Here are my top 5 strategies to make killer sales on Poshmark! If you are looking for tips on how to make daily sales on Poshmark you've come to the right place. I have been selling on the app since May, 2012. At the time of releasing this video that means I have been on the app close to 9 years! Wow! I have learned a lot over that time and have tried out countless strategies to make more sales on Poshmark. YAY MACY! Always the best tips from a pro reseller!! $40,000 ON POSH!!! That's such a crazy number, congrats to you 🎉 Agree these OTL strategies are super helpful. I usually just send an OTL with no message through the bundle feature, but I'll start sending the personalized message again. I tried it for awhile a few months ago but then got lazy and stopped. I'll try again 😂 Interesting that you notice a big difference in sales when you have 700+ items available, makes sense! I wonder if there are posh gods that rule in our favor when we have X number of listings. Anyway, thanks so much for these amazing tips Macy! Keep killing it! 💜

I know it's hard to keep up with the personal message. I sometimes let it get away from me as well. It really helps bring in sales though, if ever you need a boost! Yes! Having lots of items for sale just means that I have more options in any given size so I have a much higher likelyhood of having multiple pairs of size 8 jeans or multiple size large American Eagle sweaters. Then when people find one thing they like from my closet they can easily find more :) I don't know how much I believe in the posh gods LOL. Thank you so much as always for watching Taylor!!

You are totally right though, I wish it was a little bit easier to find so that everybody knew how it worked from their first day on the app. It is still a bit confusing.

Yassss Macy! You always give the best tips 😍🥰 ever since you told me about that first strategy after we did our hangout I think, I swear by it! It helps me make so many sales over on Posh for sure 🎉 since you try to send everything immediately, do you have notifications turned on your phone to not get overwhelmed at night? Or the notifications overwhelm you more? 🤗 Another question, how much time would you say all these strategies take you on a weekly basis? Do you feel like you’ve neglected certain strategies due to focusing more on YT? I know I have for sure since 3 videos a week is so demanding 😭 I feel like I need to work better on dropping the prices of my stale items weekly and sending offers on my *entire* closet weekly but I do prioritize adding new items and relisting items. Anywho, just curious about where you feel like your time is divvied up the most with each of these strategies 🤗 I know the ones I’m gonna be working on this week 🤓 so thank you for your lovely video! I'm so glad the offers to likers & communication strategy is working for you Brittani! I only have notifications on for offers and sales but I check the app frequently throughout the day whenever I have a bit of free time. Usually when I'm watching a YT video, I'll be multitasking sending offers out on my phone. I have definitely put the weekly tasks of 20% offers to likers and price drops on the backburner since starting YT, which is okay because I'm not getting as many listings up so I don't mind my items sitting a bit longer. Whenever I'm listing a lot I want to move items quickly and those strategies really bring in the sales (though at a lower profit than there is potential for). The daily offers to likers and creating bundles for people are definitely the most time consuming strategies, possibly even an hour a day? The weekly whole closet tasks probably take around 2-3 hours each. Thanks so much for watching and for your comment :)

So I watched this. I do a lot of offers, but never comment much on bundles. I did the whole explanation of the discount you described on someone with an old bundle... and within the hour SALE! I did this for a few bundles I have, so I’ll see if more comes in from it, but yay! It worked!

@@Elahnah.Reseller Hi, I made a new account in the US. You will need a US address a company that ship to the US. I use Stallion They gave me the US address. I also use TransferWise to get paid. My items get to the customer in the time allowed. My only issue is I have to drive about 30 mins to drop off my packages. I hope that helps, please reach out if you have any more questions😉

I did try to send offers but only few accepted. Unfortunately too many buyers looking for 30-50-70% OFF I get so many low offers I don’t even respond. But also I found many sellers send very low offers to other sellers. At the same time some of them sell similar items for much more. Like I had offer 2 days ago for new Nike retail 170 so I got 50 dollars offer. I think many of you have same issue

Great tips. I noticed that a lot of high volume sellers have taken away from the platforms message of social selling. Many aren’t sharing other people’s closets and only care about their own sales. I see lots of sales just by sharing other’s closets simply because the love I give is the the I get. Poshmark sellers, especially the successful one’s have become a bit selfish. I love that you offer to individuals as it makes you take the time to socialize and keep within the mission of Poshmark

Sending out offers the same day is a great way to make some sales. In Poshmark's IPO documentation they actually state that 70% of sales on their site come from offers to likers.

