a writer. Now I am an independent science and technical writer making more money, earning more appreciation, and learning more than I ever did in any “regular” job. Even so, it took probably three or four years to recognize, hey, I actually DID achieve my dream. It’s not conventionally exciting or romantic, but it is liberating and thrilling for me-and that counts a heck of a lot more than impressing anyone with my job description.
Bravo Erin, this is a very inspiring video and one that should be viewed by every woman ALIVE!!!!!. You hit a home run, a touchdown, a Goalllllllllllllll. Viva Erin
I feel like I just got a Big Pep Talk…. which I need…. Been there do that w/ All 10 of these Don’t’s…. I’m 67 & wish I would have gotten out of a not so good marriage yrs ago but here I am trying to find new ways to find happiness everyday…. U r helping all of us women to have more Confidence in ourselves & takes some risks we might not have 👍😊
Thank you so much for your message of positivity this morning. It really made me realize how bad I feel when I am constantly bombarded with angry videos about things that don't mean that much to me - like why am I inviting in this energy?! I very much believe in the law of attraction and now see how the content I consume can tie into that in a big way (I always forget about that snowflake experiment but its always so powerful in context when someone like you reminds me!). Also THANK YOU SO MUCH for your words about worthiness!!! We are all divine and worthy of happiness, joy and abundance! Have a blessed year and look forward to watching more of your videos!! ❤
My Childhood, Ultimate Dream just came true at 55!!! So Erin is 100% right. It can happen, you have believe it will happen. I was cast in a Professional Ballet, The Nutcracker as the Russian Mother. I was on stage for 45min dancing with Pro dancers in a huge beautiful theatre with a Orchestra Playing. I cannot tell you the magic of living in that dream and being awake. I truly believe that everyone can have their dreams realized. Keep Dreaming Ladies. Lots of Love. Erin, Yoga Burn is Fantastic!!!😊💝💝💝
Hi Erin. I feel so lucky when i discorver your channel in my late 30s. I appreciate your sharing, especially your advice about your mental health. It’s relaxing to listen to your voice. Great video! Thanks.
This is so empowering! I know it's geared toward those 40 and up, but I think my 13 year old will benefit from your wisdom. I realized a lot of what you said that is happening at 40 also happens at 13 (body changing, not feeling comfortable in your skin, etc). Thank you for sharing your pearls.
OMG !! I can't imagine how much simple, deep and honest you were in this video. and for sure this video will effect my 2023 in a better way...Thank you so much for this real, deep content.
I love how all of this is beauty from the inside, and taking care of our spirit. I'm turning 48 in 2 weeks so now I'm also thinking about how I'd like to spend my 50th. Can't wait to see you celebrating on your yacht! Cheers to our midlife awakening!
Erin this video was such a loving, beautiful gift. Sharing your own self doubts is an honest vulnerable lesson for many people. From this end, we may think that you’ve got it all, but we’ve all weaknesses and strengths, as you’ve shared. We can stand together, without judging and create more loving energy to create a better future.🙏🏼❤
What a great video. Thank you for spreading your light in this world ❤ Boundary Boss and The Way of Integrity were two books that really got to the heart of my issues and continued my journey of healing.
