Tayam is an absolutely phenomenal commander. I've been using her for about a year, and she's incredibly explosive. You can Ramp with her ability, lock down the board with cards like Pernicious Deed, or go go gadget board state and go infinite and win out of nowhere. Tayam is not to be underestimated

Had a very fun Tayam deck, but sadly was way to powerful for the playgroup. Even when trying to scale it down just the sheer power it could put out was to much. Amazing commander though, still have the deck.

Tivit is probably my highest power deck, it has a ton of artifact combo potential. And Mazirek was the commander of my insect tribal deck until Grist, the Hunger Tide came out.

yeah Wort is nuts; the past few games opponents saw a conspired Escape to the Wilds to impulse draw 15 and have 3 more land drops, whereupon they can see how exactly they will lose the game

I have a Wort deck. After about 5 games of initial testing it was dubbed “The Snap Deck”, because it spends a bit of time getting set up, but suddenly it snaps and kills all life in the universe.

My favorite part about Mazirek is that it triggers whenever _any_ permanant is sacked. Use a treasure token? Trigger. Crack a fetch land? Trigger. Next thing you know, your Viscera Seer can take a sucker punch from Emrakul.

Meren is busted by itself though. Literally saw that card create 13,000,000 tokens off three interactions. One board wipe latter doubled it. XD They are on my "kill or neuter on sight' list now.

Everyone should’ve seen mazirek coming. He was even a sub commander for meren for christ sake. If it has “sacrifice” and green black, you can bet it’s terrifying.

Bros, I built a Tayam deck and it went off. The reason why I tore it apart was it kept on doing the same thing each game. However, now that I think of it. I would really enjoy playing this guy again.

PSA: Tivet goes infinite with Time Sieve as long as you have at least 3 opponents. You can even play Time Sieve the turn you resolve Tivet and begin the combo off of the treasures you give yourself if you happen to have 2 other artifacts that were already in play before Tivet.

Rionya, fire dancer has become one of my favorite commanders I've played since I've begun playing. It's super powerful, crazy versatile, equally fun, and even on a budget you're still gonna have tons of ways to close out the game. She can really do it all, wanna land ramp? Make copies of sad robot. Want treasures? Wily goblin just made friends. Wanna play your opponent's best spells? Mindclaw shaman will rip the best instant or sorcery from their hand while also showing you other important targets as it reveals their hand.

Besides the cards mentioned, I also like Triskelavus in my Mazirek deck, then go infinite with either Devoted Druid, Pitiless Plunderer or Crystaline Crawler

I love my Mazirek deck, it is really strong and theres tons of synergy. I suppose it was probably overshadowed by Meren in its time and then people moved on.

My biggest problem is, like Beazy said, going infinite too easily. I had to tone down my deck a lot to fit my play group. It's easy to accidently build a very oppressive Mazi deck

@@bengarcia6880 Mine is the only deck where I have to warn people about anything other than clarifying the power level, but mostly because of the edict effects. It used to be a Jarad Golgari Lich Lord deck (so it started off lower power), and it has so many fun synergies where I basically sac something any time I do anything that I’ve never been able to bring myself to tune it further and take out those cards. It does have all the combos, but I only use a few sorcery speed tutors and go get Jarad instead. Usually decks that have infinite combos that you aren’t tutoring for are very inconsistent, but in my deck it just feels like an explosive turn and I’m still winning around when I said I could instead of “oops I won on turn 5-ing,” my playgroup. I think part of the reason is that Mazirek’s payoff is the next step down from infinite.

I have a Wort burn deck. Attacking literally NEVER happens. The entire deck is built to ramp lands, untap those lands a bunch and then copy burn spells to murk everyone with 40+ damage simultaneously

Mazirek bug boy here, even without infinite combos it can be gross. The card includes when ANYBODY sacrifices ANYTHING, so anyone that includes any fetchlands, treasures, etc will pump your board. Delicious...

Breena is the one precon I actually kept and upgraded rather than dismantling for parts. Tivit might have been the second, but I was already in the process of building a dumber, funner Tivit deck.

I literally took Breena out of cold storage yesterday. My original plan was to give her a last horah as I need her lands and and resources for Isshin...Yeah within turn 4 I had and Felisa putting pressure on the Sultai Enchantress and Hinata XD Had there been a forth person perhaps my politics would have worked out better but I was distributing counters, getting people to attack each other without goad and then getting Breena well past commander damage had I not been focusing on Bold Plagiarist to keep the horde of wolf tokens back/make sure I could swing through Hinata. The only weakness Breena has is she rewards you for not killing your opponents right away and her confusing text can lead to misplays. Like thinking the opponent just draws but forgetting it's life points that determine that. Needless to say I think I'm gonna move Breena from politics into a more Air Force Energy focus as Flyers are strong in any format and having a bunch of bird people is fun!

there are more ways to use clue tokens than just cracking them for cards. artifact synergies can be very powerful.

It depends on the state of the game. If you are low on cards and inundated with mana sources, they will give you treasure.

The dichotomy of this video, the first 3 aren't surprisingly strong, they are known entities that i think really anybody who knows magic can tell are good. The last 2 however are absolute garbage, breena especially since she only works if the table allows a politician (Which you never should, kill breena, shes a trap. That card is rewarding other players for doing what they were already going to).

Wort, I thought, was going to be a janky deck. Trial run #1 and I knew it was gonna be busted. A few more tweaks and it is yet another powerful budget brew. Just, watch out for massacre wurms