When are the closet clear out days? Are these designated by poshmark?

Hi! The closet clearout days are on Fridays and Sundays. Sometime I see another closet clearout on Tuesday or Wednesday but it doesn’t always happen.

There are so many things about bundles I didn't know for a really long time. Yes! I thought so too. Each device has a different view and it also takes different amounts of time to share on each device, which is interesting. I think the ipad is the fastest for sharing! Hi - what about if I want to send the same bundle offer to more than one Liker at the same time? IE if four people like one item - the same item - and then I add a couple similar items to the bundle so I’ve created a bundle of three items, do I have to do the bundle over and over again for each liker or can I send all of the Likers the same bundle easily? its been a while since I have gone through stale listings but decided it was time. started lower things and touching up photos. Ended up getting some sales! I cant do bundles yet but maybe one day :P I have thought about making my own bundles for people since men a lot of the time dont have time for fashion, but it would be too difficult finding a buyer that sizes up perfectly with every item.

Nice! Giving stale listings a little TLC is all they need sometimes to get the sale. Even a relist can help. Interesting about bundles. For ebay I would think lots of similar items by the same brand and in the same size would do well. Maybe if there are certain shirts you find frequently you can start putting them to the side until you have multiples and then sell as lots for more money? Idk just a thought.

@@BlueConsignment Yeah I do lots sometimes depending on the brands. It would be interesting to have a whole wardrobe bundle with a shirt, pants, shoes, belt, watch, the whole outfit but it would be too difficult to size everything perfectly for the buyer.

When you offer a 20% bundle discount, do you tell them that they must have at least two items or can I just buy through the bundle the one item and get the 20% off? I can see why that can be confusing can you explain that?

Hi! No, personally when I run a sale I just create one listing. Then I make sure it is at the top of my closet and share that listing with anybody that has liked an item recently to inform them of the sale. I hope that helps!

For me the biggest take away from the video was creating a bundle for every like in order to increase communication. I am going to try that and see what happens. Also the graft where you show sales in conjunction with listings was very helpful! I always knew that the more you list the more you sell but when you have it in a graft form it makes it to understand. It’s more motivating to keep on listing. My new goal is 750 listings!!

Hi Gabriela! I don't think I've talked about relisting yet on my channel! I relist frequently for Ebay and Mercari but don't feel its quite as necessary for Poshmark. I don't relist very often on Poshmark because I would rather use that time on other activities but I have heard from others that it can be helpful. Can you do a video for Mercari. For listing what you pick for shipping and weight. How you pick and do your shipping after a sell? Also a video strictly for selling on EBay? I’m wanting to start cross listing but Mercari and EBay are so much more complicated and scary with shipping. Also how EBay works with selling fees etc... Thank you and love your videos!! 🙂🙂

Hi! Thank you so much for the suggestions. I will plan for those videos :) To give you a general idea of how I do it though; for both Ebay and Mercari I weigh my items on a shipping scale before listing so that I know if I need first class or priority mail shipping. You can get a shipping scale for pretty cheap off of ebay or amazon. If the item I am selling weighs 1 pound or less I can ship with USPS first class and if it is over 1 pound I ship USPS priority mail. Then when listing on ebay or mercari I just choose whichever shipping option I am using from the drop down list. I hope that helps a little bit!

Thanks so much for that video. Helped a lot. So I have a question, I have an item posted to poshmark that is listed as $275, It's actually lower that where I have seen it listed on other sights including poshmark. I keep getting really low ball offers, like $75-100. I always counter offer, usually around $220-225 plus a shipping discount. My offer is always declined. How do you handle more expensive listings that won't sell but still make a profit? Thank you!

Hi! I'm so sorry for the slow reply. You have probably sold your item by now but thought I would respond anyways. People are always going to try to get a deal, regardless of price it seems. I pretty much just assume that anyone that offers less than half of my asking price isn't going to purchase for a reasonable price. That way it is a happy surprise when they are willing to come up. For higher priced items it always just feels like a waiting game for the right buyer with a ton of low ball swatting along the way. If a high priced item isn't selling I will typically make sure its crosslisted everywhere and then relist frequently.

