I felt similar in regards to performance with the "feel". Next day after buying it I removed the honeycomb restricter and there was a very big noticeable difference. All the other BS you stated is Petty AF. If you don't like it then you shouldn't have purchased it. The car is special. Hope your outlook changes and you enjoy her.

Let me address this stuff. Hood struts, add weight. The sticker stuff on hood sure its hard to see black on black from a distance so cant tell its Mach 1. The Mach puts down 440-450WHP with the manual so it is 500-510HP at engine, while the Dark Horse puts down 430WHP and is rated at 500HP at the engine. You can look up manual mach 1 dynos on youtube and compare to dark horse. All the original Mach 1s have the horse on the steering wheel not that after market junk. HP Mach 1s come with racing slicks, you have street tires on so its downgraded and slower than stock on track or street.
Isn't all the newer Mustang tuned down? None of them make the power they are suppose from the wheel. And u mean how heavy is a hood strut Yano. Will it make that big of a difference
Cup 2's aren't racing slicks. They are very sticky yes, but you can still drive them in the rain if you are careful. Racing slicks are illegal on the road where I live.
😂😂😂 bro you do realize the mach 1 makes the same if not more power than a Dark horse right ? Check all the dyno videos it makes way more than a GT and 10hp more than a dark horse when optioned with a manual. Add that it is also lighter than a Darkhorse as well. There’s a reason ford downplayed the mach 1 so that the Darkhorse could sell better. But they’re basically the same car 😂
All the points you made in reality are very minor. You saying it’s just a GT is misleading. There are plenty of charts comparing a GT vs Mach 1 parts, you should look up the that list on a mustang forum. In my opinion what makes a Mach 1 special is optioning it with the Tremec 6 speed transmission. The same one in the Shelby GT350’s. Also if you wanted to feel special about owning a Mach 1, maybe you should have gone with Fighter Jet Gray. I know not everyone likes it but that color is Mach 1 specific and cannot be on a GT or Darkhorse. Also, the comment about all the guys buying GT’s and adding the Mach 1 parts got me chuckling. You’re telling me these boys are ripping out there MT82 transmissions and slapping a Tremec 6 speed on there GT’s? Along with new tires/wheels, aero spoiler with gurney, additional front splitter, wheel lip moldings, Recaros, performance air filter, GT500 catback, and GT350 handling parts underneath? I highly doubt that is what I’m getting at.
There's a reason why no one is buying the Mach 1. It is more of a gimmick package than the others. Sad but true. The only real "buys" currently were dark horse if you were a ford buyer.
