Yes! Especially limiting your drinking. Don’t get me wrong I love a margarita, but when you are traveling alone, you need to be in control and aware of your surroundings. Don’t let anyone buy you a drink, and if you do make sure to take the drink directly from the bartender - be cautious if someone offers to go to an out of sight bar and bring the drink back to you. Don’t loose your brain just because you are on vacation. 🤷🏻♀️
im going on the conquest as a solo cruiser dec 2nd and i will be getting the drink package only cause after using OBC ill only be out of pocket a little over a 100 dollars so its worth it to me, especially as i also am a major coffee drinker and soda drinker so those unlimited or limited ( spiked coffees) make it worth it to me, i also know my limits and keep to it

I don't even post anything about my trips until I get home FROM my trip. I treat vacationing as I do when I am home - I am observant and aware of my surroundings at all times. I don't tell people that I am solo traveling, always someone is in the cabin or somewhere else on the ship. I use Viator a lot pre or post cruise. In ports, I use the cruise line mainly because of my anxiety about being left LOL So I go with the cruise line, I know I am good - not only safety wise but if something happens and there is a delay, vehicle breakdown - I am not on anyone's video running to the ship.
This would be a great topic for another video. I drank a ton of fancy coffee on my last trip and had pressed juice but it still didn’t make the package worth it.
Not a big drinker. Maybe one or two glasses of wine with a meal. Or a Mimosa with Brunch. Don't like to post anything on real time. Usually don't get out of the casino until the early hours. Many times they have to throw me out of the casino. Always like booking shore excursions through the cruise line. New subscriber. And did hit the like button.
@@TheJennDanielle There are lots of games to play in the casino. Have learned to play most of them. There aren't that many games good for having a shot at winning or at least to hang in there and be a tough out.
Oh yikes!! I bought the drink package on my upcoming Celebrity Ascent solo cruise as i do like 4-5 drinks a day through out my day and dont want to hear that mental cash register chinging. Really good tips!! I am binge watching your series!

This is a really useful video! I remember being horrified finding someone SO drunk on NCL Escape in the solo cabin corridor - I can’t think of anything worse than being in that position!

I agree about the drink package. I don’t think it’s because people don’t know their limit, but they tend to drink more to try and ‘get their money’s worth’.

Oh man, I've cruised solo twice and on the first night of each cruise I enjoyed 'touring' the cruise ship by walking by myself late at night to get to know the ship better precisely cuz there was no one around and I had the areas all to myself. I even recorded videos/pictures. I thought "I'm in a cruise ship, not walking the streets." but now that I hear you say that, I think to myself that dam! I could have been snatched and locked up in an area in the ship difficult to be found. LMAO!!! I don't plan on cruising anytime soon. But if I ever do, I'll tour the ship with ppl around, better idea.
I’ve done it too and I agree, it’s such a serene time to be out. But yeah, it’s not the safest thing to do. I also agree that it’s different than being out in the streets.
People need to hear over and over that flying in the day before the cruise is the best option. Now solo cruisers have one more good reason to follow that advice.
I’m always surprised that people travel the day of because it tires you out before day 1. I live in Atlanta so it’s maybe an hour and a half flight but I still wouldn’t unless I absolutely had to.