It would be a lot to explain over comments but pretty much when the money you make from reselling overtakes the amount you are making from your regular job it might make sense to make the switch over to full time reselling. I do have a video of why I personally went full time and how my first year reselling full time ended up playing out if you're interested. Hi Joanna! I personally don't drop my prices lower than $7 on Poshmark and the items are typically added to my 3/$15 sale when they reach $10.

So you offer 10% on an offer to liker with shipping discount? But if they bundle they get 20% with no shipping discount?

Yep, that is correct. Usually the 20% off saves them quite a bit more than the $2.12 off shipping does. Depending on the bundle, if the buyer asks for a shipping discount along with the 20% bundle discount, I give it to them.

@@pearlbhon631 Both? I’m not sure about in-person assistants, that would depend on the typical wage in your area. If you want to hire a virtual assistant, I would suggest using the site Upwork to hire one. Virtual assistants will apply to your job posting and give you their wage. If you have the job posting open to a worldwide audience then you will most likely receive wages between $4 - $25 per hour.

I love your channel that I just discovered... Curious about your assertion regarding having more listings.....ie listing more equates to more sales.. Im wondering if you factored in re-listing?? I struggle with "the more you have listed the more sales you have possible"....mainly because of the sharing component of Poshmark. I believe people shop from the "just in" tab....which is why relisting old items matters.. Curious if you have a video about this?? or maybe consider doing one. Thanks for your info

Hi! I'm so sorry for the slow reply, I took a break from RU-vid. I believe that listing more absolutely equates to more sales. People have more options to shop from you. If sharing is becoming too much of a burden I would consider hiring a virtual assistant to share for you. I have done that otherwise sharing would definitely be a roadblock to growing my business. That's okay! You make killer sales on ebay and other platforms :) Poshmark requires quite a bit of work to make sales. You have to share your items daily (or pay someone else to share for you, which is what I do) and then on top of that do some of the things I mention in this video. It is quite time consuming but does pay off in sales. Poshmark added a kids toys section not too long ago. If you wanted to try selling some of your plushies on there, they actually might do really well, especially leading up to Christmas! What have you tried selling on Poshmark in the past?

@@BlueConsignment Sorry girl. I got sidetracked. Busy busy. 😧 Okay, so 1 of Posh's "Rules of Ettiqutte" is Don't SPAM ppl based on a like. We are just supposed to send an offer. It is all explained in their ROE. Me personally I am speaking on now- is I don't like it when I see somebody "styling" me just bc I liked 1 or more of their item's. It's like "Don't assume", if that makes sense? I have never enjoyed being prodded by pushy sales people and again- this is just my personal POV- but I think it is pushy when seller's message me and pressure me to buy, simply based on my like(s). I hope I explained that good enough. P.S. I think you do an excellent job on your video's, just FYI. You are one of my favorite re-seller's to watch, which is a huge compliment, bc there are A LOT of y'all. Lol

@@Catch-qn3xh Thanks for taking the time to explain! I just checked out Poshmark’s rules of etiquette again as it’s been a while since I’ve read them. I found one that said “Don’t spam or self promote on other people’s listings”, which I don’t do, but wasn’t able to find the one you mentioned relating to likers. If I’m missing it please let me know. I personally do not consider it spam since the person has expressed interest in my listing by liking the item. I’m not messaging them out of the blue. By sending them a message I am communicating to this potential buyer that I am 1. Open to communication and will be responsive if they have any questions. 2. Let’s them know I’m active on the app so they won’t have any issues with their item being sent out if they decide to purchase. 3. Let’s potential buyers know about my bundle discount, which is especially helpful for new poshers as it can be a confusing part of the app and I sometimes get questions on how to use it. 4. Leads to more sales than when I don’t communicate. I don’t mean to annoy anyone with my message. If someone shows interest in my items I simply want to open communication with my potential customer. Most people ignore the message which is totally fine. Other people respond, ask questions, or decide to make a purchase because of my message and as a business owner that is my goal. I really appreciate you watching my videos and I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my content. Thank you so much!
