@@Sumnerstrain mid 30s, i think i am young enough sir. My mother come from strict catholic school upbringing coupled with Chinese roots. Definitely no slouching, leaning, putting hands in pockets, etc.
There is a proper way to be comfortable in a suit and there is the wrong way. Yes, you can put your hand in your PANT pocket but NOT in your jacket pocket… EVER. This leads to sagging and sometimes men’s suits do not have this gesture and is just there for an adornment. If the jacket has vertical openings, then you can slip your hands in since it follows the shape and form of the wrist. The only other thing he said that was correct was that a phone should not go inside your front or rear pocket but rather inside your chest pocket if it is a need to have carried. As a former writer for men’s style and fashion, there are simple rules that just make sense but individuals like this guy believe are correct actually make you look like you bought a suit on clearance from JCP and can’t figure out what color shoes to match with a blue suit or know what a houndstooth jacket is paired with.
I don't recommend placing your hand in a side pocket. Over time it will stretch the pocket out and it won't look good. The pockets are mostly cosmetic.
Also keep your stopwatch wound, the ready chamber of your Colt Single Action Revolver unloaded, and wear something under your chainmail so it doesn’t burn you in the sun!
@@federationofbread This happens all the time. No one else has caught on that lamellar is actually the best. covers as much as plate, is as maneuverable as scale, and is easier to make than chain.
@@thatonecanofsunkistintheba2558 the people who dress the sloppiest and have the worst looking bodies are american. Suits are made to fit the optimal male shape, most americans are extremely out of shape and dress sloppy as a result. So it usually has a lot to do with it.
That's open for debate as some prefer the full break, and some prefer to have it fall right on the shoes or right on the ankle bone. It's a matter of preference and style. Also it depends on the occasion to wear socks. To me in business occasions you wear socks and black shoes, and therefor darker colour suits, navy mid grey, or darker. The biggest mistake he made is to match the tie with the colour of the suit. That's not okay.
@@parthivchakraborty8253 that’s again a matter of debate. You can go for what I call the American presidents cut. Or the British right on the shoes or modern somewhat sartorial take is to cut it shorter. My trousers are all cut onto the ankle bone. I find the presidential to have a sloppy look and diminish the shoes a lot. But again this is rather a matter of choice and preferences.
@@stephenwouw8624 the point however is to make sure that no part of your leg is seen once you walk or sit with your legs folded and/or crossed, as can be seen in this video and this is a rule for any formal setting that cannot be brushed off as a mere 'choice'. Then, it (pants cut shorter) must be accompanied by crew or mid calf socks to reveal nothing underneath!
I don’t put the hand in the suit pocket, but rather the pants pocket. You move your jacket a little farther off and come of a lil more casual. Always the thumb out tho.
Except GG knows how to properly fit a suit, this guy doesn't. That jacket sits terribly on his shoulders. When it comes to suits, GG is unmatched, their knowledge of fabrics, history, colors and fit puts them in other level.
Never, ever, ever, ever put a hand in your pocket. Especially suit jacket pocket. They're for decoration and using them for carrying something or hiding ur hand speak volumes of negativity about you.
@@brighamruud5090who asked? Wearing a suit is what a lot of men like, including myself, so we gonna get judged just because we like to look good? Go do your kindergarten math homework
.. a pocket watch? Maybe, if this were 17th Century London but it isn't. We all have pocket watches and they're called mobile phones. No, men don't need more PDA, we're overloaded as it is.
I judge a man by his behavior and not his timepiece. I rock a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and have done for a couple of years. I'm practical. I'm not concerned with optics and public perception of me. @@Jan_Wolf

the watch is a big one. it really completes the look. any classy looking watch will work. even a $10 one from walmart (if that even exists) as long as it looks classy, it works.
The second one really helps,i always worry when my dad goes into a job interview or a presentation for his client, that when he sits down wearing a suit, the suit SNAPS because that once happened to my dad
More like common knowledge and misinformation. Obviously you don't put a fn suit on a hanger... and if you put your hands into your jacket you will bend that garment out of shape in record fn time. .... also, a watch does fk-all for a suit. How you carry that suit and the cut of the fabric are important. He got exactly zero correct and told us not to eat yellow snow.
