prof I honestly don't understand your hate for imperial seal... its not that imperial seal is played instead of vampiric tutor or demonic tutor, it is played WITH those tutors for redundancy. in decks that want to be optimised, having several cards that do the same thing allows you to make a 100 unique card deck more consistent at delivering your much needed combos. in a sense, having 3 of these in your deck allows you to have, so to speak, 4 or more copies of any card. plus, you forget to mention that many decks, many many decks, have some sort of draw engine that allows you to not wait a complete cycle for you to draw it in your next turn. and this is why Imperial Seal is so expensive, because it is an excellent redundancy tool, every cEDH commander player needed one and like you mentioned, it was printed once, in a fairly limited printed set. Last point, for imperial seal you do not need to reveal the card that you're putting on top, so it doesn't really put a target on your back. you could be using it to fix your mana base or you could be pretending to find a solution to deal with a threat to the table.

What a shock. I feel bad for the folks dropping $300+ for a box and not breaking even. Too rich for my blood.

I played two preview events on my LGS and was ok there was good cards nothing excesive but some good cards. And about the spires. In booth events I did not drafted any spires and ended 2-1 playing three colors so I didnt feel it really important.

I went to two drafts and it was money cards everywhere, they missed me of course but not those next to me. Saw a full art altar, holo full art divining top, and some other big cards. Got an eldrazi on the 2nd draft so not bad myself, basically came out even in money cards.

I have three tops and i refuse to use them, ive been in games where all 4 players have a top out and it slows the game down so much

@@rtvandle It is certainly overused, and shouldn't be put in just "any" deck, though some decks need that top-deck manipulation to power them up.

I got 20 tops in my boxes, I kept getting one of foil and non foil in same packs I have 11 left

I was about to comment this. I opened 3 boxes of Mystery Boosters and got every good card except for Bloom Tender.

You'd probably have better luck with buying single copies. You could even buy a mystery booster and try your luck while still saving money. I pulled a mana crypt and teferis protection from my first box and then pulled another protection from another box. Either way I hope you're able to get the cards you want lol

I have one that I put in my "Humans" Commander deck. Yes, "Humans Tribal" is a rare breed of deck-build. But the newest Sigarda really makes humans work, the way that no other Commander ever has before.

yeah i had a draft (i bought the box, my friends just played the game with me) and pulled a wrenn and six, ulamog, emrakul, two borderless and one regular sensei's top, a borderless force of negation, a veldalken orrey, two teferi's protections... i think all in all it was worth almost twice what i paid for the box, and i got some nice trades from my friends along the way

I like the Eldraine, but annihilator is too strong and just ends up making you feel bad.

Highly agree! If they wanted to keep both artifacts and enchantments it should have target a player at least.

Make the tokens come into play tapped and the problem is solved, simple eratta. Yu-Gi-Oh does it on cards that have been out for a decade.

Out of the 10 times I played my Aminatpu deck, I only drew/used it once. The only reason I habe the card is because it was a bday present from friends. I would have never bought it. Overrated and overpriced imo

The only deck I have top in is my Mono blue goodstuff deck. I'm playing completely fair battlecruiser magic, and it REALLY smooths out the draws with the commander, Thassa, God of the Sea.

My first pack of Stryxhaven had a demonic tutor as the archive spell and I knew no other pack would be as good lol. I loved that set for fun play though. Awesome you got an altar btw, super jelous!!

We got Atraxa last time. The issue is the set isn't formally a commander set, so printing Eminence cards is unlikely. Maybe we'll get commander masters?
