who wouldn't get nervous when a random racing driver stepped in your car for the very first time and took your car on a famous track known for killing every drivers there?
Glad someone did because no one else seemed to. I had far more fun watching Misha wind out the Seat Leon Cubra with the wife in the back seat laughing.
Wow this channel is still growing like crazy. I remember watching this channel a couple years ago and it being at 100k? now its already 100k over 1M so soon. Crazy, good work misha.
Really nice. I like how you can get plenty of power out of this engine even from 4-4.5k RPM, that's a lot of usable rev band if you let it howl up to 7k and dont need to constantly shift gears. Always had a soft spot for Mustangs.
3:10 That has to be the thickest brain marshal I've yet seen... Wave yellow behind a blind crest then get angry that you didn't see him 😂 And there wasn't even a reason that I can see to have a yellow anyways
I was there the same day as this in my Boxster S. The young lad was staying with an older gentleman, presumably his dad, but doesn't mean it's not his car
Thankfully finally a youth that didn’t get in the car with his phone strapped to his face! Think he experienced every emotion and as always Misha your just gangster 🤙
I have the same Mach1, the non performance package trim. Car did well around the track for having the 255 front and 275 rear tires. I wish I got to see a lap with no yellows. The performance package trim comes with wider sticky 305f/315r tires and a long front chin spoiler and big rear wing. Next mustang car for Misha to test out, the Dark Horse, which youtubers seem to be raving about its handling and braking.
Being a passenger is way scarier than driving. I would have no problem doing 180mph on a bike at the ring, but I would never get in a passenger seat with someone else racing a car. The feeling of not having control of the car scares the hell out of me.
I also love my (modded) '15 Mustang GT :-) It's the nicest car I ever owned - and probably will never sell again. Hope I will make it to the Nordschleife one day with it. Keep it up Misha.
All MACH 1 manuals have the tremec gearbox. full equiped magneride suspension stiffer swaybars, plenty of cooling diff & transmission ect it is a track beast even as stock car, thats why it is know as a track focused car. how do i know ?? i have one in jetfightet grey. i am amazed he doesnt know about his own car. the tremec gear box was taken from the 350, and is known as one of the best gear boxes ever found in a mustang. watching this car going around here is pretty amazing for a stock car.
American cars have done a complete 180° turnaround. They used to be for drag racing now because they are usually naturally aspirated rear wheel drive cars, They suck for drag racing but they’re fantastic for circuit racing. Vastly more reliable and more fun than any BMW regardless of price.
Misha.. The Mach 1 does have the 3160 tremec.. its a nice piece as long as you don't want big power, as it has hollow shafts and cannot hold power like a TR6060/T56..
@stanger427 There are many different gear sets for 6060/t56 trans.. Chevrolet uses them, my 22 SS 1LE Camaro has one, and a different one in the ZL1, and a different one in the ZL1 1LE.. Three different gear sets, they are used in Hellcats, Vipers, GT500's from 2007-2014.. Ford cheaped out and went to the Mt-82 & 3160.. Neither of them are good.. options..
That’s definitely a Tremec in that car Misha. That car is a mix of the GT, GT350, and the GT500. It didn’t have the track package though. That adds a different rear spoiler, different front splitter, Cup 2’s, and maybe some coolers, not sure if the non track pack has all the same engine, trans, and diff coolers. You also get adjustable top strut mounts with the track pack. Like the GT350, the Mach 1’s ( with the track package) do pretty well for how much weight they carry.
I have a 2022 base Mach 1 and yes it has all the same coolers as the handling package. Base comes with 255 in front and 275 in rear and usually has the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires which are still really good for grip
From what I’ve experienced, Tremec transmissions take a few thousand miles to really get the proper feel. I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this.
You really need to get your hands on a gt500 and drive it yourself around here i really think it would be good content to see what it can do around here with you behind the wheel try to find a carbon fiber track pack if possible
The way he said WE had a convertible before. Guessing its his Dad's car and he didn't want to be on camera? Either way dream to go round the ring with Misha.
Hahahahahahaha!!!!! He may have soiled himself a few times during the making of the video! Hahahahaha. He was grinning but you could tell he was stressed!
Third gear in my ‘04 Terminator would pull out hard to 137 in third gear.Wonder how this Mach is geared, maybe track specific.I did have Stage II Comps up top tho.
Video doesn't render the color of that car well. My Focus ST is Race Red, and I call it "retina searing red". When the sun shines on the car, it turns every pale object around it some shade of pink or red.
I Have a Mustang and my only real complaint is how the stock gears are absurdly, stupidly tall. He almost hit maximum speed (155mph) while in 4th gear, meaning that there are almost two entire gears that are almost useless. IIRC redline in 6th gear is something silly like 240+ mph. My recommendation is to get short gears on it as soon as you can.
@stanger427 You can clearly see his tach shows redline at 7300 rpm (?) and the shift at 3:10 is 139mph. In 4th gear. Maybe Ford was lazy and never re-programmed the instruments to show 7500 rpm as the redline. With 3.55 gears, his speeds match up fairly well. I think for him to reach top speed in 5th ( let alone 6th ) he needs about 3.90 gears (calculating it out). I'd consider 4.10 to be close enough and a good bit of extra boost to how it gets up to speed. Give that 6th gear a little use as well. :) Of course, there is no free lunch. 4.10 gears would improve his speed but also require better tires as he's more likely to spin on hard shifts. But a few suspension upgrades to make it stiffer might solve that as well. But that's why I love them. So many inexpensive ways to change things. :) I do think that 4.56 gears are far too aggressive. Lol. Nobody sane uses those.
@stanger427 You might need a racing driveshaft, but probably not. The drive-train apparently can handle up to 190+ mph and is basically what they used in the original GT re-issue. 4.10 seems to be fine from what I read. I do know that if you have a two piece driveshaft, like in the V6 and Ecoboost, those do tend to grenade at about 130mph, being made of plastic.
Auto shorter gear(10 of them) so more noises when driving and faster acceleration, which is a plus. Manual more engaging, very hard to decide in my opinion.
That’s a cool car but you can dam near get a gt350 for the price of a Mach 1 at least here in the states makes no sense to me to get this for the prices they want
